Bagnasco & Casati OM-45 Custom in Brazilian Rosewood

A very special guitar, this OM-45 has some custom features that make it even fancier than your "standard" style 45.
First off, the Brazilian rosewood set picked for the back and the sides is superb. Of the so called 'brick red' type, straight grained and quarter sawn. Building with such wood is becoming harder and harder and prices for wood (and guitars) can only go up and up, until it will simply no longer be practical to source this type of rosewood. In the meanwhile, we're happy to use it for special projects, such as this.
The sides of this OM are a little deeper than a regular OM, making for a different instrument altogether, both in terms of feel and tone.
Other than the usual style 45 abalone purflings on top, sides and back, this guitar sports abalone purfling all around the fingerboard and headstock. And a abalone back strip.
The top is a master quality, moon logged European red spruce (Picea Abies) top that was harvested years ago in Italy. Top of the crop, so to speak.

The deeper body seems to add a mid range not normal to an Om . If you can find a Loo Gibson made of Brazilian it has that extra magical midrange

I've never played or seen or heard of a L00 with rosewood back and sides, but I guess it would sound pretty great
