I'm still tryna imagine how that is rigged up. like how the magnets were deactivated by (I'm guessing) a command on an arduino control board. they aren't electromagnets, just regular ones. obviously they are spring loaded drawers, but it's so clever how they activate. maybe held in place (or pushed away from the magnet) by tiny levers? but that'd be a bunch of tiny motors and levers inside very little space and I can't really picture that working, unless it's like super fine clockwork. it didn't sound like any motors moving. just a slight bit of latency as the code responds to the circuits being completed in order, and then out it pops (the last one was the most intense). With all the magnets in the drawer maybe the drawers are just launched out by repelling one another and once the prerequisites are met the latches in back of the boxes are realeased and bingo boxes are "yeeted"

Looks like there are still a few small drawers around the sides, and also a trap door under the main box. But in any case, you did solve it, and it was fun to watch! Oh, and lol, that missing leg making it not standing stable hit a nerve with me :)
20:45 - Realizing as I watch for the first time, that the dots at the bottom of each cog are probably to line up the cogs in the correct orientation. So if the code is ALPH like he was thinking, then each letter should correspond to that mark on the lid.

That puzzle box was sooo far beyond awesome. Crazy goddamn cool!! I can't help but think that maybe the brad/screw/pin.. whatever it is in the center of the bottom of the inside of the opened box, can be removed and reveal another (obviously much thinner) open layer beneath it, in which there lies your kudos for solving the puzzle. Maybe it was so obviously the real bottom that it wasn't even worth a thought, which Chris, having been the only one to handle the thing and examine every aspect of it, could've determined. Still though.... I'm hoping not to lose any sleep obsessing about it, and I probably won't... but damn it. I want to have a look at the bottom of that goddamn box!!! Chris!! Will you please post some kind of a follow-up saying "It's nothing, I checked the bottom" or something of that nature for those of us who need closure with this one? I'm not the only one thinking this, am I?
the letters under the 3rd shelf are probably related to how the cogs had to be aligned while the word alpha was just spelled out in the area as a red herring or a design choice
I had an idea for you too create your own puzzle that incorporates a magic trick to solve. Since a lot of magic props are created by the magician to look like ordinary items while having a secret function to pull off the illusion, I think it would be cool to have that hidden function as a solution to a puzzle. Not only would the person get the satisfaction of solving a puzzle, they get to learn a magic trick they could use on other people. I'm not sure if something like that exist but I think combining your magic with puzzles would be very popular.
When the magnets are put on the numbers in which you add the two digits to get the code for the knobs...An advanced design idea is to make the positive attractive magnets an add digits together solution and the negative magnets a subtract digits solution as the magnets tried on the back of the box revealed different poles (+/-) on the end of the little plastic pawn knobs.
What I like most about this gut is that it produces quality. He does such a dqmn good job on what he chooses to do how he does it.the editing the he speaks qnd things he speaks about. Idk just a cool guy
I think E B F G were the alignment you were supposed to place the cogs on the top in . The layout matches the cog posts on top, and the letters E B F G are probably supposed to be pointing to the markers.
Brilliant puzzle, so fun to watch you solve it, one of my faves so far. Did wonder if the magnet could be used to remove the bottom or sides. There could be so much more to this, eg when you open the top there's a whole new puzzle inside 😄

Such a great hand-crafted puzzle box, and yet no little reward when you final solve it. Cheaped out on the landing.
Welcome to the real life edition of "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes". Except that you are talking to your self and there is no bomb.
8:10 “THE NUMBERS, MASON! WHAT DO THEY MEAN?!” Just binge watching all these puzzles since I rediscovered this channel lol
Chris! When you had the box open, did you try using the big magnet on the metal plug in the bottom wooden plate?!
I thought the same, don't think the puzzle is done!!
Me to i think there is a hidden compartment in the bottom
Like the play over of your rehearsing the number sequences... could listen again and again. Great fun, which you are masterful at...a "beautiful mind!"
Gotta admit, the sponsorship looks fun
But hot dang! This puzzle box is incredible and definitely deserves the name “Impossible”
I have a feeling that you skipped a number of steps by trying out all those letter combinations, lighting up the leds, and ultimately giving you the key. Looks like there are still a few small drawers around the sides, and also a trap door under the main box. But in any case, you did solve it, and it was fun to watch! Oh, and lol, that missing leg making it not standing stable hit a nerve with me :)
A moment of silence for Chris’s excitement when the box revealed no hidden surprise 🥴
20:45 - Realizing as I watch for the first time, that the dots at the bottom of each cog are probably to line up the cogs in the correct orientation. So if the code is ALPH like he was thinking, then each letter should correspond to that mark on the lid.
who also could not handle the box tilting because he did not screw back the fourth leg ?
And that's the way you do an enjoyable sponsored ad! 😎
I looked so crazy pointing at the TV and say I KNOW HIM!!! IM ONE OF HIS SUBSCRIBERS!!!! I LOVE HIM!!!!….then my wife goes you don’t really know him -_-. And I look at her like YES…I…DO. His name is Chris Ramsey watch……seee…magic!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've been watching you for years and just realized you're Canadian. Awesome!
there was a magnet at the bottom of the puzzle that could lead to a prize
Yes hope chis try that
Agree. It was a good balance of electronic and classic puzzle.
It's weird that this sounds like a voice over recording.
Really the people who makes the puzzles like this one like lit genius seriously!..
Why do i feel so let down that there wasn't cards inside
This is definitely one of the most fun ones to watch.
Fan Tas Tic puzzle! seriously i enjoyed watching and probably i love to solve something like this!
i believe the code on the bottom of that drawer was the calibration letters for the cog wheel
I love to watch these videos and they are so calming
Awesome 😍😍 That's why i love box puzzle..You do a great job👏👏👏
Brilliant puzzle, so fun to watch you solve it, one of my faves so far. Did wonder if the magnet could be used to remove the bottom or sides. There could be so much more to this, eg when you open the top there's a whole new puzzle inside 😄
I really liked this one a lot. I like the electronic aspect of it. It kind of reminds me of an old vintage radio, or maybe even an electronic instrument of some sort.
It always feel like opening a gift when watching these videos.
