Hey Rob. Chemist here. One thing about a strong acid in water is that it is a very vigorous reaction that generates a ton of heat. When mixing acids we actually use an ice bath while mixing for obvious safety reasons. With vitriolic sphere in water I think you are right that the radius would be larger due to the acid be diluted in the water, but I think it would do some of its damage at heat due to the reaction of acid in water. Just one thing to consider. I love all the attention to detail you put into your campaigns keep up the great work.
It's almost like a nearly 10 minute recap of a 30-minute episode should happen for them before the cameras are rolling because the people watching it actually remember better than they do... good way to stretch it out another 4 years I guess

Back in 3.5 we had a DM that was notoriously bad at massive damage saves for big bads. A frenzied barbarian one shot a cloud giant and a kraken because of it. 😂 The kraken came back in another game as a crawling apocalypse in the desert where it landed. The cloud giant was supposed to be an ally that was testing our strength. 😅

we know Baradun is casting an illusion spell, so I think he is creating a bunch of permanent illusions of himself that travel inside him. So in the end he can separate them from himself to appear like there are a bunch of him suddenly appear.
I used to think he was hiding them underground, but then the others would have seen them underwater. I think you’re right about the illusions being inside Baradun.
Greg's guardian thing he can summon, that only attacks when enemies move in range, could he have used that as a goalie to stop the giant from getting any rocks in?

'Refraction' only happens at the boundary of materials with different density while water itself absorbs light so instead of blinding the effects of radiant should be diminished based on distance in feet.
What I think should happen - Baradun never gets the chance to cast the spell he has been preparing all this time, and no one tells what it actually was suposed to do. The very last frame is Baradun standing alone in a corner doing his spell thingy, while everyone else celebrates.
Baradun is doing a nuke for sure, he is saving and unhuman amount of fireballs in a notebook, he will hand it to the BBG then when he open it, will detonate all of them at the same time and get an easy win

It's honestly really funny that the rest of the guys have all but completely forgotten about the save state scroll. Granted they don't really play enough D&D to really realize how special it is as it's a homebrew item specific to their videogame NPCMan world. I just always assumed Baradun is trying to learn the spell.
Baradun did improve that scroll every downtime. They just haven’t gotten any downtime bc it’s the middle of the fight. Baradun won’t forget that scroll.
Remember years ago when bodger was out damaging everyone in a fight? I love how the past few fights have been casters almost soloing high level encounters and Bodger almost has that moment of "I remember when I was the best"
Hey Rob, love the homebrew of spells working differently in water. We know acid doubles the radius and halves the damage. Lightning jumps, and radiant reflects. Can you let us know the rest of them?

Rob said its multi-stage, so it is possible that Baradun is actually manafesting him, with all of the powers we've seen him "use" throughout the campaign. Ex. He may be a ranger who is able to turn into a dragon, among other things. Idk.

With the spell re-learned he will use the Scroll of time to go back to when Leathil did whatever to Kelethac to stop that from happening. OR, he will use the Scroll of time to grab the orb and leave it in the future so that Leathil cant trap him in the first place.
As much as I want to head over to Vivaplus, I also know it's close to the end, of which I want to prolong as much as I can.....bring on the ad's and week long waits! 😅

It was not 138; even a max damage *disintegrate* deals 100 damage.
I think Baradun is doing something to make Djoeph the Uwu Dragon permanent. It is technically beneficial.
