Not always. I bought an Evanescence CD years back when they had reasonable popularity here in the UK, and it had a live performance on it. The singing was horrendous.

I still believe that Amy has the the most technical and powerful women voice present. When you can stand almost 2 ft from the mic and generate that kind of vocal power is amazing. Love you Amy your songs have helped me through the darkest times.
