  • 4x4 Sprinters are very capable and versatile vehicles, however many Sprinters have a stiff factory ride over small bumps and extreme swaying over uneven surfaces. Van Compass offers custom tuned suspension kits to improve the Sprinter’s handling both on and off the trail. Our suspension systems help to smooth out the harshness experienced on washboard roads and sharp, abrupt impacts. The bounce over large bumps and the side to side sway is minimized. Van Compass suspension systems are built to your van weight. We have options for light weight passenger vans all the way to full on built our camper vans that are operating at or over the GVWR. No doubt your system helps. I have this similar lift of yours but with the FOX setup. You weren’t offering the newer shocks then. Anyway, in addition to your system adding a 1 5/8” rear sway bar significantly helped with crosswinds and offroad wobble. With crosswinds you still have to compensate for them, but you are not fighting them.

    I have no money in my pocket. I don't even know what I will eat tomorrow but one day I will own one of these and it will take me from Kwa-Zulu Natal to Morroco and I will cross over to Europe, I'll spend a year there before driving through Turkey into Asia from there only time will tell.. the first step is to get my hands on a van , the next step is to seek advice on how to replicate this if I cannot afford to ship it. We do have industry and engineering in our country but this design of Van isn't common. we only have Land Cruisers built for taking tourists on Safari drives and for the Rich Game reserve owners charging far too much, that is enough for them but there isn't anything like this. I pray I will be able to accomplish this before I am too old

    Great video. What size wheels / tires do you recommend with the 6.3?

    Thanks for the great video! I finally received my STAGE 2.3 - VAN COMPASS SUSPENSION PACKAGE WITH FALCON 3.3 FAST ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS - SPRINTER 4X4 (2007-CURRENT 2500). Originally I was planing to have a light weight conversion, but looks like I will be more heavy than I anticipated. Do you think it makes sense to add a mini leaf spring pack to the rear once the build is finished?

    • @VanCompass
      @VanCompass  3 роки тому +3

      Head over to a CAT scale when your build is complete. If you end up over 8k lbs you will want to look at adding our mini spring pack to eliminate sag and bump up the spring rate for more control.

    Excellent video. If I purchase a van in a different state, do you have authorized mechanics to handle the installation of this suspension system or do I need to come to you? Thanks

      Hi, we have dealers that install throughout the US that can help you out.

    Nice video. I like your explanations. How much of this improvement is simply the result of the new and improved Falcon Shocks over the wimpy stock shocks? Second question, is all the criticism of the Sprinter 4WD system warranted or are most of the complaints from operator error. There is a video of a guy doing Imogene Pass in a 2020 LR 4WD "stock" Sprinter. Impressive.

    • @VanCompass

      Adding the Falcon shocks and additional spring rate to the suspension make a huge difference in ride quality. We find the 4x4 Sprinter to be really capable in stock form, but the ride can be made much better. An experienced driver can get a 4x4 pretty far into the wild, but some users are not familiar with the traction control system. The traction control system takes a different style of driving than most are used to.

    • @travsformation1
      @travsformation1 3 роки тому

      @@VanCompass Yeah, it certainly does. Coming from a "traditional" 4WD with no traction control it's taking a bit of getting used to the Sprinter, especially maintaining steady throttle when I'm using to easing my foot off the gas😅
