you can choose more steering angle by going on front suspension - steering - quick ratio drift steering
Anything with drift in the title already has quick ratio drift steering by default. I imagine a mod exists to increase it even further
@@dougzzzie738 you can go into the car file and change the numbers for steering angle
@@Nxee453 some cars already have their steering angle maxed out before you start over centering and breaking arms etc. You get to that point very easily and to relocate the steering rack takes alot more modification of the code.

@@jaysworkshop7573 it depends on the vehicle, i made a mod for the new legrand wagon, not released yet, i moved the rack forward by moving 4 nodes, then modified and shortened the knuckles (2 more nodes) and then lowered the amount the steering rack moves since by default the drift steering wanted to extend beyond the limit of the rack 😅
Worked well and took little effort, other cars can be a lot more complicated cause the jbeam anti invert may stop it
He should do that again with the even more updated tire physics in the 0.22 update
There are no major tire updates in this update. I will check but I doubt that there are any tire updates in this update
@@flywithtb5005 .22 drastically improved how the tire model feels, maybe it was .21 but either way the grip started feeling way more realistic recently especially on pavement. feels like a full on driving sim just the force feedback still feels a little wonky compared to AC or AMS2.

Some very precise and clean drifting! It'd be really cool to see some tandem drifting. You can get in touch with the Simply Sideways guys and find some people to tandem with pretty easily, as well as getting some tips on drift car setups specific to BeamNG

If you go to the UI app editor in the side menu you can add the FFB Graph, that will let you know if your FFB is clipping or if it can be turned up. Keep the red wavey inside the faint red lines is generally what I do.
As a pretty experienced BeamNg player I´m I would say...... OK at Drifting but I never saw someone Drifting so good in BeamNG! RESPECT!!! Oh and a Like for you!
been drifting on beamng w my dd wheel, theres a drift car mod in the repository and endless maps to explore, dunno about multiplayer, we can hope

great video! see i find this game even harder after going from assetto, if i barely yank handbrake and turn it does like a full 360 and i dont know how there tuning works since its all percentages , after watching this makes me want to get back into it, but there are NO videos on wheel settings or drifting, i think if you made one it would help alot of people and blow up since there isnt one out there yet xD

Thank you for talking about the different tires actually making a difference with a ffb wheel. It was an idea that I had when I would drift with controller using drift tires(the drift tires give controller drifters more forgiveness when correcting or holding angle).
You should try the Gavril Grand Marshal drift variant. It's a good feeling car on the controller so I can only imagine what crazy stuff it's capable of with the precision of a steering wheel.

Yes, i really enjoyed this! You gotta love this sim!! I played this since the very beginning. The physics engine feels so damn good with a wheel and pedals.
I would love to see you try this with beam ng’s updated driving physics! I hear they’ve really upped their game in recent updates
Great video. It takes skill and practice to drive well in this game. Many people give up at taking it seriously and just crash or do funny things. Mad respect for anyone who pushes themselves in this. For anyone interested, I upload BeamNG drift videos also.

For the Force Feedback, maybe take a look at the FFB Settings. I plugged in my wheel and it had a Filter turned on that I had to turn down
Try UkFab Wide Spec Drift Steering mod. It's what I use in all my videos for all cars.

Have like 3000 hours on this game and tried out assetto yesterday. It seemed way too easy compared to beamng drive so I'll probably be sticking with beam. The weight transfer seems much more snappy in beam compared to assetto which makes it more challenging.
Harder does not mean more realistic.

Thing your gotta remember it's all with soft body physics and such making the whole force feed back alot harder to set up
The 3L Turbodiesel W124 Mod is pretty good to drift with. I can do that easily with a keyboard, easier than the sunburst.

the reason why i like beamng is beacose if you do something wrong, it can cost you the lap/drift but for ''competetive'' / drifting with others, assetto is much nicer. also on beamng the fact that you can almost unlimitedly tune the vehicles. also for the people hoping for multiplayer in beamng, its even more heavy on the system but its playable if you have a good pc, it can be found on google by BeamMP

Welcome to a true simulator, based on correct math models done by true engineers! The graphics might sometimes foul your mind making you think that some reactions or moves are unrealistic, but if you analyze the physical simulation thoroughly you'll see that it simulates things correctly spot on. The only things that I've found incompletely modeled or not modeled yet are the aerodynamic draft behind another vehicle which should reduce both vehicles pressure drag (but mostly for the vehicle behind) and the fact that where the tires leave traces of rubber on the asphalt/track, whenever you drive over those marks, the grip should be very slightly increased because the rubber on rubber contact has a higher skidding friction coefficient than the rubber on asphalt alone! Rfactor 2 does these things as well. Cheers!

You definetly must try MP tandems! The feel that you can bend your friends car is super exciting
Not a pro drifter at any means, but i found BeamNG the most realistic "sim" for drifting, because of weight shifting, even on gamepad it feels really realistic. After i figured it out with my friend on MP, soon i bought a BMW e36 Compact IRL and started to drift on snow a bit, and as i can tell, weight shift is superior in this game, gave me almost same feelings on steering and car's behavior. Even better than AC, in my opinion
Yeah, the first thing I did in BeamNG when I got a wheel was learn how to drift. It took me 5 minutes and most of that was just because I had never used a FFB wheel before. It translated over almost exactly from how it was in real life.
Only issue with beam is type model.

You can get more steering angle by installing angle extenders in car parts

Also there are tons of steering mods/settings that will give you a bigger steering angle
you can adjust the steering angle from the same menu where you change wheels

Alan there are Steering mods out one of them Is applied if the car has a license plate option
Edit : You can change the settings of the cars in game even the tires :)

kinda late but can you give me the setup you used in the video on the s13 (200bx)?
5:16 you can tune the engine and change the tires and wheels so that you have more grip and power
if you find the gears too short or long you can use Ctrl+W and if the car is equipped with a race diff or race gearbox you can adjust all ratios. I guess you should know but you were sometimes struggling and even commented on the ratios in the first car.
2:30 you could have put in a sneaky 360 there if you had enough control of it :o

When i drift on Beam 100% street tires are much better, and once you spend some long hours perfecting your tunes the cars will be spot on, get minami but there are 2 versions now I believe get the older on it has a better jump, i need to get back on it was soo fun slamming the walls making the cars missiles, and i have a video on my channel but by no means is my wheels set up good enough to take advantage

If you can drift in real life, then its guaranteed u can drift in this game, but u need all of the stuff i think, like pedals, clutch, steering wheele, gearbox, and handbrake. (if it even exists.
