Since a lot of you have been asking for the SCRUM Board Template: It's a free Notion-Template: www.notion.so/marketplace/templates/small-company-scrum-board?cr=cre%253Anotion
This really captures what the average programmer is going into, so this helps us beginners a lot to understand where we could fit in on a regular level. Refreshing amidst so many other programming "content creators" that make "content" of them showing off with vague information on what to expect. This video is the opposite of that, actual content consisting of useful information from beginning to end. Thank you.
Fantastic video. Way more interresting than those other dev youtube videos (that you also talked about) which are basically just show-off videos with no actual insight and definetly nothing to learn from. Really nice, thanks for this :)
@@kwamenaplays5899 Im working with symfony at this moment, i prefer Laravel but Symfony is nice as well, you learning proper PHP on stereoids. PHP for ever
Thank you for making a realistic day in a life. And not a day when you film everything you eating, all games you are playing etc. Ass a developer my self I can say this day are realistic and not a day at the kindergarten. Great work 🤠
i like your example of a "keep doing" being short and efficient meetings, but also doing scrum at the same time where no such thing realistically exists. I wish scrum would never have existed and the agile manifesto was kept to its purest form, but alas. accurate video
Ah lovely, thanks for the simple vlog I'll try to go through these steps (making small milestones and making note of the simple version control things) to prep for my first tech internship from Jan was a bit stressed, as I haven't really worked with production based before, only dealt with the theoretical side aaaa, thanks again random stranger on the web
Storypoints are usually not only about time, but more about the effort; complexity, risk or uncertainty. For example, maybe it’s easy to make a change and won’t take much time, it can have an effect on other things, which will make it a risky change, thus more story points.
I've been out of work for 2.5 years now, taking the time to decide what I really want to focus on for the next 10+ years. I already had some experience in Unreal Engine 5, and started to learn C++ to understand the engine. but it never stuck with me as I knew it was a long time till this got me any money. But now after really going over the options. a currier in coding with C++ has the highest pay and opportunity to grow out of any industry I had experience in and was putting lots of effort into trying out. Going to open up my old learning files and really dedicate 2-3 hours a day to make sure I land a job within a year. Cant wait to see where this takes me.
💻. A good, realistic overview of what software development in a medium sized company looks like. Personally I've started disliking a lot of the heavy processes of scrum, pull requests, code review etc. I prefer trunk based development, lots of pair programming and deploying all the time (CD) for faster feedback loops with the product owner and customer.
Also a very good approach in my opinion. I've also used it in the past and liked it a lot but this one works also quite well. Also i coudn't do anything about it 😂
Thank you sir, really we don't want that type of video - " A day in the of SDE". Eventually one day we will reach there, it is a matter of time. In real life what SDE do that was a big question, you solve that. ❤ 3:30 that is actually SDLC of SDE
Wonderful video. Super detailed. Can you tell me a bit more about how long it takes for a junior to fully integrate into this process and eventually become a contributing member
💻I work agile like this, it can be very efficient. Although we were also running a support function and that just kills a sprint sometimes. But we are transitions to new work now and leaving that support function behind. Looking forward to doing Scum like it's meant to be done. Nice video :)
Good to see a more realistic representation of the programmer life. It's just lacking the moments where shit is deployed to production when its only 50% done, where people start making themselves scarce during crunch time and only 1 or 2 programmers are left to work 100h weeks, while managers are wringing each others necks and staff turnover skyrocketing.
I don't actually use Notion for Scrum and only used it for demonstration purposes but i used this one and adjusted it to my needs: www.notion.so/marketplace/templates/scrum-board-727?cr=cre%253Aslidity
Video request: Make a video on trending tech stacks in Switzerland and how to get jobs in Switzerland from outside Europe. If not the later, plz make the first one! Danke!
What issue tracking software do you guys use? My company doesn’t use one and I honestly like the simplicity of what you guys have. Former internship used Jira (loved it) but too much to integrate into our company at the current moment.
What template is this? Can you utilize the free version for this template? Can be quite a fun way to use an issue tracking software until they want to implement something new into our infrastructure (like Jira)

Fantastic video. Way more interresting than those other dev youtube videos (that you also talked about) which are basically just show-off videos with no actual insight and definetly nothing to learn from. Really nice, thanks for this :)
I am a new grad with no experience and starting a job soon, thank you for this i found it very helpful.

Now this is real life of our daily basis software development job...Good job man!
Very nicely explained, people who don't yet have experience in the industry can see what awaits them. 😁👏
This was super interesting, thank you for sharing!
Thank you for making a realistic day in a life. And not a day when you film everything you eating, all games you are playing etc. Ass a developer my self I can say this day are realistic and not a day at the kindergarten. Great work 🤠

A real gem of a video! Most realistic, realistic day in the life😁
Thanks a lot for the details
this was the most realistic and helpful video of a software developer day look like. thanks for the content👍
Now this is an actual day In life, absolutely amazing vid!
A good documentary on what actually goes on in product dev
leave it to a german to explain programmers don't hang out, eat free food and go the gym after 15 minutes of work.
i like your example of a "keep doing" being short and efficient meetings, but also doing scrum at the same time where no such thing realistically exists. I wish scrum would never have existed and the agile manifesto was kept to its purest form, but alas.
accurate video
Great video, super informative for people who are outside the tech field. Keep posting!
this is the most accurate day of the life of software engineering nice
Loved the detail on the process, helps a jr developer here.
I love how the plan works ❤
It's so refreshing to see a developer use Intellij.
Yeah I really like working with JetBrains products
Great video, my day to day has been exactly like this. Very good look into the world of software development.
Glad it was relatable!
this is a realistic video. from 1 software engineer to another
Really good! Realistic, very well explained.
Ah lovely, thanks for the simple vlog

If you're equating points to time, you are better off just using time as your sizing metric.
Keep 'em coming brah

I thought I was going to watch a 'Day in the life video', then I ended up learning a lot 😅 Thanks bro, this is quite helpful 😁💻
That’s exactly what we do in college software engineering labs. Very interesting to see this

Im yet to see a better and very realistic day in the life video 🔥
Wonderful video. Super detailed.
Can you tell me a bit more about how long it takes for a junior to fully integrate into this process and eventually become a contributing member
Depends on how quick you can pick up new things. I'd say between 2-4 months to be a fully productive member.
nice perspective! 🖥
Love it 🖥Thank you!
💻 awesome content man keep it coming
Really helpful for me, Now I can relate 👍🏻👍🏻
nice video it high lights what really happen in real software dev companies
Very helpful and informative video 🖥

Age old question: is it a Bug or feature?
Cool video, very informative!!

Great video 💯
Hello, the accuracy in my day to day. Dou you mind sharing the notion templates you use for scrum sprinting
I don't actually use Notion for Scrum and only used it for demonstration purposes but i used this one and adjusted it to my needs: www.notion.so/marketplace/templates/scrum-board-727?cr=cre%253Aslidity
what is that scrumboard you are using?
Video request: Make a video on trending tech stacks in Switzerland and how to get jobs in Switzerland from outside Europe. If not the later, plz make the first one! Danke!
Great video bro
Do you use Dvorak keyboard layout?
Watching this as a first year cs student is inspring, hope to become like you one day. May I ask what software you guys are making?
Unfortunately it’s classified but I can tell you it is government software.
Thank you man no one eer dont it this proper,
Now that’s some real stuff.
story points jira tickets 😂😂😂 jared
💻 great video!
that template is great, could you make it available?
awesome video!
So refreshing to not watch a day in a life video of someone brushing thier teeth. great work
what is name scrum border app?
What issue tracking software do you guys use? My company doesn’t use one and I honestly like the simplicity of what you guys have. Former internship used Jira (loved it) but too much to integrate into our company at the current moment.
We use Jira. I’ve setup a Notion Scrum Template for the video to demonstrate it as simple as possible
What template is this? Can you utilize the free version for this template? Can be quite a fun way to use an issue tracking software until they want to implement something new into our infrastructure (like Jira)
Each phase or process is important
nailed it!
What is the wide screen monitor you're using?
OLED G9 from Samsung
you even do the ui by your own , or is it fontend only ?
What’s that scrum software? We’re using ClickUp and I dig the simplicity of those one (frontend engineer here)
Its just a default notion template for scrum
Good video, but please raise the volume since the difference between the volume in your video and the youtube ads are 3-4x. 😬
Thanks for the tip. Will keep that in mind 👍🏻
That is real life of programmer!!!!!!
Nice one!
This is rich 🎉. Just subscribed ✨
💻 this video gives me motivation.
finally some real content
A full day meeting for a 2 week sprint is insane.
Retro & Planning are on the same day. So it's only a half day for planning.
Thank you 👊
8:03 Ueberrest -> best productivity music
yo thanks for this
Nice video.your role is software engineer or software developer?
