The fact that you have your kiddos riding with you is amazing. My wife and I have a 6 month old right now and every day I think, it's another day closer till him and I can send it down the trails together. Great video!
Yup! And you can see the ski trails on Big Mountain when you're in the Flathead valley, which I find helpful as a point of reference if you on which direction you are looking!
You may not see this, but next time you're in Montana definitely try out Discovery Bike Park. Its close to Phillipsburg and has awesome wood features and jumps. Ride on!🤘
INFANTE GAMING I've never downhill skiid there....only cross country a million years ago before they made it into whatever it is today....cross country was awesome!
fantastic video, you, and Beth have certainly upped your game in production value, and story telling this year, always stoked to see your vids. I would love to see you, and Beth do a collab with Eric, and Yuka from BCPOV, and Van girl Yuka
Great vibes. The family cams are a great idea. And the music, so smooth, as always. I don't do any MTB, never did. But I love to watch the Loam Ranger to chill when I take a break.
So happy to see my fav biking UA-camr ripping it up where I live. The reservoir road trail is great man you encompassed everything the big has to offer.
Awesome, I was waiting for this video, I saw you and your family on the Sunday morning while I was buying a lift pass, I regret not saying hello. I thought I might catch you on the lift line but theyre so short in whitefish! hope you had a great time! it was my first time there with my family and I have already planned a trip back in august, fantastic mountain for all skill levels! thanks for all your videos! love them!
Originally from Alberta but now live in this area...and yeah it rocks! There are a lot more trails around that are also epic. I love showing people Montana trails -and they are never crowded!
I love Whitefish for snowboarding. So I hopped on to see if there were any good videos on the Whitefish (Big Mountain) Park, and was super stoked to see you pop up! Welcome to Montana! \m/
I've got a 3yo little shredder myself, can't wait until we hit some Bikeparks together! Enjoying the pump tracks and easy trails for now. Very inspiring to see you share your passion with your family. Also got the same coffee mill you were grinding your beans with n
Great video. There’s definitely a lot of trails there you left out which I’m sure you know. Zeppelin is a true jump trail and runaway train is the coolest flow/tech trail ever
I have some family in the states and they were telling me about 'Post Canyon' in Oregon. They have some incredible flow trails over there, worth a look
You should come visit Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula some time. It's in the north-most part of the Upper Peninsula. There are four solid trail networks within an hour drive, and the trails in Copper Harbor are phenomenal! Another bonus: Three of the four trail systems, including Copper Harbor, are free to ride. The small yooper towns are great to experience, too.
Super awesome trails man. love that dudes commute from work. wish my commute was like that. 40km one way would be awesome if it had that type of home time. Thanks for the adventure!!
@@TheLoamRangerYep. Of course, spraining my ankle while snowboarding and the pain not fully setting in until I was back at the top really drove the point home about, "Are you really OK or are you adrenaline OK?"
Bonsai is dope AF. I can’t explain how relaxing it was after 10 days in a tent with two kids and a dog to find a place where we could let the kids and dog run free while we drank beers!
Sorry, but.... I TOLD YOU RYAN!! Hahahaha! Glad y'all had a good time. If you wanna venture further south into Montana or Northern Wyoming hit me up. Also, yes, TONS of tech in Mt, and the trails, even at parks, tend to be fairly narrow. One reason I'm looking forward to my whistler trip in September is the WIDE forgiving nature of the jump trails (compared to Mt anyway). Cheers.
Looks like a hoot. I'm looking at a place to buy a summer home away from Texas. Never knew this type of stuff existed. My son and I ride motorcross together and this looks like something we need to add on to our list of activities.
You're right. That does look absolutely beautiful. What a great time to be a mountain biker! We seem to have an ever increasing wealth of great places to ride. The technology constantly improves. Modern mountain bikes are amazing. And the UA-cam community just keeps getting better and better. There is a mounting pile of evidence that would indicate we are all being completely spoiled rotten. LOL. Thanks for the nice vid. The Adventure Continues....
Anybody els just binge watch biking videos when they are injured? Only makes me wanna get out more lol! Great vid as always Ryan, but it doesn't seem like there is too many trails in that park? Compared to other mountains in BC.
Jared Gulaga I hear ya! You’ll be back on the bike in no time. They have a bunch of trails, but only a handful right from the top and their main tech trail was closed while I was there. So if we wanted to get the upper mountain views, we only had a few options. Lower down it splits off into a ton of rad trails, so there’s plenty to choose from!
Great video! My family and I are visiting Whitefish in a couple weeks. What trails did you hit with your boys? I have two 9-year-old shredders that want to ride the Big Mountain.
@@TheLoamRanger Always! Thx bro. A pleasure to watch. I definitely place you alongside a few others here in the whole YT #MTB Pantheon. Ride on fam ;)👍🔥
Philip Wächter if you lube your hub really thoroughly and have a mic that only picks up what’s in front of it is unnoticeable on video. My hub is pretty quiet as well with that method.
Dang.. I have some video from their opening day I haven't put together. Nice bike park. My 2 boys live there and gives me a reason to go visit them.. or they give me a reason to go visit the bike park!
Hugos Mtb my guess is that they approached him so as to get a presence in his videos. For you, depending on how your results are, you can apply to some bike manufacturers through their websites. Unless you’re getting consistent high placings at national events, you’ll probably have to start with a smaller sponsor like a local apparel business before you develop the following or results to make it worthwhile for the frame manufacturers to sponsor you and give you discounts and free stuff.
I visited Glacier NP last summer. The air was pretty smoky from all the wildfires, but it was still SO beautiful up there! Here's my favorite pic from that trip: instagram.com/p/BvDgt_mlOVO/?
The fact that you have your kiddos riding with you is amazing. My wife and I have a 6 month old right now and every day I think, it's another day closer till him and I can send it down the trails together. Great video!
It'll happen sooner than you think! Cheers Robert
Man, I still can't believe I was hiking all around that. Had a good idea that there was some pretty sweet trails, but that is unreal.
You really screwed up on that one Joe. :)
I believe this is Montana...because that's where I'm from lol. Whitefish Mountain Resort will always be Big Mountain to me.
Facts 😂😂
Haha lucky!
Yup! And you can see the ski trails on Big Mountain when you're in the Flathead valley, which I find helpful as a point of reference if you on which direction you are looking!
Yup. Not whitefish mountain, def big mountain
It’s definitely big mountain
You may not see this, but next time you're in Montana definitely try out Discovery Bike Park. Its close to Phillipsburg and has awesome wood features and jumps. Ride on!🤘
My family lives a few miles from here....make sure you go to Blacktail Mountain and hit the mountain bike trail there....epic ride.
Agreed. I live in kalispell. We have a lot of amazing places to ride.
I’ll put that one the list! Thanks
Don’t ski at black tail it sucks
INFANTE GAMING I've never downhill skiid there....only cross country a million years ago before they made it into whatever it is today....cross country was awesome!

Thanks! That would be a blast. Eric and I have done a few rides/videos together but hey, we’re always up for more!

I agree.. she has progressed super fast and she is already riding faster than me which is.. well life is😀
Keep up the good vids Ryan
My daughter lives just outside in Columbia Falls. I had no idea WF had this.
Thanks man! More reasons to visit her now!
Scott Elder nice!
Looks awesome! I am enjoying seeing Beth rip it all the time now!
No Front Brakes she’s really been killing it this year. It’s so cool to see where she’s at on the bike and on camera 🤘🏼🤘🏼

AFugax that’s what I hear! Next time we’re there we plan on hitting up some of the trails outside the park.
That's where I go skiing. So cool to see it in a different light and perspective. Epic video!
Ya it’s always so crazy to see a mountain you know well, but during a totally different season. Cheers Michael!
Best mtb channel out there man keep it up
Awesome stuff. Great that your family rides with you
I could not believe how cool this video was. Thanks for sharing this.
Great video man! Thanks for capturing this place!
Love the whole Montana movement to mountain biking. Hard working people bringing fun to big country. 👍
It’s awesome! So cool to see. They’ve got incredible terrain, so it was only a matter of time (and hard work).
Glad you enjoyed your time here. Keith's a good dude, and a shredder on snow as well.
I love Whitefish for snowboarding. So I hopped on to see if there were any good videos on the Whitefish (Big Mountain) Park, and was super stoked to see you pop up!

Nice! Ya we're definitely getting back there to ride again. I hear it's pretty rad in the winter too!

I like how you're so concerned for other people's well being when they wipe out, you're a good person and a good rider.
Alex cheers man! Gotta look out for each other in those situations.
Thanks for posting this. Literally just heard about this trail today!
Loved this video! Adding whitefish to my list!
Joshua Bray it’s fantastic. I ski there every year because the resort is amazing. Extremely good atmosphere and the town is also very inviting.
Great edit! Cool vibe 👊🏻👍🏻

It looks super nice down there!
