I recorded the rest of this video before i left for vacation and then edited it so I couldn't go back and re-record parts that i may have messed up, but I didn't catch any major mess ups. The section about "Wrath/Yogg-Saron" I grabbed from my "Storm Peaks" video due to the fact that that is what the wiki talked about with talking about Yogg during that time so it saved me some time, if i had the time before I left for vacation I probably would have re-recorded that section, but I had to download my video and take that section from it rather than use the one I had on my computer because I forgot to move it over to my external harddrives, but I hope it doesn't sound too bad. Hope everyone enjoys!
Just missing pronouncing the "j" at the end of "Y'Shaarj" as is the cannon pronunciation voiced several times throughout the game. Aside from that, thumbs up!
Wow thank you! I’m glad you’ve been enjoying my content so much :) thanks again for the kind words and super thanks. Next solo video will be talking about a Zone in Pandaria :)
There is more to come that is a fact. I got 1,000 ideas and time for half of one, but i'm hoping to get more content out at a good pace, but we will see how that goes with my work schedule lol
So cool to catch one of your vids within hours of upload! Thanks for this one on the Old Gods. I'm a bit shady on their lore. This is great to prep for the World Soul Saga!!
I was glad to get it done! I hope i covered the important stuff, I tried to get all the boxes checked, but I ain't perfect. Hopefully people enjoy the video and get good information out of it :)
I’ve been binging your content for hours! The pace is great! I was just looking for something to fall asleep to last night. Now that I see you wit and depth I wanna be awake lololol 😂
lol well I’m glad you’re enjoying the content, makes me happy :). Be sure that you get some sleep, as much as I want people to watch my content, I also have heard that sleeping is important haha
I only started appreciating the old gods lore by the time I quit WoW just before MoP released. In WotlK I found it distracting from the Scourgewar and I didn’t do much raiding so never experienced AQ until mid Cata. Really cool to have a comprehensive guide to them and it goes to show that I was wrong in not paying attention to this. Keep it up!
I sure tried, I am glad you enjoyed! I'll be releasing a supercut of my 3 videos combining the old gods, the titans and the keepers into one video so hopefully people enjoy that as well :)
You and me both, these past few videos have taken longer than I thought so I’m excited to dive into Pandaria lore more, but I’m not looking forward to trying to pronounce some of the names for the region cause I’ll probably mess up a handful lol
Thank you so much for creating this video. All of the time, effort, hard work, research, and everything else you poured into making the amazing stuff you do, no different is it clear in this video. Thank you so much for sharing the video and information with us. You are appreciated and loved more than you think, regardless what cowards try to manipulate you into believing. You gained subs from this video. Myself included.~ (: Have a day as beautiful as you are on the inside and out.
Thank you! i'm glad you enjoyed the video. I sure try and get as much of the info right and good to go as I can. Thankfully i haven't really had many people being dicks. Only the occasional one here and there, but overall the comments have been great thankfully. Usually people being really supportive of my stuff or the occasional correction on something I said which I'm fine with, only way to learn :). Hopefully you enjoy the rest of my content as well. Thanks again for the kind words!
Nice video ! It's very good for people already knowing the Warcraft lore ! However, I watched it with someone discovering the Warcraft universe and they found it tricky because the images don't really convey much and too many names are chucked around, making it feel like it's assumed that the person listening knows them already. I guess it depends on whom this video is for, and it's fair if you aim it at non-beginners ! That said, good job and thank you for this video ! :)
Whenever I have a new character or someone that isn’t as well know I try to find some sort of image of them, but not always easy lol. If I was some sort of artist I’d love to be able to draw more of the characters myself. Glad you enjoyed! I hope that even new people can follow it fairly well, but regardless it’s a lot of info to consume lol
I've been looking forward to this video for so long. The old gods are by far my favorite bits of lore. Edit: Ik that the death of Y'shaaraj cause great damage to azeroth, but it was like ripping weeds out of the ground you take a bunch of dirt in the roots. But if you poison the weeds and wait for them to die you can remove them with minimal damage to the earth. So why not kill the old gods in their places and slowly remove their forms from the world over time.
My best guess is basic fear. While your idea makes, it could just come down to they didn’t want to take the risk that somehow killing then would cause greater harm than just keeping them imprisoned, even though it doesn’t make too much sense due to the fact that us adventurers kill then anyways. But I’m guessing that when they killed Y’Shaarj their fear took over of further harming Azeroth and they just didn’t want to take the chance
Youre approaching this already having that knowledge. Imagine youve never encountered a weed and the last time you ripped one up it destroyed a massive chunk of your garden
You're welcome :), I hope it helps you, I try to keep an even pace when I talk, but sometimes I talk a bit faster than normal. I hope you can find some other videos of mine that are better paced for yah :)
Something that has bothered me about the Old Gods lore, because I love their lore and their importance, is how the Titans could risk Azeroth dying by ripping Y’Shaaraj out of the planet, thus choosing to imprison and study the remaining Old Gods instead, and then thousands of years later small groups of adventurers play whack a mole with them. In Lore, the Old Gods are now dead, canonically, because the adventurers killed them. How has the planet not irrevocably been harmed? Were the Titans simply wrong? Is the War Within and the Titan Soul Saga the chickens coming home to roost?
From what i gathered the reason that they didn’t want to just rip out the old gods like they did with Y’shaarj was due to their tendrils that were deep within the planet. After ripping out Y’shaarj that created the well of eternity but damaged Azeroth and Aman’Thul decided it was best not to risk causing more damage. As far as how or why the keepers didn’t just kill them all sooner when it seemed easy enough for us I’d guess it came down to the control the old gods had over their respective regions and the titans weren’t aware that they were getting out. Yogg was able to gain control due to the tree in Grizzly hills breaking through his prison a bit thus allowing him to telepathically control Loken and the rest of the keepers. The planet technically was irrevocably harmed (at least in my opinion) due to the damage that Aman’Thul caused since the reason that the sundering happened and split the continents was due to the Well blowing up so I’d assume that harmed Azeroth in someway Hopefully I hade sense but I’m also tired right now so I could be wrong but that’s my two cents lol
That is an interesting thoery, Would be interesting if somehow Azeroth became corrupted so we had to cleanse Azeroth so she didn't just obliterate everything in existence
Thanks, i'm glad you enjoyed it. I was happy to get it done and out to people. I tried to answer all the questions I could think of and get the info out in a concise way, but the old gods are interesting to say the least lol
Sorry about that, but I think you can change the speed of the video to go slower or faster in the settings of the video. I know it can go faster but I think you can slow it down as well to suit you better. Hope you enjoy the rest of the content I got for yah :)

great stuff, love to see longform videos on lore like this

Agree! Perfect watch in bed while falling asleep

First time being the first comment on one of your vids. Love the content man, keep doing what you love. 🙏🔥 I love the beefy videos.

What’s the name of the background music???
I use a few, but the main one I use is one by Hanna Lindgren named The Alabaster Coast that i get from using Epidemic Sound

Happy to do it! Honestly never thought this one would get as much love as it did, but happy people are enjoying it still :)
Thanks again keep em coming
There is plenty more to come and you're quite welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed :)
Underrated channel
Thank you! I hope to see it grow even more sooner rather than later, but honestly i'm still shocked at how much the channel has grown in a short time
No worries! Thanks for the tip 😉👍🏼 (can’t reply directly to your reply, getting error code)

I still subscribe to the Steven universe theory. Where each old god is a part of a full god that’s been experimented on and mixed together.
That is an interesting thoery, Would be interesting if somehow Azeroth became corrupted so we had to cleanse Azeroth so she didn't just obliterate everything in existence
Love your videos, small critique, look up the pronunciation of "inexorable" it was driving me mad lol
lol can do. I tend to try and avoid words I have a tough time with but this time I couldn’t re-record stuff so just went with it lol
I'll take this over freaking AI voice overs any day of the week
For the algorithm
Unfortunately there should be a preface is According to the Titans…
I can always add that in when I do the supercut. Thanks for the idea
Video good 🕳️🦘🥯🗿🗿
Thanks, i'm glad you enjoyed it. I was happy to get it done and out to people. I tried to answer all the questions I could think of and get the info out in a concise way, but the old gods are interesting to say the least lol
