That's a very advanced infotainment system for 2004, considering japanese infotainments are usually critisized these days.

Pretty nice, they had infotainment touch screen with navi, tv etc in the Mitsi 96 onward F31A F36A shape JDM Diamante, RCA vid/audio inputs in console, JDM 96 onward EA/EC Galants/Legnums also had similar setups.
Japs are gernerally always pretty advanced when comes to tech, cars in japan are generally loaded to the eye balls with tech even the early 90s stuff.

What did you pay? I just recently bought a 2005 Acura MDX touring with 256k on the clock for $300. I had to replace the timing belt, tensioner and pulleys (water pump was already done but they hadn't done the tensioner and it was knocking), 4 tires, rear brakes, AC compressor, side view mirror, engine ground cable. Still have to do some other odds and ends like the replace the rear upper control arms with adjustable ones and the valve covor gaskets (inner plug tube seals) but overall it's a decent car. I had to put a bit more into it than expected but that's par for the course haha.

I really like the the styling and the solidity of these vehicles. We had something similar to the RL here in the UK. But over here it was badged as a Honda Legend. It didn't sell well at all. I think that's because the Honda badge wasn't posh enough to justify it's price tag. So people went for the Lexus, BMW, or Mercedes equivalent. Love the videos, keep up the good work.

Wouldn't have held much hope upon first impression of start up.
Bought a used 02 in 04 with almost 100k miles for just under $20,000. I drove it another 125k miles. Aside from brakes tires and fluids and belts the only thing that ever went bad was a fuel relay.

That car is definitely a keeper! 158k miles is nothing for that Acura. I know someone that had that same car and he had over 300k miles on his. You take care of them and they last a long time. The bumper can probably just be clipped back into place unless the clips are broken, and hopefully you can find a door and fender for it, and it will need a good detailing and it looks like the paint finish isn't the greatest in spots, but heck I would even buy that car to be like my point a to point b work car or something.

Is my eyes deceiving me or did that car seriously have a Onstar logo on the driver side door window? I thought Onstar was GM exclusive? Am I missing something here? 7:03,

The TLs are good cars too, The RL is a more luxury car while the TL seems alot more sporty based.

Well I want a 3.5 turbocharge it and put it in a 1998-2001 ford ranger or make a front-wheel-drive hauling van with a 5 speed manual

That sound might be an exhaust leak far up like the downpipe or manifold as crazy as it sounds, i was chasing down a tick on my f150 forever thinking it was rockers or lifters or something internal and it ended up being a cracked exhaust manifold. Just my $.02

Weird how Honda (which is Acura's parent company) seemed to copy some Lexus styling and Mercedes styling in the SL. I guess if you wanted one and couldn't afford it, you bought this. Car companies are weird that way. Kinda like how the Silverado and Sierra have existed side by side with each other for so many years even though they're the exact same truck. I remember GM thought about getting rid of GMC back in the 80's but it never happened.
