    Glad guys like you post this stuff, i do mostly resi with the odd light commercial job and boss man never really told or trained me what to do with RTUs, so it was all trial and error.

    A good thang also is check the heat exchanger even in the summer time because that can save you especially if you found a bad part or on a maintenance, because I was helping a tech on a job and he found a leak on a Suction line he was about to give her a quote but I found a cracked heat exchanger also.

    Ryan, great videos! Maintenance mechanic here ,just starting a building maintenance position ,concentrating hvac. Onthat machibe your working on with the coils in the middle of the machine. What's the vest way to do setups like that?

    so frustrating to see roof top work like this done with 1 person. at least send someone to help the man get the tools and material on the roof.

      Problem we have is the pm guys don’t get shit done when they’re together, take an hour and a half lunch then pencil whip the entire pm sheet. I can see your point but 1 guy is all you really need.

      Yea I’m a pm tech with 26 stores at least 40 units on all the building and they gave me two months to have all of these pms done and they wanted us to start in April and I live in co it’s still snowing out here lol

      60 days 1000ish units that’s about 6 hours a day for one person not hard

    Where do you get that grabbing mechanical thing? To grab all your boxes up?

    Some of those filters you pulled out look brand new. I'd be concerned something's wrong and the unit isn't working.

      Agreed, we preform this maintenance and I can assure you every unit was inspected, cycled and tested.

    This guy does pms correctly. He’s actively looking for issues. Most pm guys just pencil whip and collect an easy paycheck.

    What do you mean when you say you have a jumper? What is the purpose of doing a jump?
    Can you please explain what a Jumper is, where it’s done, why it’s done, and how it’s done? Please and thanks!!!!!!

      Jumper wire. Used to jump 24v between r and w to bring on heat. Basically bypassing the thermostat

      @@HughesManHVAC you would do this when you’re on cooling mode, you are basically bypassing to turn on the heat mode just to make sure it works and turns on fine, right??

      @@anthonybarragan1687 yes, you can jump in out in heat or cooling while testing the unit just to make sure everything is working properly
