Connect the Device (1) Please discharge the device before updating. -> Remove the battery and press the OFF/ON button for 2 seconds (press the test button if do not have OFF/ON button). (2) Connect the device to the computer with an USB connection line(appropriate type). I can't remove the battery without ruining the device. Your video showed me how to safely do this. THANKS!
Thank you for this. Godox pointed me to this video as I was having problems trying to update my X3 with my MacBook Pro with the M3Pro chip. Godox told me I should "update" my computer to an Apple without the M3 chip. That's not an update Godox. They also sent me a link to an updated version of the G3 updater but it was the same version that's available on the website. Your video was exactly what I needed to update my trigger and it did it on the first try. Thanks you for making this informative video.
this video helped alot because Godox being chinese expect you to read the tiny print manual on how to do firmware updates, but that really should be in the firmware update writing where it says "go to settings, device info, update". without that step i was going crazy and I'm computer saavy, just not godox chinese saavy.
Thank you for posting this video, I own the Flashpoint Nano version, I wanted to update to V1.24. I tried updating with Flashpoint's F3 installer and their V1.24 BIN. It was bricked! I looked through the Nano manual and found a way to use the buttons to get it into installation mode only (hold down the Test button and the mode wheel, then release the Test Button). After that I was able to use the Godox G3 installer and the Godox V1.24 Bin file to do the update and get the unit working. The unit says Godox on start-up instead of Flashpoint now. The version number is v1.24 and the unit functions perfectly.
@@AndreMorganPhotography did't expect that. Just did iti like you in the vlog. On my Nikon version couldn't go in hhs no matter if I set hhs on the x3 or in the camera menu, so i hopped that the new fw 1.0.9 would solve this issue. Tomorow goes to waranty service.
@@AndreMorganPhotography please let us all know if you see any changes with new fw. Does they added individual zoom for each group that was missing, comparing with xpro2? Or something elese in the interface? Thank you in advance!
@crs1flo sure thing, but I don’t think it offers individual zoom, that might be in another firmware update, the changes I’ve noticed so far, is with the language being English by default, I’ll let you know if I see anything else
