have 1000 hours and the closest i ever got to tandems with AI was starting a donut keeping the keys pressed and moving on to the other car and i got 3 cars drifting at the same time, thats about it, they gotta add a propper drifting AI it would make taking screenshots so much better
I figured it out today using the ai traffic tool, AI Mode: Traffic In Lane: OFF Set AI the risk to 2.0 Awareness: Auto Min Drivability: 0.9 Mode: Limit Only important thing to note is setting the ROUTE SPEED VALUE to the speed in which most corners WOULD be performed. For me setting this Speed Value to 65 allowed the AI to slow down fast enough but also be accelerated enough to slide through corners and maintain control This worked for me on the map Beam Mountain, idk about any others yet
I came across this when I looked up if its possible for Ai do drift which is most games I see its not really possible but I just wish you can record gameplay and play it back like a ghost only you can interact with it I dont think this method works for trucks like offroad power sliding, then again this game is still in early access and AI isn't easy to setup speaking from experience xd cool video btw keep it up AwA
the one solution i would think off is some way to record one drift run to act as a leader (kinda like replay mode) then you would follow that rrecorded car as the chaser simmilar to the tandem drift mode in Car X or other games.
I know that you are using an in-game AI, however if you could get the AI to learn that the car can swing a certain amount of degrees left or right without spinning it could work. Good luck :)
AI must not only achieve a certain angle of swing, but also maintain it for a long period of time, while following trajectory of movement... Seems too complicated for me at this point :)
I manage to do it by accident with giving them a car I made in automation and telling them to chase me. They were making huge drift even some tandem with each others

I don't know within the last few updates the AI is definitely capable of doing a controlled drift.
