Not gonna lie, if this is the future of BMW’s design direction I would be alright with that. It looks MUCH MUCH MUCH than the butt imprinted front ends of most BMWs today.

Looks like a saved remnant from a World Fair event or Disneyland. I love the corduroy look of the seats. But, is there going to be an included set of little astronauts playing golf for the green expanse in front. I do feel that the changes to the front nose makes it seem like the Dodge Challenger I currently drive.
you cannot say it looks like the others. which is what we want. very cool. production model will probably have some mods to this version.
Zipse told Autocar UK that this concept does NOT directly preview a specific production model e.g. 3 series. quote: "The first is set to be a striking 3 Series-sized saloon, a direct rival for the likes of the Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai Ioniq 6 - and while BMW bosses said this new Vision Neue Klasse concept doesn’t directly preview a production car, it’s understood that it gives strong clues about what to expect from this pioneering EV."

Not perfect, but definitely am improvement over their current lineup.
Exterior looks like a Lincoln MKS or Zephyr or whatever Lincoln used to call those last sedans they used to build.
The rear profile looks like an old Chevy cavalier the front end looks like the Pontiac Sunfire of the same vintage
I got some Saab, polestar and Renault vibes from it myself. Doesn't look like any BMW I've ever seen though.
Maybe that's the point? A split to really stylistically differentiate the ev line's vs ICE. 🤔
There is a bit of similarity in the taillights and grille!

So I have to say Neue Klasse? 🧐🤨Less panels more cost. You would have to pay for one whole unit instead of small quarter panels that may cost less the $100.

If you need to have a kidney grill, this is better than the direction they have been going. ( Sunglasses look is better than snarling bat.) I like the ultra wide display up near the windshield. This fabric dash that is also in the mini cars is okay when new but the amount of dirt i wipe of from my dash monthly living in a congested city is going to have that dash prettty grungy within a few yrs.
This looks like something from Max Wolff (Lincoln designer from 2009-2014) that almost killed Lincoln.
The back looks like a 2009 MKZ, and the front looks like a 2014 MKS. Absolutely crap.

Yeah a lot of BMW’s models still have classic looks that stand well against time’s progression. But with the modern BMW’s it just seems like they lost their way. That or I aged out of the demographic they are marketing to.. at 44.
Their designers doubled volume this century in segments they didn't even compete in last century, Spartanburg has been largest American exporter of vehicles for last 8 years running, if trolls ran BMW there'd be no BMW to run.
@1:08 Absolutely makes that M2 look immediately dated. If you could get this in two years why even get a current ICE BMW. It would be left in the dust in two years time.
Honda E looks similar but much better. This BMW looks like an old Soviet Union car
To me it just looks cheap in the interior. For me it’s not a place I would want to be in, these Electric Car designs scream out plan obsolescence like they did to cell phones. Seeing things like Mercedes Benz did were you can open the hood. The fact that it had so much tech that will become dated quickly. Normally I am all for change to make things better. But the fact is there are so many unknowns with electric vehicles like road taxation laws not in place yet, poor infrastructure that’s unreliable for long road trips, standardizing charging ports and will the battery technology get better. Not to mention the price of these vehicles… All that makes me want to hold off on buying one until these things get worked out better.

One thing I dont get anymore about EV's and full glass roofs is:
1) Yes, from the weight savings vs electric range ratio, less weight less energy used, there is an advantage.
2) a) Structural integrity by not having aluminum or steel roof, is compromised. B) On rising temperatures, the glass roof creates a biospheric environment in the interior of the car, hence uses more energy to cool or earm up in cold environments in the winter. (My EV uses a sunshade but still on 95+ degrees days it doesn't help).
So where are fhe energy/battery range savings? Math and physics are the only 2 reliable sciences. 1+1 is always going to be 2. Never 2.5 of infinity or 1.75.
This iteration of the certical bmw kidney is HORRIBLE. Looks like the initial Chinese designs if yesteryears.
The drivers distraction started 10-15 years ago with the navs that used dials or rotary nabs. Now everything goes on a tablet and reflected on the windshield. How much more distractions will we get before we kill outselves driving? Driving used to be fun, muscle cars, off road, even the first lexuses, i loved my first Rx300 and Gs300 (not now). My Lord,the direction car design is taking, is not even futuristic (Jetsons....lol). Its a disaster.

What a joke. As much grief as Tesla gets for not releasing cars they show fast enough, at least when they do, they release production cars that are pretty much the prototypes shown. This car will never see the light of day, we will never see anything in a showroom that can be immediately connected to this dream. Legacy car makes need to start producing and stop this concept car nonsense.

I love BMW, but here's a tip......perhaps stop trying to integrate your logo into the actual body of the car? Imagine if Mercedes tried to build the tri-star into the front of the car like it's a functional element. It failed......LET GO!
We pay hefty fines for just touching our smart phones while driving, yet all the new EV concepts are just glorified video games in disguise. You flick around on a touch screen and basically play rather than focusing on the traffic ahead of you? Seriously...
