Here's my honest opinion about this tablet. On my 14th birthday, I received the Samsung Galaxy TabA - Tablet as a gift from my parents. Now, the packaging is amazing! No scratch marks, smudges, hair or anything. The Tablet has amazing graphics and the speed is unbelievable for something like this. If you're an Apple user but want to try something new, I'd definitely recommend this tablet if it isn't a phone, laptop, or computer you're looking for. I'd rate this 9.8/10 stars only because normally when I swipe up to bring up the Home, Tabs, and Back Icons, it takes about 2-4 swipes. However, that may be a problem with my tablet that I should fix and I don't believe it will occur on every version of the Samsung Galaxy TabA- Tablet.
just bought this tablet 10.1 32gb model to my daughter for her first tablet. Also bought a sandisk ultra 128gb micro sd card, some panzer® premium tempered glass and a kids cover case to go with the new tablet.
I got the 128gb version of this with 3gb RAM. I'm new to tablets but I like this one. No hesitation on videos and plenty of stuff to keep you interested. The WiFi works well throughout my house and even outside a little distance. Installed a 512gb micro SD card also, so plenty of storage for photos and movies. The price is right too.

Thanks for the video. I bought a 32GB version of the 8.0" about 6 weeks ago based on specifications on a few retail web sites. I can't recommend it to anyone other than someone buying for their kids maybe. You need to be warned that most web sites have incorrect information in the specifications. Most show this tablet as having 3GB RAM. Some also show the camera to be better than it really is. And you can't rely on the back of the product box as Samsung has almost no useable information on the box. No info on the processor version; no info on the amount of RAM. Why?? The 'About' section in the tablet's Settings also only gives info about the Android version - it's as if Samsung is trying to hide the hardware specs as they know they are insufficient (at least in the 32GB model) for most of the purposes they sell the tablet as being perfect to do. The 32GB version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2019) only has 2GB RAM and a micro USB port. It's like they took remaining old stock and changed the camera and back of the case and put 2019 on the box. It is really slow and doesn't even begin to compete favourably with an old Dell 8" Venue Pro that I have that manages to run Windows in a snappy fashion on an Intel Atom processor. Frankly, this Tab A 8.0" (2019) with 2GB RAM struggles to be on par with an Android phone that is 4 years old. If you have an Android phone that is 3 years old or newer and you want/expect at least that level of performance for your new tablet (even though your phone may not have been a flagship level model) then you should only consider the 3GB RAM versions of this tablet. They are the only truly updated models. I found the 32GB 8" supremely disappointing. It is slow even for a budget tablet. Just being honest.
Thanks for this detailed review. Had to give it a thumbs up. Contemplating buying it and my decision criterium is if it has a sim card slot which seems unclear to me. Does it have a slot for a sim card (probably a nano sim)? I know it has an SD card slot. But is there a separate space for a sim card or can a sim card (probably nano) be placed in the SD card space?
I bought my Galaxy Tab A early this December at Best Buy for $129. It was a major upgrade from my Lenovo Tab 3 8. I use audio production apps like Caustic and G-Stomper, and the playback is amazing, even when synched to my Bluetooth speaker. The battery life is impressive, and the UA-cam playback is smooth. As for gaming, I play Pac-Man Championship Edition and Smash Hit, and the gameplay on both games handles well. In fact, I even broke my personal best on Smash Hit. Samsung has been a reliable brand when it comes to tablets, and this version of the Galaxy Tab A is proof.

Does it have a slot for a sim card (probably a nano sim)? I know it has an SD card slot. But is there a separate space for a sim card or can a sim card (probably nano) be placed in the SD card space?
My grandma has this device. Would I be able to video call my grandma from my iPhone?
If she has whatsapp installed in here, then yes, it is possible to vid call :D
