I was born and raised here and only lived away for 11 years. I clicked on this because I wanted to see what you thought about living here. The reasons you don't like it are only weather related which aren't that big a deal since we don't have a bad winter here at all. The reasons you like it are all that I agree with. It is a great small city and does have a lot to offer. You spelled them out very well. I live out by Skiatook Lake now since '95 ( you forgot to mention all the lakes close at hand for Summer water fun) and love living in the country. I have to agree that Tulsa is a great place to settle. Great video.
Thank you. Your right, I didn't mention all the lakes which is another thing I truly love about the area. I might need to do a video going over all the lake options. Thanks for commenting.
I lived in Tulsa 30 years ago and plan to move back. No realtors talk about rentals, though. I know many realtors manage rentals. I don't want to buy sight unseen. Not even sure if I want to buy at all. Do you represent any rentals? If so, it'd be prudent to talk about rents and neighborhoods. Good video, though. You reminded me that there are a lot of beautiful ladies in OK.
Thank you. I don't represent rentals, but I have a great contact who does. Thank you for the idea for the video topic. I can understand people wanting to know more.
I came here because i've watched Tulsa king tv series, and i would love to experience living in tulsa maybe because its my dream to go in USA someday 😁
Tulsa is a great place! I don't think Tulsa King accurately depicts Tulsa. There are many parts of Tulsa King that are actually filmed in Oklahoma City.
I could hear your dog in the background chewing on his bone 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Btw Oklahoma is one awesome state. I lived there in 86 I was a Sophomore at Lawton High and wow I met quite a bit of good friends there. Always friendly as well. From Hawai'i to Oklahoma was a big culture change but, I figured things out quick. Do's and don'ts. My parent joined the Army that is how I got to Oklahoma. Again great state. I live in Oregon and it is a beautiful state however the politics in this state is killing the good vibes here. Crime gone up ever since the Dems defunded the police. DON'T defund your police!
I know! She sounds so loud because of the mic! 🤦♀️ Oh wow, that must have been a huge culture change! I have never been to Oregon, but I know it is a beautiful state. I hope to make it out there one day. Oklahoma is a great state. It has changed quite a bit since you have been here. I bet you would love visiting the Tulsa area.
@@livingintulsaoklahoma Anything out side of Portland is great... Inside of Portland not so great crowded with homeless pretty much everywhere and crime spike up all time high. Can't wait to visit Tulsa in the nearest future.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU LIVED IN TULSA??...I DONT LIVE THERE IN TULSA AREA OR OKLAHOMA ANYMORE BUT TORNADOES CAN AND OFTEN DO HIT ANYTIME OF YEAR,ALTHOUGH PEAK MONTHS ARE APRIL THROUGH JUNE!.. I HAVE EVEN SEEN TORNADOES IN DECEMBER NOT LONG BEFORE CHRISTMAS!...P.S. PARTS OF OKLAHOMA SUFFERED SEVERE DAMAGE LAST NIGHT,INCLUDING AREA TOWNS JUST EAST OF TULSA!..
Until I started traveling more I didn't realize how much of a difference there was with the bugs between some areas. Definitely not a deal breaker, but the mosquitoes are annoying!
@@livingintulsaoklahoma I appreciate knowing the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm in California and things are getting outrageous price wise and safety-wise it's pretty challenging too.
ts too cold sometimes in the winter, and multiple posionous snakes and massive crime, and most churches are low quality, and alot of drugs, alot of pretentiousness by the middle class, and alot of chavenism, and people dont know how to have relationships, and the jail are bad with few guard workers and old badly designed jails even the chief of police complains about to the state government
Lol you lying about the Food Here tho lmao I’m from Detroit and compared to a Coney Island off 7 mile lol y’all got some work to do other than that I’m pulling up at my Mamas house for BBQ
Having moved from New Jersey to Tulsa I have to disagree about your take on "Great Food" in Tulsa. Tulsa bagels, pizza and ethnic food options suck! I really miss mom & pop delicatessens restaurants and sub shops. All you have here are chains. Sorry, but I would put food in the HATE column.
Have you tried Andolini's, Minuteman, or Bohemian Pizza? Those are so so good! What about Sisserous? Their Caribbean food is so so good! I don't know of a sub shop...Bill & Ruths in Glenpool (yes a chain, but their ham & cheese sub, and gyros are really great)
Having lived in Jersey and Tulsa, I'd say that pizza is better anywhere than NJ/NY, but you're right about delis and sub shops. Don't forget the diners in Jersey. Tulsa is pretty darned nice though.

I moved here from Detroit.. This February showed me how well people in Tulsa drive in snow....
I always try to stay off the roads when it’s snowing!!
Lol I’m from the D too and man they can’t drive for shit in the snow here
Con - Humidity ; Pro - Affordability. Sabrina was our realtor and she is awesome.
Good video. Missing LAKES. Huge advantage of living in the Tulsa area.
True. Lake life is pretty great here!
Dusting of snow? I've had 16 inches on more than 1a few occasions.
Very helpful video for considering Tulsa. Thanks for this and the cost of living video. Well done.
Thank you so much!
I was born & raised in TULSA and it's a WONDERFUL AREA & BEAUTIFUL too.

Absolutely, Tulsa is a great place!
You forgot the center of the universe ; )
There are so many great things to mention!
If u don't leave around 71st to jenks or broken arrow or even owasso they see the rest of Tulsa as poor
I miss the traffic (or lack thereof lol)
Isn’t Guthrie Green gone or did I drive by a misplaced high rise?
Lol, it is still there. They have great events. Movies on the lawn, yoga, bands.
nice video, but what was that annoying noise in the background?!
Sorry the noise was my dogs. I am putting them up when I record from now on 🐶🐾

Yes, our roads need some work.

Oklahoma's roads are horrible and the food at restaurants is below average and people are rude😂
