    I was first truly inspired to pursue music after hearing your first acoustic album. A year and a half later music has become the biggest part of my life and I just received a scholarship to help me to pursue a career in music. Your music often gave me the drive I needed to push through and troubles I faced. And before the year ends you release this song and remind me how much your music means to me and how much you inspire me, so thank you so much. I wouldn't be this passionate and driven if I hadn't found your art a year and a half ago.

    part of me wants to say only "wow" in response to this because how amazed i am is difficult to put into words... but express is different... this makes me want to both cry and scream out loud... i rarely find music that makes me physically feel different from how i was previously but so much of what you write does that to me... THIS is why you are my musician goals. THIS is why you inspire me. it's not because of your insane talent at performing or writing (both of which are evident and well known) not because of your commitment to it all... but because your music never fails to just make me feel...always, ALWAYS breathtaking!

    Brilliant! I’m not sure if something like this has been really done before, but as far as I know you’ve created a whole new genre of music with this. It’s Indie Rock music with a strictly Classical aesthetic. Completely different from piano based pop/rock, jazz influenced rock like Mouse on The Keys, or classical music that brings pop/rock elements into it like neoclassical. This is like Indie Chamber Music? haha

    You've just made neoclassical math-rock. That is amazing! I'd really love to see this kind of music in mainstream.

    • @vZZenn
      @vZZenn 5 років тому +28

      Just because it's piano, doesn't make it neoclassical /: I'm not trying to be a snob or pretentious, this piece/song is reallllly great, but there isn't really too much classical influence in here. It's basically math rock on piano (which sounds multitudes more beautiful if i may say so myself). This can be considered neoclassical I guess in the same sense as Yiruma, the guy who wrote "River Flows in you" except it's extremely pop influenced and doesn't really develop themes and such in the way classical music does. (There is an obvious building of atmosphere and emotion though). There is nothing bad about it or worse for doing so, but there are very noticeable simple patterns that are repeated often.

      Why?

    • @crowing3886
      @crowing3886 5 років тому +3

      @@vZZenn it's definitely more in the classical realm easy. A duet of piano an violin with a building theme. This doesn't really have math rock qualities at all. It would just sound like her mathrock band covet it it were lol.

    • @vZZenn
      @vZZenn 5 років тому +12

      @@crowing3886 Just because it has piano and violin does not make it classical... It is also barely a duet as the violin is more of an accompaniment insignificant to anything other than adding to the atmosphere and making the sound more fuller (kinda funny since normally piano accompanies other instruments) The theme barely builds. It builds like most other emotional pop and math rock (a bit more complicated) songs. It is emotionally and thematically one dimensional (rarely if at all found classical music) There is barely any harmony AT ALL (besides maybe the violin), the left hand is just playing simple arpeggios most of the time, while the left hand is playing repeating melodies. I mean... I wasn't trying to come off as so, but to call this classical, any classical composer would find that laughable. There is no melodic/harmonic development, not even rhythmic development. The development only happens in the atmosphere (with the help of the repeating melodies) getting more and more tense to create the climax and then quickly dissipates into the outro.

    • @crowing3886
      @crowing3886 5 років тому +2

      @@vZZenn then you don't know many classical composers who are out of the basic realm of traditional classical music.
      That's like saying listz isn't classical or brahms an wagner aren't because they didn't rely on melody allot either. Symphonies don't either because allot of pieces follow the same structure. Stravinsky would definitely like a word as well lol.
      It doesn't sound like covet an both are traditionally classical instruments an comparing this to traditional pop music of today is a bit of a stretch. An are you insinuating math rock contained no melody?
      "Oh no, where's the counterpoint!?" Must not he classical by your standards.
      I didn't say It's classical to the t but it's far from math rock. Or neoclassical as the op stated. An depending on the piece violin can accompany piano allot. Beethoven would disprove you almost immediately. His entire violin sonatas are all violin accompanying piano.

These types artists would have helped alot by inspiring me and I could've been toured different countries by now for the gigs. I started listening to good music only at my age of 18 and now I'm 23, an average level vocalist who ditched every other thing jus for the music, who craves to impart creative ideas into the music. It's so depressing that I realised the purpose of my existence like exactly a year ago, which is too late... I'm stuck in between my life goals and my reality, which is eventually a curse of every middle class-ed Indian youths. It's jus preposterous...

    I hope I'll have success in music and if it happens it will somehow be thanks to you

    Yvette is so damn inspiring to beginner instrumentalists like me. If I hit a wall with my piano, coming to this and watching her play is amazing and pushes me forward.

    You are the opposite of most modern music. Not about joining the lazy gravy train to become a millionaire with the least amount of work possible, using puters to hide a lack of talent instead of adding to great songs and great talent like Pink Floyd.

    I didn't like it at first, but when I took a step back from your guitar based music and listened again in a different mood I finally got it. It's Yvette, not Covet.
