It is a disorder that comes into being when seeing or experiencing severe violence, death or by being in a life-threatening situation. Although I am sure she is heartbroken and experiences a lot of grieve. I do doubt whether or not she is really traumatized (and in that sense needs EMDR or another trauma-related therapy).
