A friend bought one in '83 , I thought it was a handsome machine but I preferred Triumph's and Norton's at the time , more suited to the British roads .
One day he asked would I like to test ride it . I was in love with that Pan Head within the first mile ! Brought it back half an hour later . He wouldn't sell it . A couple of months later he ran a T Junction and crashed into a parked car . Maybe he was drunk but he blamed the clutch . The front end was damaged so he decided to have it chopped ( I think that was his intention all along ).Whilst it was in the shop he ran out of work and the shop bought it from him for peanuts .
Nearly 40 years later, I think he's still in the same place I left him .
I know that a running classic or antique bike isn't a rare occurrence. But i still think that it's incredible that something that old is still running and looks as good as it does. Wish it was mine!
All I can say is wow! Beautiful piece of history. Thanx for sharing!
thanks for the reply! Love your passion for Harleys. Peace, paul.
Out of all the Pans you’ve had on this channel this by far my favorite. Love these rough around the edges kind of bikes. Looks like something a country outlaw would ride. Please get some more so I can pick one up from ya one of these days! 🤘🏻😁
Beautiful ! I wouldn't want to paint or change a thing about the way she looks. Except the rear fender to blend it in with the rest. I just found out how great this channel is and am enjoying it. Thanks for finding and preserving some great old Harley Davidson's.
this is one badass bike, i love all your builds
Yes. Outstanding bike.
That one and the ‘52 CHP pan are my favourite ones
glad you like the videos, now if I could find some original paint tanks and a rear fender for this!
That is beautiful!
Had a 1957 hydra at 20 and now it's a dream at 50
i love how you stand on the bike to start it, i did the same thing on my 52 panhead
Lovely bike which looks how a proper bike should look! Needs alignment doing to stop it going sideways down the road.
Love these videos, please keep them coming. I notice this bike is not tracking straight. thanks again. Peace, Paul.
PANHEADS FOREVER
Paul, I checked the video. What your seeing is an optical illusion because the street curves, i'm filming at an angle, not directly behind the machine and enhanced by loss of pix-elation on the camera I used which decided that day to "break". That camera is now at best Buy for repairs- Todd
Would you happen to have any bikes like this for sale or would you be able to find one?
Very cool!
Found it, HH...impressive. The seat post is spring loaded?

I have a 1961 Police Duo and a 1963 Duo right now, both original paint
how much are you asking?
Beutiful bike ,very simple very Harley
Was the tombstone tail-light original to those bikes? I just found one similar i put on my triumph. :-)
why do people prefer the solo seat over the buddy seat every time I see a barn find on a magazine or video the bike would always have a buddy seat to begin with ?
easier to find, looks good

I think the solo seat is a 55 and newer. with the arrow head. correct would be the three piece skirt.
