- On our way to Canada for Singletrack 6, we stumbled upon the Whitefish Bike Retreat, a bike themed campground that links into the Whitefish trail system, with a fun skills park and pump track. It was a great reminder to play on our bikes more often!

Thanks for the great reminder that not every ride (even for XC racers) has to be a sufferfest. Places like that little retreat are perfect for welcoming folks into the sport.

We were there just 2 weeks after you. Such a great spot. We loved that fact that you could ride singletrack all the way in to town. Such fun riding and such a great little bike Retreat. Keep being awesome!

Fat biking is a blast. It's how we keep going up here in southern Ontario during winterror season. Once your into it, you'll love it..

You guys have to promise to come back and ride here again. You've only scratched the surface of the Flathead Valley and almost no UA-cam creators have.
Fun video. Yes, trails around Whitefish are excellent; but, you do have to diligently watch out for bears.
Can't wait to see the Canadian content! This was perhaps the calm before the storm of what race is ahead of you north of the border.

Love that you guys found this place, it really is a great spot. If you ever find yourself back in whitefish you need to check out Spencer mountain which is just down the way from the retreat.

I had that same comment about new trails and always needing to stop and check the map. What a PITA! I don’t like to have my phone on the handlebars because I smashed one that way on a fall. 😢
That's why we like the Stages Dash computers, they're way more robust (and smaller) than have a phone on the handlebars!

Wish I had a trail system like that around my house... Hey and what's with those foot-long grips on your and Syd's bikes? When I raced in the last century, I used L-shaped Bar-ends....these were great for climbing and of course different hand holds during the race...I guess they are not "cool" anymore...
Yeah, bar ends have gone out of fashion. I used to use them back in the mid 2000s but I think as bars got wider and more aggressive trails and descending became more popular people decided they weren't worth the extra hand positions.
Theres been a shit ton of bears out here in pisgah..we usually hoot n holler most of the time we ride..some of us go armed just in case
If you think this is good bike connected infrastructure, you would explode at the stuff connected to the N. Minnesota trails - Cuyuna/Tioga/Redhead/Duluth. Less so for Jackpot and Split Rock, but those are coming along.

I've been watching some trials riders, trying to get tips for bike handling skills. It's easy to forget we ride bikes because it's fun.
Also, Stages picked good people to sponsor. I'm absolutely convinced I need, despite having gone my entire life without. It would solve so many issues with my local trails. Great trails, terrible signage.
