If you have this tablet, I pray you never update to Android 10. Just stick with 9. It's slow on 10 and even slower on 11. I made the grave mistake of updating to 10 and thought it would get better as they update it. Well, it never got better and now I have no way of going back to Android 9.
Bought this in 2017 and still going strong! Use it to read books, do my taxes, watch videos and cruise the web. Very practical to carry in my purse to the dr. I'm gonna cy when it finally dies.
I bought this thing in the 3/64gb model back in summer 2019 and it has definitely served me well for the purposes I bought it for in 2019. Thousands of hours running summoners war (which was it's primary use for a good year and a half) and several hundred reading manga. It has definitely aged and the 64gb of storage it has feels nothing short of suffocating. Considering it's a cheap tablet that can still do less resource intensive tasks, it was well worth the purchase on account of how much I've used it. It may not be able to run newer games all to well, as well as large games being nearly impossible on the amount of storage it has. Even then, the tablet was a worthwhile purchase for me. I can't for the life of me understand why anybody thought the 2/32gb version was a good idea in 2019.
The 2/32 was great for me. It was basically a secondary device along with my phone. It's getting extremely slow though. After using it, I like to go back to my 12/256 phone. It's so refreshing with the performance increase.
@@JordanRichardson9Same here, bought this thing back in 2019. It was my first ever tablet, started off really old with the performance and all that stuff. Still I use this tablet 2/32gb as my parents didn't buy me the 3 gb ram version. Games do lag a bit, with the fps drops etc. But after rooting and installing a custom rom for this device, it bumps up the performance a bit.
@@ahandsomeduck8506 Yeah I would root it but all my stuff is on there. I seem to have left it somewhere in the house and can't find it. Surprisingly can run some games but can't run UA-cam.
I’ve had this tablet for almost 2 years now, I barely use the thing and it has maybe 8 or so apps installed with about 30 photos and for some reason, it is incredibly slow. It takes so long just to open or close apps. And it’s really annoying considering I use it so little
I bought this when it first came out i paid 449 for the 3GB 128GB pretty good tablet still Yes no android 12 but security updates for the next 2 years is fine with me .
@@Angel_Peg When it first came out it was 449 for the 3 GB of ram and 128 of storage you pay more for the better one i have never had any problems but my friends have the 2GB and 32 of storage and they say its so slow. the 449 price was at the time when it first came out in 2019 but now u can get it for around 200 bucks.

@Phil Adelphian , Yes still used it in 2023. I watch movies, youtube videos. If it ain't broke don't fix it. The only thing is I can't watch a UA-cam video that is more than 1080p if it is higher than that it stutters. That's the only thing that is wrong with it. I still got an Asus tablet that I bought in 2019 before I got Samsung has a better inside 4gb the screen is much better, etc. But the reason why I stop using it was a 9.7 screen and watching movies and TV doesn't look great on it. So that's why I got this tablet. Another thing Asus doesn't update their firmware like Samsung. I'm still getting a security patch from Samsung. So this is the 4th tablet I ever own. The first tablet was Asus 10. I bought it a long time ago so can't remember, then Asus 7 inch, then Asus 9.7 inch. Now this Samsung tablet. Asus is a great tablet but they suck on update patches. I also had a cell phone from Asus but then I had to get a Samsung A42 phone last year.
I got this back in 2020, and I didn`t use it so much back then bcs I was using my phone and laptop. I gave it to my mother and she use it for netflix, yt and browsing. But now, is back to me and, beside this I have a S6 lite for planning, 2022 and an A9 8gb ram version for games. The A tab now I use it as a desktop screen, music device, and info device. Bcs of the low specs theres not much to do and is great that way.
I love this tablet, I prefer the duel bottom speakers, where i can easily cover them if needed, headphone jack is a great option. I prefer the camera at the top, then on the side. Sadly the 3gb option is becoming outdated. The 2gb option would have never been good enough for me. The ppi (pixel density) is better then most tablets out there. Colors are good enough. Watching movies playing small games. This tablet will always be my favorite budget tablet. I bought an s8 and returned it cause the colors were not popping as much as this tablet. I wuld buy a 4gb version of this tablet with better processor for 2024. And a 2.1 hdmi to attach to monitor. Too bad we cant custom make our samsung tablets! Sad to see this tablet go!
I bought this Tab A with 3GB RAM and 128GB Storage for $200, and it's Not Worth Buying in 2022. After only 1 and a half years of use, the Android 11 Update cut the performance by half. For the Tab A's original $300 Price, you can now get the IPad 9th Gen for only $30+ more and the IPad is better in every way compared to Samsungs Tab A and Mid-Range S line
I got the 2GB RAM 32GB storage model in 2020. If I try to have 2 apps open and one of them is playing audio, the app will crash. It's slow and almost unusable now.
Tip if u own a tablet or ipad DONT INSTALL TONS OF GAMES cause on my old one i installed to many games and iT was like one year old and it got messed up and we wiped it and it worked okay for like 1 day then it started acting up again and it said when i tried to install games and it said that i could not install the games that i wanted and we had to get me a new tablet
I bought one of these when they came out and it's been an excellent tablet although for the last 12 months I keep getting 2 x the letter w and the number 2 every time I tap them which is annoying. I have tried downloading a different keyboard but it still plays up.
I still have this in 2023. Basically it is used for reading the news, occasionally a book and Google searches at tye breakfast table. It hasn't gotten an update in years. I can't imagine playing a game on this because it isn't quick. I want it to die so I can get an upgrade for HUNDREDS of dollars more (??!!!) 🤯😯🤔 Or not. I keep dropping it and my wife justs laughs because she thinks I'm trying to break it. Nope, just clumsy.
Maybe a silly question, but is the end of OS updates kinda the end of the tabley's usefulness? Like if I just used Android 11 on this for the next 3 years, is that viable?
Im on the 32gb/2gb it works horribly in 2023 I can't have 8 games/apps without it destroying my storage and my ram I annoying outdated no support for optimization
I have this tablet in the 32G version and just recently have run out of space with problems. I have 2 games on, both space hogs as well as photos & PDF documents. I'm rather clueless about it, lol. I just ordered a 128 G card for it. Fingers crossed that moving stuff there will help become zippy again.
At least they don't reduce your device's performance DELIBERATELY - or your battery, as soon as a new model is introduced. SOME marketers (not MAKERS), starting with A, do this and are in and out of court for it. One class action after another :(

I have been using this tablet since June 12th 2020. after 1and half year, the display started to come off and it came off eventually. we tried to fix it but it didn't. the lcd panel also got loose and when we gave it to the guys in Samsung, the told that the screen is not working(actually it did not work) and for the display replacement they asked 7000 rupees ($85ish). It worked fine for 6 months and again, the display started to come off, and now the battery life is also not good.
