I just found chronic encephalomalacia on my 2017 CT tests and extreme encephalomalacia on my MRI from 2022. Do these things prove my disability? I have an almost 17 yr old son and trying to figure out what my lifespan may be. I have had brain tumor surgeries as a child, domestic violence without records survivor, complex PTSD and anxiety and panic attacks, and ober the last several years I can't take care of myself like I used to could and have issues with my moods and behaviors and aome executive function. I don't know what to do. You guys are the first ones that make any sense out of my research.
im in the process of being diagnosed im an ex professional athlete having played professional football and professional rugby league in the UK. Difficult and worrying times
all nutrients cross the blood brain barrier...there really isn't that much research on C/AM...i suspect that academic research from journals by nutritionists or sports medicine may have some information on this specific topic or naturopathic medicine journals...unfortunately that is outside my scope of knowledge and would encourage you to search for peer-reviewed research in these fields. We here do not wish to mislead and all of our medical specialists practice allopathic medicine, so its a bit out of our scope generally.
Great informative discussion of NINDS Consensus Diagnostic Criteria for Traumatic Encephalopathy Syndrome. Will pass this along.
