Thank you for sharing that information i was able to wire up my double din in 30 minutes. There are many videos about the amp bypass, created solely to confuse but yours is straight forward and very helpful thanks again...
Good looking I was going crazy though I was going to have to hook up an aftermarket amp this definitely worked. Now I have to put all my stuff back together listening to these other folks
I just hooked up my head unit just with power and signal and ground and then ran my wires from my amp to my speakers and subs and I found that factory amp and just unplugged it but unless my amp is bad it keeps on going into protection mode I don't know what else to do but to buy another amp and test it am I missing something?
@@T3576 On the head unit or the wires from the car? On the head unit is labeled 12 volt I can't remember how I found it in the wires coming from the car but you can go to Walmart and get one of those low voltage power lights they kind of look like a screwdriver with a very sharp tip and has a clamp at the end of it I can't rememberwith the correct name is for them drawing a blank right now lol but I did end up getting my system to work correctly in my Tahoe my main problem was I had my amp all the way in the third row seat and I was only using 8 gauge wire to the second row everything work perfect the back make sure you have 0 gauge wire disconnected every single wire going to it. I thought that was a problem at first but after I got everything working I'm not even sure I had to do all that ...was actually because I had it ran too far with two small of a wire .my 02 Tahoe was definitely the worst vehicle I've ever tried to put a system in
but...don't forget the cars and trucks that has..OnStar..steering wheel controls..xm...and fatory Bose system..so to retain thoes fetures you can't use a regular harness..you must use a pac5 gm11or 31..they can cost as much as130.00.depends on where you buy them..I just got thru doing mINE ..A SUPER PAIN IN MY A..SS..
Damn I see what you did now after watching it 50 time I didn't even have to do all that b*******disconnecting the connections directly to the amp that s*** was hard as hell to get to. thanks for the video
but the people wanting to buy a proper harness don't want there factory wires all hacked up like yours.. so much easier to build your own harness from from a $10 clip u can buy, then you can take your shit out easy for resale purposes.. personally I prefer to keep my stuff all clean, I have the patience to buy the right stuff and do it right once.. yes your way works, awesome you saved $10
Well let me TELL yall?!!! 2 door Tahoe. Two how's!!! They are awesome vehicle's. But.... Im looking for a clean Monte Carlo ss. Or a 2005 Toyota Corolla gts
This video is confusing as hell 😂 did you just cut the factory harness and get your signal and battery and groundI don't care about the door speakers or any of the other ones working I just don't want to go through the factory amp I thought by just hooking up my battery ground and signal on my harness that that would be okay but when I connect the harness to the factory plug it's still running through the factory amp even if I don't wire the speakers up I think what you did here was cut the harness the factory harness and you found your battery signal and ground and then somehow hooked up your speakers I'm still not sure how you did that without not going through the factory amp I'll have to take all my stuff back out and look at it a little better
Bro. All you have to do is hook up the AMP WIRE. YOU WILL GET NO SOUND THROUGH SPEAKERS IF YOU DON'T HOOK UP THE AMP WIRE. most people skip over the amp wire because they think it's for subwoofer amp. No. You need it for sound period. No need to do any extra hacking. Or buying bullshit interface components.
@@gordodouble0796 hook it to the red switched wire on the radio. The wire that turns off with the key. Not the yellow constant (memory) wire that stays hot at all times

Plus those factory Bose systems bang so why bypass it? You can't blow the amp because it has a surge protector.
bishop with a new head unit though right?
Those Bose factory amps do go out
Because you have to to get sound 😂
You can and will blow the Bose amp. They blow pretty often.
Probably wont blow but the longevity isn't the greatest
and doing that will work the steering wheel controls
Nt shure..but i see y nt
