Rule #1. NEVER trust a folder, regardless of having a lock or not. Rule #2. Never misuse a knife. This one is designed to slice, not be forced sideways and jammed close simultaneously. Bushcrafting is best done with a sturdy fixed blade knife. I LOLed at the Gumby comment, by the way. Take care.
It is not just this model, it is present on my D04 too. I've seen other youtubers mentioning same issue, in fact some people have filled that weak liner lock to pass through 'legal' issues of locking blade, as it is quite misleading in itself if you trust that lock too much.
