This doesn't answer random acts, like spontaneous disease or cancer.
Maybe not in an anti Biblical worldview, but it does answer that if you allow the Bible to speak for itself. In Genesis we read the account of God creating the universe and, as God said, it was, "Very good". No diseas or catastrophes. There was nothing bad in the universe. Now God didn't just make a universe, He populated the earth with beings who share His likeness and are made in Hid image. He made these beings with free will AND gave them dominion over the earth. When Adam sinned, He brought down everything that was under his dominion. Think of it like a king who declares war. Though his subjects lived in peace, they must now join that king in war because he acts as the voice, image, and authoirty over all that is under his realm. This is the same for Adam. When he sinned, he brought down everything that was under his domain, which was the whole earth. Romans chapter five also adds more to this
