I know this is an older video, but I'm sure people still watch it. I just did this on my 08 Yukon Denali with the premium Bose, the white antenna wire did not trigger the amp to turn on. I ended up using the pink ignition wire (under the steering column, covered by a plastic cover), it is the very top connector and it was listed as Pin 6. Also added a 5amp fuse in case of a short. Good luck everyone, thanks for the video, Carlos.
Quiubo Victor.
Right no the money with wire colors and everything. I did this today 12/6/14 on my 2009 GMC Sierra Bose System subs sounds great. No cutting wires just clip on wire splitters for converter for RCA's Thanks man.
i have a 2006 chevy tahoe with bose.. without sub... when i turn the radio up the tones seem to level out across the board... why is that??? would i need to take out this whole radio to make it sound loud when i want it loud
I know this is from back in the day but hopefully you’ll get this and can answer. MY LOC has a built in remote wire and relies on signal out power and doesn’t need the remote wire. What I do need however is 12v constant and ground for the LOC. I was told the red wire on the right side with the white strip was 12 V constant. Only problem is there’s 2 side by side one fat one and a smaller one. Any chance you know which is the constant
hey man I'm adding 2 free air lanzar 10s and a kicker amp after watching ur video was wondering what and were are the speaker wires I tie into on the converter?? thanks for the help
if i plug my 2 rear speakers into the line out converter then plug my amp into that will it work? does it have to be specifacally before or after the bose amp?? thanks plz reply
Hello Carlos.. I know this is old forum but need help. watching your video you said the power ant was the white wire 2nd to the left. on my 2007 chevy tahoe I have 2 wires befor the white wire. would my white wire be the power ant?
Hi, I am looking for the bypass for gmc acadia I try to fine in the wires in the radio but I couldn't fine it do you have any ideas where I can find it and also what coolers they are? I would be vary thankful.
Help!!! I added a sub amp and hi's amp, i only have one converter but i used 2 splits to make 4 rca jacks and my hi's play just fine but my subs amp goes into protect mode, i thought the splits were the problem so i put the subs on str8 from the converter rca's and turn my radio up 2 dials and amp goes into protect, changed 3 diff amps and same results but all 3 play the hi's, im running off the rear right speaker that i spliced into from the door, can u tell me y it goes into protect when i try to play my subs but my hi's r playing awesome?
Any ideas on where to find the wires for my 2011 tahoe. I'm hooking up my kicker cx 600.1 mono amp. Do I want to hook up to just one channel? My current install was set up on left channel only?
I installed a in line converter , amp n sub to my 2012 gmc Yukon Denali hooked it up the way u said when I have the volume down n close the doors I get this loud humming loud from the sub
You have an open ground loop you are getting noise from a radio ground alternator or even your rcas connected to your amp you need to buy a noise filter
I have a 03 escalade with bose system I got a amp and a 12 kicker installed and they tapped in to the left back door speaker and my stock bose sub bumps more than my new kicker I think those idiots did something wrong they told me I needed a better head unit but I have a stock one that I like could you give me some advice??? On what might be wrong?
Hey I'm installing an aftermarket radio in my 08 tahoe with Bose but couldn't get any sound through the speakers. Do I need to tap into the remote wire of the factory amp with the aftermarket harness to get sound
utilizando el arnés mercado después de la (cable azul con franja blanca) azul / blanco se tiene que estar conectado al cable de encendido remoto de la radio o un cable accesorio 12v
you can, if you want to rewire the entire system, fine the correct wires/connectors to run from the stock radio to the amp, and have the radio specifically made for the bose system. good luck
I am installing an amp to my stock radio and I have a Bose system on a 07 suburban. But I don't know how to bypass the system we tried what we saw on your video but it still didn't get no sound to my subs
Your usually speaker wires are (+/-) Tan/gray - front left Light green/dark green - front right Black/yellow - rear left Dark blue/light blue -rear right. Once you see those wires, disconnect the harnest from the amp, get a volt meter, and see if you measure resistance(ohm), if you do, that will be your speaker you need to run for either your radio, or amplifier. If you cannot reach the factory amp to disconnect the wires easily, you have to disassemble the center console. If you cannot do it yourself, I advise you to take it to your local audio shop and have them complete the install so you won't cause any damage do your factory amp, your radio, or anything in your vehicle.
Question, are you installing a radio? Or just adding an amp? With the radio, you are requires to have a gmos-LAN-012 to have the factory integrates with the aftermarket radio. Now just with adding a sub amp, the wire location of the Bose sub is in plain sight. Does the amp turn on? Do you have 12v power on the amp and also on your remote wire? Can you measure AC voltage on the rcas to see if you connected the hi lo converter correctly?
you didn't bypass anything the factory amp is still there and powered on... you just added your own. should rename the title so others don't waste time looking to actually bypass the Amp.

utilizando el arnés mercado después de la (cable azul con franja blanca) azul / blanco se tiene que estar conectado al cable de encendido remoto de la radio o un cable accesorio 12v
remote from the factory harness side has to be connected to the radio's remote turn on wire
I clearly explained that the white wire is for your remote turn on mainly use for your aftermarket amplifier DO NOT GROUND IT

Everyone there is a special harness you need to buy thats the only way without cutting any wires
Eric Davila where do we get said wiring harness?
Eric Davila Where?
2011 should be in that same spot. if you do not have a bose system, you can get the wires behind the radio.
