I want one to commute to work and take a nap in at lunch lol
Take a shot everytime Roman says yep.
Dan is the man! That van is beast... especially in person!
I just looked at the IGLhaut USA website and I'm shocked at how little there is to see. also, the gallery is tiny and the photos low definition...
nothing, it would seem, about the adventure kit?
Do you have video for the other van bunions you? Interested in the sprinter pop up. Look like that van is a high roof. Wander how the pop up works.
Thanks a lot.
That thing is badass.
Thats a cool van
Take a look at Oberainger they convert Sprinters to 4x4. They are also authorised by MB and their conversion doesn't invalidate your warranty.
I enquired about converting my LWB 4.5tonne Renault Master and I was quoted 14,000 Euro which came out around £12,000 sadly I haven't had this done yet!
37s? Whoa! Cool van, but personally, I think the regular 4x4 would serve me just fine. I'd rather put the budget towards interior amenities. However, if your budget is big enough, now you really can have it all.
Woah, I Dit not know, that Igelhaut works also for the US-Market! Cool, the quality from the Germans is the best you can get! greatings from switzerland 😀👍
That price is insane!
Nice exterior fitout. Uninspiring interior; need to upgrade for that price tag.
10 seconds into the video, I knew I would see comments in shock at the price. Didn't even have to hear the price to know that.
Why is it when a guest appears on videos, in general, and they give out their web sites in an unclear manner, the host of said video does not list it in the "description below" area. FFT
Do they only convert new vans? The website isn’t clear on that one.
disappointed that we havn't been shown the conversion of this van into a regular RV though.
Review the AEV Ram with the four wheel camper
The roof of my mid-height Transit van with 32" tires and no roof rack gets beat up enough trying to navigate some back roads - this thing is a foot taller... I bought the Ford cuz there are many dealerships - Merc not so much - Merc with aftermarket parts - Good luck!
how much for transfer case lock? Where can buy it?
As capable as a wrangler and as expensive as 2 decked out rubicons
Valid comment ... so can it fit more people than 2 decked out rubicons? Or would a party of 8-9 people be better off in 2 decked out rubicons with tent roofs etc.
What is the value of a van interior sleeping mattress vs a rooftop tent? Warmer more weather proof etc?
If you have multiple mtb’s to carry to remote trails and lines in spring through fall and a timber sled and multiple sets of touring gear in the winter this van is far more utilitarian than a wrangler. It’s great to sleep inside when it’s 3 degrees outside and be able to dry your boots and snow gear.
Wranglers excel and driving for drivings sake while this vans purpose is to reliably get you to to the point where the real adventure starts
Slingsomelead Sleepin in a Rubicon isn’t nearly as fun..... I know.
$$$
Nice
Are the diff lock buttons mounted crooked?
You can get an equally capable ford sportsmobile done in the US for half the price and delivery time.
Who makes the front brush guard?
Would love a Metris built like this
I guess I would have to back to work at Miki Dees to save up to get one. I guess there are a lot of rich people out there. I wonder if they would convert my 2000 Mercedes SLK 230.
NIce and all, but $135,000, 37", 3 locking diffs....NO off road shots!?!?!?!?
Ayy just like all these dorks who have a spot at the overlanding expo
I would prefer Iveco Daily 4x4 that comes in stock from a factory with 3 dif locks, skidplates, huge wheels, truck bed and costs in Europe from 63k Euro
And in addition, Iveco has 2 solid axels
Have you seen the relatively new Iveco 4x4 LWB Daily style van in Australia? I cant recall if it has the 3 diff locks tho. It's looks very utilitarian for 4x4 Dually Van ... it looks great :)
Iveco Daily 4x4 Minibus. It also has 3 diff locks standard, a double low range transfer case, solid axles. It's pretty impressive and more comparable to this sprinter van.
I’ve seen a Sprinter in Iceland that makes these look like little toys. It was probably an Arctic Trucks treatment.
And it's a little toy. Because 37" don't give any extra "off-road power" - so it's a total waste. Staying with stock 4x4 and almost stock 31-33" tires will do the same. Or go to Arctic truck edition :) But then you have to go to Arctic or Antarctica to utilize it fully. Or Iceland.
it’s very cool. But the price is way too high! You can get a pair of dynatrac 60 axles under a Ford van. Even with a diesel Cummings conversion. it would still be cheaper and more capable.
Yes, but this Benz will be 10 times more reliable. If you want to go around the world you should by this one;)
I guess you’re not familiar with a Cummins diesel motor. It can go over 1,000,000 miles if you take care of it.
@@alfeigo no
Why not actually test one offroad (on the Rubicon Trail or whatever)?
Sweet van, would love to have this as an overlanding rig, these Sprinters are probably the most reliable vehicle Mercedes makes.
Holy shit that's hilarious! I laughed. You have no idea how horrendously unreliable these things are.
No fella, I am aware, it is still the most reliable vehicle Mercedes makes, still more reliable than a Ram Promaster for that matter.
@@josephwhiskeybeale RAM is Fiat, not MB
Tobias Buren the Earth is a sphere 🌏 not flat.
I DIG IT!
Nice NIKE blouse BTW. New sponsor? Haha
I'm done with Nike.
@@gregormiller4037
Aw, look. A little triggered CONservative crying those big snowflake tears over something that doesn't directly affect them. Lol
@@Sig721Tau ...Yes, with tears of joy. I started CC in the 70's with the waffle trainers, still have the pair. Probably worth more than your net worth. I feel betrayed
by Knight, he's just another shallow FK putz like you. And I know you still love me...I will load in you next time.
Specs on wheels and tires please
How do you great guys (IGHAUT) do that really short body. I like it. Very 911 eske. How do you spell that last word? Danke
Super cool machine but can't imagine that people would be willing to fork over so much money to have a simple 4X4 capable van.
Dream Car
Needs portal axles
Question guys.. is a Tundra comparably equipped as capable as a Tacoma?
That's an awful lot of money and time, and you still have an empty van!
As capable as a wrangler is just not true. I have some beach front property in hell too, that's how true that statement is.
Of course it's true, it just depends on how it's measured. This van is much more capable than a Wrangler in a lot of ways...Wrangler is more capable in others. Depends on what's important to you.
@@NukePooch1 that van is a rollover waiting to happen. Only thing that piece of crap is good for is saying you have one. Good on flat only. Take the stock wrangler and walk all over that fat turd. Doesn't matter what you use it for. Wrangler wins easily
@@DirtRoadBoyz2 But they just mean power train capabilities, that guy even says it, it has great crossing capabilities, no rock crawler nor desert runner. So for what it is, it's very good at not getting stuck
If you see them in the Alps you know its true.
But the price is not worth it in my opinion.
💯💪🏾
"As capable as a wrangler"
That's like saying the top heavy Kool-Aid man is as agile as an NFL player.
HO-LY COW! That thing is amazing! Oh, to have a spare $135,000 laying around. Well, I can dream, at least. What an awesome mobile man-cave!
Then my friend you have too much money. This is way over priced.
Buy used for 60k
The metris would be the interesting thing. Smaller, less expensive
......shame they didn't start it up........to see the 'fire-eating dragon' effect.......:(
You heard what he said. He would prefer to have a mattress in the back with the 4x4. So just buy a ford ranger or any other 4x4 and get a baroud RTT on it and save yourself 100 K!!
I would love a rig like this. without alot of the outside bling.
I just wish that 4WD was offered in the Ram ProMaster City or the Ford Transit Connect. I would love a compact, 4WD van that I could outfit to be a one person camping/overlanding rig for a modest budget. Of course, Toyota could also take a hint and build the FT-4X with foldable seats. Either works.
You can convert a Ford transit to 4wd via Quigley for under 14K. It would be a whole lot cheaper to maintain and repair than a Mercedes.
@@jobe8764 Nah, Transit's too big. I don't want a full size van. I would want a compact van that I don't have to worry about parking or fitting places.
Take a look at Oberainger in Germany
Not going to see that on the Rubicon or even a minor 4x4 trail ever.
Not as capable as a Wrangler, but I'm guessing you only said that to get more people to watch.
You are sadly wrong. If you compare this Iglhaut with an original Wrangler Unlimited/four door the Sprinter is better off and on road. But it cost twice the Wrangler rubicon in Germany.
I don't like the Iglhaut because the price and it is only a Sprinter.
Oh...i don't like Mercedes at all. But they are good.
@@tobiasburen8340 as far as offroad capability, the Rubicon wins in every category hands down. No comparison!
It's not nearly as capable as a wrangler. It's heavy, it'll sink, it'd tip under certain angles. It's to big for most trails... But go on.
down by the river
auto cuby creates custom sprinters for passenger transport and they have done away with the sliding door and added a pneumatic-powered door on the side of the passenger seat, as seen on coaches.
one massive advantage is that the space normally taken by the sliding door is RECLAIMED!!! that means you can get yourself a nice galley there :).
See an auto cuby customised sprinter here: ua-cam.com/video/gQVAL39ymKI/v-deo.html, along with the coach-style pneumatic door on the passenger seat side (towards end of video).
I'll pass on the jumbo wheels though.
Thanks for taking this van to the masses! Would love to see it in person
that price is stupid think i will keep my 89 Dodge B150 pathfinder that i paid $166 bucks for LOL [ got the deal done at 2AM 34 bucks was all the change the guy had he wants 150 and all i had was C-notes ]
A Sportsmobile with a UJoint off road conversion on a ford Econoline chassis is more useable then that unstable at ground level or rollover hazard at lifted 37" tires for $135,000.
Sportsmobile has taken their vans to Moab and Baja as well as Death Valley As.
Nice rig. That Patagonia down/faux down jacket aint water proof, get some Gore-Tex, your life will be happier above 6500+ ft.
Ok, thats cool. BUT! It would be cooler if it had portal hubs. If money was no object of course.
So 130 grand or.. 35 for a basic pickup then 37 for a camper for the back and your at 72 grand. Kind of hard to justify the price when you could have a truck and camper rolling down the road and that's before you outfit the van.
$140k? same cost as a gently used Unimog- but this aint no unimog ?
Just get a square body suburban n rebuild it n beef it up, way cheaper n parts gonna be whole lot easier to find, and heck can actually work in it yourself. If anyone does that anymore.....
From what is on display here, you would do better to get a Winnebago Revel. And the Revel would be cheaper.
For that money I will buy a Brand New Power Wagon and put a Hallmark camper on it.
Mmm... I think I'd rather have a Ford Transit.
But, but what about the Lexani?
These people speaks about money as it means nothing? Wonder who would spend $135.000 to sleep in his “adventure kit”? Insanity!
I'd rather have a motor home towing a Jeep than this overpriced contraption.
Sooo dream sprinter buy a Winnebago Revel and send it to Iglhaut for a conversion...I’ll get back to you when I win the lottery. 👍
He mentions acceleration and on road capability but he doesn't say anything about fuel consumption
I guess you missed the part where he stated he gets 14 mpg on the interstate.
Wow all this for only $200000!!! What a bargain 😳. One more reason I think another crash is coming.
i could buy that...id have to do a thirty year payment plan though
Exactly. Either the price of homes or the price of vehicles are out of control.
They could at least put the buttons in a straight line...
You see the frame rusting already 0:33
Surface rust I have a 15 year old civic with less rust driving on salted winter roads. Just hose the bottom off every now and agian
Van'a already old plus it's just surface rust
What’s a metros?
A Metris is a Mercedes van, that is smaller than the Sprinter.
Ryan rkj aaaah. That’s called the Vito over here lol
Quality control and experience? What you think we can't do that here in good ole MERICA? we put a man on the moon.
did you know that we put an American man on the moon but the scientist behind all that was German?
He‘s talking bullshit. I from Germany and I worked for Iglhaut in 2004 and the only reason why they do it in Germany is that they have their upgrade garage, tools and mechanics here.
Check out our quality control and experience rust all over the bottom of the van.
So when did the police show up and tow them all off since they are parked in handicap and fire zones?
HOW MUCH!!!!!!!
"it looks very good offroad, have you taken it offroad" .... .VERY LONG PAUSE, bs answer... aka NOPE never been offroad but let me tell you it is very good offroad.
and for $200k you to can have one in 3-5 years after you buy the stock van.
As capable as a Wrangler?.....ya no...
As he said already its not a rock crawler or a baja truck. Man are u even listening
@@tigbak18salas61 Did you read the title?
Send it to SPORTSMOBILE in Fresno, Ca. And get a better 4 wheel drive transfer case for less than what it’ll cost you to ship it to GERMANY.
For $140,000.00 you’d get a decked out sports mobile with an ATLAS II transfer case that will definitely outperform that basic transfer case he’s trying to sell you. He’s so full of shit by saying he’d rather have a mattress and go without the extra comfort features. He’s selling snake oil.
As you can see, there was no actual driving involved to see which vehicle could outperform the other.
And he tries to confuse you by saying it’s a 3 way locker. It’s only an electronic locker, you’d hope. It could be an air locker which is less reliable.
Love those Hella fog lamps. MB Sprinter is garbage. My work vehicle is.one. Those vans are.trash.
Curious to know in what way they are trash?
Dean Kruse in the way that he can’t afford them
6 months and you have to pay to ship it to Germany, would make more sense just to buy one already in Germany, and not pay this 3rd party guy for work he is not even doing.
the shipping cost will be your least worry .... LOL
The stock Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 system is terrible!!! I owed one from 2016 tell October of this year and finally had enough. It was almost useless. Half the time you would swear it wasn't working, getting it to engage was a pain in the ass. Im looking forward to my 2020 Transit AWD. Also in the video he asks if the Van is the tall roof or regular. They guy says its regular but its clearly the tall roof
But you can't compare a stock 4x4 Sprinter MB with a Igelhaut !!!!
Oh wowww 3 differentials what a gimmick. Never had a moment where I needed more than 2 on a 4x4
MÁQUINA BOA DIMAIS TENHO 5 SÃO MUITO BOM MELHOR 4*4 DIMAS E O BICHO BAHIA BRASIL CACULÉ
Way to expensive and this guy is selling these and doesn’t have his specs on hand! Just shouts amateur and overpriced! Sorry just my opinion.
Toooo expnsv!!!!
Es solo chachara.no muestran nada de las especificaciones tecnicas.y no lo dicen en español
Is wrangler just a joke nowdays??
As capable as a Wrangler. Uh huh.
“As capable as a Wrangler”
Too showy. Get 4 wranglers with smithy roof camps for same price.
How you gonna deal with DEF, because this thing is creating problems in every diesel engine. Owning diesel is like a pain. Answer please.
Alle schreiben hier, für das Geld kaufe ich mir das und das und das.....ja dann macht es doch! Qualität kostet.
Rustbucket with incredibly expensive spares ...
Yep to bad you where to smart enough to put yourself in a position to afford one.
That interior looks cheap for a $135k camper van. That's a big nope for me. Plus, the maintenance cost of a Mercedes Sprinter is outrageous. I see rollovers in this van's future with 37" tires + lift.
Quigleys still King. These guys cost 4 times more. And Quigley is already super pricey.
Now the other clowns at it. Centrifickle? Wtf, read the words you struggle with slowly and pronounce each syllable, then speed it up til you say the word correctly. Like when you were 4.
Still no ground clearance. And Sprinter is still junk.
Why would you compare it to a Wrangler as a positive? A Wrangler is a piece of shit?
FFS if you are presenting st., try to pronounciate it correctly, its Iglhaut, not INglhaut, the name is in front of you in such a big letters, isn't it
Second thing is, the bloke that represents Iglhaut has such a face, I wouldn't buy a cookie for charity from him, he somehow manage to stink even over the screen
Third thing is, Iglhauts are not as capable, nor durable, as they used to be putting Bremer/T1N (that should the bloke knows) on G-wagen drivetrain
Not loosing warranty, but have a car nearly a year (with shipment) in Germany for rebuilt is defo not worth it
Oh yes, and the price is ridiculous, not adequate to what it can do and how poorly it last under hardcore conditions
Rust will eat sprinter after few years
