    The "food for thought" after the 90-second anatomical forearm rabbit hole sent me, this is why I come here! :D

    Great 1st vid, excited to see what's next!
    Is there an RIR/RPE progression or are you working to technical failure points on all exercises throughout this training block?

    How do you know when you've warmed up enough to get your serratus anterior firing? I feel like I could sit around doing protraction pushups like the ones you did in the video for several sets and not feel it turn on

    What context does this series fit into? Is the goal purely hypertrophy for the purposes of being as large as possible or is this perhaps hypertrophy in order to perform better at a specific sport?
    Thanks, and really looking forward to the rest of the series!

      Purely Hypertrophy for now! My sporting days are behind me!

    Can you elaborate on the warmup point made during the press? Is it just to reduce fatigue?

    • @Themuscledoc
      @Themuscledoc  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah man, a lot of people cut into their potential for working volume by expending too much energy on warm-up reps that arent needed

    Bicep tendon strain? hurts like hell when pressing with elevated scap, burns when doing anything hunerous behind midline, any thoyghts/ help Doc?

    • @Themuscledoc
      @Themuscledoc  3 роки тому

      Whats your warm-up look like and are you pressing in the neutral scapular plane?

    • @17jnewman
      @17jnewman 3 роки тому

      @@Themuscledoc warm up is 2-3×15 external rotator cuff with cable. Internal same. Pyramid in weight over 2 sets, 3rd set is working weight. I have an old tear in the right shoulder that is giving me issues. Scapular depression through the press is tough to maintain. Also just curling db with occlusion bands burnt on the tendon itself and radiated down bicep. So Im thinking bicep tendon strain? Tendonitis? But supinated front raise test doesnt bother it

      @17jnewman 3 роки тому

      @@Themuscledoc also click and physical pop at about 3/4 of the way through the press, regardless of how retraced scap is. But seems to clear with SERIOUS lat actovation and scap depression...?
