It’s not as easy as it seems to come out as trans, for some it takes years of figuring things out and actually accepting it. Maybe she started a family so it would be easier to live as a man but figured out it didn’t change a thing and was much harder in actuality.

Losing a dad at such a young age is very tough however, the girls were very lucky to have a good father figure but Bruce transitioning and not telling the girls would definitely be tough for the girls because they probably felt excluded and abandoned buttt Bruce was probably just afraid. She probably didn’t want the girls to judge her.
and, in addition, had had decades of keeping it to himself about his feelings. and anyone going through anything life changing is entitled to some inner turmoil which can have consequences for others.. itwas a by product of his struggles.. that is not being a victim as someone above tried to claim. I like how this convo went and I believe each has a good heart. However, when Bruce transitioned to Caitlin, I felt her empathy for the family went right out the window. She felt the need to do a media tour and write a book before everyone had a chance to heal or even get to know Caitlin. I just feel like bruce has deeper emotions or issues he first had to work on. I understand he felt he was doing everything for everybody but who forced him? Who would have thought he was forcing himself to be someone he wasn’t? He should have been clear before hurting his family’ feelings and I’m not talking about his transition but the things he said about them, the fact he had this passive aggressive and defensive attitude. Specially with kris. If you developed any kind of affective relationship you have to consider and respect your partner’s feelings. Anyway that’s why you always have to be transparent, chase your dreams and never sabotage yourself.

Be confident and follow your dreams 😊 , an example: lets say ur parents want you to become a doctor but you don't want to, then you don't have to because that doesn't make you happy., its your life and be happy , if thats not the job u want then dont do it , because it doesn't worth your time. They can become doctors if they really want then , and if they TRULY love you then they will understand that thats not the job u want , because they would want u to be happy.
And always know that everyone makes mistakes, mistakes form people because they learn from it, look at your mistakes like life lessons , they thought you things and now you can move on . I’m sorry you feel that way. I don’t know what your situation but I hope you will feel better. Try to seek the help of someone mature and you can trust or even a professional ( like a psychologist, school advisor..etc)
If there’s no one there for you, just try to be your own hero. Aim to be self sufficient. Finish your education & have a stable source of income. Financial independency can be so liberating from the control of other people (I’m assuming that what is going on in your situation). Be there for yourself first, so you can be there for your loved ones second.
