We just don't seem to have a lot of this vintage in Ontario,the short riding season kept them all in the south Anyway a beautifull find none the less,keep these great vids coming,I love em!!

As far as how many parts come in black but of coarse you can buy them in chrome at the dealer') but I kinda like that to a point because my 05 has a few pieces that I prefer stay black the rough part is the couple grand it cost to change the rest to chrome, but if you want the real deal you gotta pay...at least with HD you get what you pay for!
These lighted tips in this time era were made by a company called Nation Built. they are harder to find off a bike today then it is to find an original paint with them on it. The lighted Harley tips did not come out until the EVO era some 40 plus years later
EVERYTHING stands out on this one. but you know the handgrips are very very cool....also, that color (considered a peacock blue, right?) is so perfect on this bike. what a score.
My 49, which is not as nice as this, has front leg stamps on both sides. I saved your video as a reference on how stuff is suppost to look as I bring her back to sortacorrect.
All i can think about is getting on to a pre 65 stock full size prefered ,chopped maybe , harley , Are there any that would be easier to acheive because numbers made or a base model or the like and such
Your finds never sieze to amaze me ,So you plan on goin all the way w era accesseries, ive never seen a lit fender bib on that age , Became factory on the 70s FLH s right ?
Absolutely beautiful fantastic bike. I have to ask, why do panheads have that sewing machine noise along with the exhaust? Shovelheads don't sound that way to me anyway.
Panheads and Generator Shovels along with all HD motor's with this type of design have more gears in the timing chest then 1970 up machines. This gears give it the sewing machine sound. If the gear lash is not properly installed, it creates a whining sound.
Thanks Todd, I always learn something here. I own a 59 and always wondered, most people say it sounds great but my shovel sounded better to me. Never too old to learn. I'm 71 all three of my bikes are kickers. I'm glad your back you have the best channel on UA-cam Oh yeah them jerkoffs on AIM forum suck balls LOL

Stupid, non-biker dude question: Is that a hand gearshift on the left? I'm not a Harley freak so forgive me! Years back, I did have one of those Harley 250 Sprint bikes made by Aeromacci(?) I think it was. Maybe I'm part of the brotherhood after all! Nah -- guess not. Great, great bike. That one is special. Love the all-original stuff.

The foot shift became an option on the big twins in 1952. 1979 was the 1st year foot shift was standard on all models, no exception.

all depends on where you live. Duo Glides tend to be easier to find and cheaper for similar condition. But not always

Most are out of the USA. most of those in Japan. Prices here for really nice old machines tend to be higher now then other countries
