Someone really loved making that puzzle, so many references to Legends of Runeterra and the whole universe. Its amazing and I really would love to have one of these. simply amazing Dropping some small knowledge to what the symbols are and about the cards. The first card we got was Viktor, a scientist from Piltover which is a highly technological part of the world, who is creating mechanical parts to replace them with parts of your body to improve the functions of the human body. He is all about evolving and progress. The second card was Riven, a warrior from Noxus who was involved on the attack on Ionia and felt guilty because she was trying to find out how her sword can be destroyed (its infused with magic) and someone on Ionia tried to break the sword but got stabbed by one of the magical pieces of the sword, since then the sword is broken into pieces and they connect together during her ultimate ability. She lived in Ionia for a while after the attack because of the guilt but recently she got captured by warriors of noxus and brought back to noxus. The third card was Zoe, also known as the trickster or the Aspect of Twilight. She was a normal girl and ascended to the Aspect of Twilight through Mount targon, which is a magical place in Runeterra. Zoe is thousand of years old although she looks like a child and her whole thematic is about trickery and fooling others. One piece of her lore involves her beeing the reason why a war between normal humans and Demons, also known as the Darkin, ended because she gave the humans the power to seal the Darkins into weapons. She also chained the cosmic dragon Aurelion Sol, the creator of the universe to the world of Runeterra and sealed his power in a crown, which you can even see ingame. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Coming to the symbols, which you know are faction symbols. starting with the "Sword dragon" which actually is a serpent, this is Bilgewater, a place full of pirates. The Serpent represents the monsters of the sea and the sword represents the pirates. Bilgewater is also close to the shadow lands to which we come later. second, "the ice thing" (which is actually not too far off) is mount targon, a giant mountain in Runeterra which reaches up into the night sky. Everyone who climbs that mountain is granted cosmic powers and will be called an Aspect. Many tried to climb the mountain but its a long journey and the mountain is covered in snow and ice so it is not an easy task and many die on the way to the top so they never ascend. third one, "fire", which is Ionia and represents the flow of magic in Ionia. Everything in Ionia is magical, especially the earth and nature. For example, if you chop down a tree in Ionia and you do not plant a new seed, nature will attack you until you die or you plant a new seed. Trees become walking giants, the earth splits up to consume you, water tries to drown you. Ionia basically is full of self protection and always attacks you when you take something away without giving something back. fourth symbol, "sword", is Demacia and the sword and the wings around it represent the god they believe in in demacia, named Kayle. Kayle is also an ascended that got her powers from her mother who ascended on mount targon. She is an angelic warrior with wings and a sword. People in Demacia believe and pray to her and Demacia is a city in which they are strictly against magic of any form. They even build everything out of petricite, a material which drains magical power and stores them. Whenever you get caught in Demacia and you are a mage, you get thrown into prison with petricite chains and gauntlets and you probably will never be released. Lorewise Demacia is in changing spot, Sylas, a champion from League of Legends, was also a Mage imprisoned in Demacia but little did they know that his powers actually steal magical power to enhance it and redirect it. Because of the petricite, which stores all magic ever consumed by it, he just touches any kind of object and absorbs the magic to redirect it. That way he escaped the prison because he befriended himself with the princess of Demacia (which surprisingly is magic user but she hides it from everyone) and he blasts his way out of the prison and is now forming an army to free the magical users. Then there is the fifth symbol, "eyeball", aka the shadow Isles. They once were the blessed Isles but a king that we only know as the ruined king seeked for a way to revive his dead wife and he thought he found that way on the blessed Isles, although the people there told him not to try or it will end in a tragedy. The king just murdered everyone and tried to resurrect his wife but with all the stored magical powers withing the blessed isles and the undead magical powers the whole island exploded and changed to the shadow isles, a place in which the dead are alive again and they try to consume souls. The shadow isles are covered in the Black mist, which spreads outwards during the Harrowing (known as halloween in our world) and reaches to the shores of Bilgewater in which the humans try to fight of the undead. Everyone who dies loses their soul to the Warden of the shadow isles, Thresh, who basically is the keeper of all souls. Last on the box is the "cogwheel" which represents Piltover, the highly technological city which is basically "the future" because they use technical machines to handle all sorts of stuff while all the other regions dont use mechanical machines. They are the leaders in terms of technology but they also hide secrets. Like the city below Piltover is called Zaun, which is basically the slums of Piltover. In Zaun humans replace their limbs with technical parts to be the conqueror of the slums and be stronger than anyone else there. This is also the place they work around with chemtech, a chemical weapon implanted into technology which basically works like acid. Then there is also the secret in piltover on which all the power is coming from, because all that power is stored in crystal which people just know as hextech crystals but only a few know that those crystals were actually living beeings known as the brackens who turn into crystals to survive for century until they recharge their magical power to awaken once again and keep the earth alive. Piltovians found those crystals and took them with them and are now using them as infinite magical power. There are missing some regions on Box, like Noxus, the enemy of Demacia, the Freljord, an icy land in the north of runeterra, Shurima, a desert at the southern part of the world and some minor regions like Ixtal (spoken as ishtal) or Icathia/The Void which basically is another world with void creatures that come out of a Void portal in Icathia. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also the box is full of details, like the board is Piltover themed on one side (the green one) and Targon themed on the other side (the grey one). This box is truly amazind and alot of worked was put into this. A really nice puzzle you got there =).
@Night Jisso Nice TLDR but you got somethings wrong, Zoe didn't give peoples power to enslaved the Darkins in weapons, that was the previous aspect of twilight Myisha, also she didn't enslave Aurelion Sol either, that was the work of Pantheon (the aspect of war for those unfamiliar), she is actually a really good friend with the "space puppy" because she is the only one that he can trust and doesn't want to get something from him. Also, she didn't ascend through Mount Targon, the aspect of twilight granted her it's power just because she was fun. Lux or Luxanna isn't the princess of Demacia, the prince is Jarvan the 4th, Lux is from the Crownguard family, which is a noble family that, as the name suggests, protect the royal family.

gonna be completely honest here. this is the first puzzle box video i actually sat down and watched the full way through. not skip through, not keep it on in the back ground. i sat back, and enjoyed every second of it.
Must admit, if a video is sponsored I'd usually avoid liking it or even watching it sometimes depending on the video length but gotta say, when a company/sponsor actually puts effort into their sponsorship outside of 'here, have money, promote our game', they deserve respect for it, this was/is a dope puzzle and amazing to see such quality from a sponsor, congrats on beating it and here's to hoping we get to see more sponsors doing awesome stuff like this. I think this is actually my favorite puzzle box Chris has ever solved. I could tell there were some cuts to remove moments of floundering/frustration, but everything he did that was shown was really intuitive to my brain and it felt like I could've solved it myself as well (I don't always think that, since I'm don't do/buy puzzles and don't have practice).

Bit of info on the symbols and characters this puzzle uses, for people new to the whole thing... Symbols: 1) The sea-serpent and cutlass = Bilgewater, lawless pirate city. 2) The mountain top with a pierced halo = Mt. Targon, basically Mt. Everest with star magic. 3) The serpent encircling a flame = Ionia, the "mystical Orient" region. 4) The winged greatsword = DEMACIA! Old, fairly small kingdom that REALLY hates magic. 5) The flaming skull = The Shadow Isles, cursed land of undying ghosts and ghouls. 6) They key and cog = Piltover/Zaun, the twin cities of progress, with steam-punk and chem-punk themes respectively. 7) The Axe and skull = Noxus, expansionistic, inclusive kratocracy (rule of the strong). This one wasn't on the box, but it's my favourite faction so I'm including it anyway, lol. Characters: 1) Victor, the Machine Herald: from Piltover/Zaun, believes mechanical augmentation is key to furthering human evolution. 2) Riven, the Exile: Ex-soldier with a powerful runic blade who defected from Noxus after seeing chemical warfare used. 3) Zoe, the Aspect of Twilight: child from Mt. Targon, host to a cosmic entity who heralds great change (usually catastrophes).

@@Tomas970506 I've been a tester for many years, as well as a developer. Trust me, it is simple to make something that does what it needs to do, it is a lot more difficult to make sure it doesn't do what it mustn't do.
@@Tomas970506 defensive coding is great if you can afford the time it takes, but more often than not deadlines are a thing and you can only make it so fool proof. at least you can make the software fail graciously if there's a problem. but I'd be careful with being sure you can make a program that's fully safe, there's always a few edge cases that can go by without noticing. for example, what if the user enters null as their name? fairly easy to predict, but a few conversions later you cannot be as sure that at some point it wasn't converted to a null value. if you're working with software that's mainly algorithms and deals with apis you can make it fairly robust but if you're dealing with messy stuff like electron or other similar fast development framework they can easily ruin your day by doing stuff they shouldn't.
@@satibel U sir won today. I completely agree. As a backend coder I usually feel pretty good about my coverage. Dropping some small knowledge to what the symbols are and about the cards.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coming to the symbols, which you know are faction symbols.
starting with the "Sword dragon" which actually is a serpent, this is Bilgewater, a place full of pirates.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also the box is full of details, like the board is Piltover themed on one side (the green one) and Targon themed on the other side (the grey one). This box is truly amazind and alot of worked was put into this. A really nice puzzle you got there =).
Thank you so much! We loved creating this one 👍

@@PuzzleboxCreations-PBC Really amazing. How many man-hours would you say it took for the entire thing?

Bit of info on the symbols and characters this puzzle uses, for people new to the whole thing...
Symbols:
1) The sea-serpent and cutlass = Bilgewater, lawless pirate city.
Characters:
1) Victor, the Machine Herald: from Piltover/Zaun, believes mechanical augmentation is key to furthering human evolution.
2) Riven, the Exile: Ex-soldier with a powerful runic blade who defected from Noxus after seeing chemical warfare used.
3) Zoe, the Aspect of Twilight: child from Mt. Targon, host to a cosmic entity who heralds great change (usually catastrophes).

at least you can make the software fail graciously if there's a problem.
but I'd be careful with being sure you can make a program that's fully safe, there's always a few edge cases that can go by without noticing. for example, what if the user enters null as their name? fairly easy to predict, but a few conversions later you cannot be as sure that at some point it wasn't converted to a null value.
if you're working with software that's mainly algorithms and deals with apis you can make it fairly robust but if you're dealing with messy stuff like electron or other similar fast development framework they can easily ruin your day by doing stuff they shouldn't.

@@aKingInGodsKindom its highly unlikely to have a fourth card, as the featured expansion had only 3 new champions and he found all of them
@@aKingInGodsKindom yea the new mini expansion only had 3 champions so there were no other cards possible.
That feeling when you’re ment to be editing but you’re like “just one more puzzle video with Ramsey”…. My procrastination has found it’s ultimate friend! But I love it!
*"It's a deck of cards!"
-You lucky f****r, no way.
*Shows the cards.
-Oh, they're just poker cards.
AHA same,, they're still sick tho
this was my exact reaction xD
FOR REAL THOUGH
Same
Same dude haha
Sweet puzzle. So love watching these intricate designs. Especially seeing the inside knowing it probably took someone days if not months to programme each individual step to work so smoothly
For one second i was so excited and thought the deck of card is actually cards from ingame. Or at least with ingame characters print on it.
Still cool tho.
oh my god me too. i got so jealous for a good second. we can only.hope for something like that in the future tho :)
@WullNar that would have made the perfect finishing touch
Imagine, riot creates deck of card just like in the game.
My first thought about that key on a chain was, sneaky!! You need to unlock more to get more chain to reach that keyhole!
Yaaas!! Cool!! This puzzle is so sick!!
Oh yea, let’s not forget the brilliant Antwon for setting these all up !!
This is a next-level marketing move. Fun to watch, thanks Chris.
In what way
@@juggmkj because they're the only sponsor who made a costum job puzzle box?, tell me who else do that?
@@zackfiat607 and a special deck of card and nice ones at that
Chris! Congrats on getting this puzzle, and solving it! I'm playing the card game since it is open beta, and I'm having immense fun with it. By the looks of it, you have had your fun with the box too! Not too easy, not too hard. Don't worry about the terms and naming things, the little easter eggs we noticed were worth *all* the time you spent in showcasing it!
(Fun fact: The three champion cards that unlocked the victory screen are from the latest expansion from december. So the puzzle has an extra actuality regarding the game state.)
its actually just released now
and the end credit music being KDA was such a good ending to this journey
That's the lab lofi remix

I knew it! I wasn’t sure I’d KDA was playing.
Love the key on a chain. It reminds me of the story about the elephant tied with a bit of string at its birth, and even into his muscular adulthood, it still felt bound by that piece of string. He was right that he could rip the key off, but it was like a subtle reminder by the puzzle designers that sometimes there is fun in constraint.
Love how you managed to get such a great sponsored video. I wish you and everyone a happy new year!
"i dont know know the faction names"
Me who played from season 2: Yeah nether do I
I've watched many puzzle boxes here Chris, and gotta say this was definitely one of the best ones! It's awesome that it was a crossover with one of my favorite games :)
I bet the team that put this together thoroughly enjoyed watching you solve it
