Hey, I'm the guy who makes the graphics/levels/designs for Midas Machine, and I wanted to say that I'm glad that you liked it. First off, don't worry, it wasn't cancelled, the issue is that theres only like... two people working on it, so it's taken a while. We are getting closer to finishing it though. One thing that is holding us back right now is music. We have some awesome people making songs, but the list is rather hefty (So if anyone out there can make music and wants to contribute...)
Is it cancelled now, just wondering, did a little research and found a page saying it was not released after yet another year but it didn’t specify a date when the last page update was.
@@SuperDestroyerFox Yeah as this point it's cancelled unfortunately. Other people on the team had IRL stuff come up and eventually it was just me, and then my laptop with all the graphics died, so most of the stuff for it is gone I'm afraid.

For some reason, I've always thought it would be very interesting if there was a videogame in which Yoshi had to go on an adventure without Mario and Luigi (like, maybe they're too busy with the Toads, Koopa Troopas and Peach), and Yoshi's companions for some reason end up being Wario and Waluigi instead. A sort of hypothetical "dump them together and see what happens" scenario is the basic idea - and the three have to journey together alone and make it work. Anyway, this idea amuses me and I think it would make a cool game.
psycho waluigi seems like it would benefit from a twin stick mechanic of sorts on a controller

My favorite Waluigi game is Waluigi's Taco Stand.
"I don't know what it is with most ROM hacks, but they are made to be the most infuriating games ever created."
That's because cranking up the difficulty is a cheap substitute for level design, like grossout humor is a cheap substitute for comedy.
After all, most of those developers don't realize that there's an art to making a game challenging. It's tricky to balance fun and challenge while maintaining an extremely hard obstacle for the player to overcome, and a lot of people who try to make games hard just for the sake of being hard don't understand how that balance works.
Actually, it's because they don't know how to make actually difficult and fair levels, and think just making the level kill players over and over again counts as difficulty
I think that they are just trying to make a game but arent the best at it, resulting in bad or even unusable controls and/ or bad level design. This might happen due to inexperience.

Yeah, they haven't released any new demos since 2014, but development is still going strong. There's a whole thread about it on MFGG forums.

I've genuinely never understood why Nintendo doesn't include Wario and especially Waluigi into more Mario (or Paper Mario) games to give them some stronger characterization. Waluigi has been around for what? 15-plus years now and he still has no real character traits? I'd really love to see a Mario game where Bowser fucked with both pairs and then they both want revenge and reluctantly work together. Seems such a waste for Walu to exist if they never do anything with him.
A "Paper Wario" game could also be a good chance to further characterize them since it would inherently allow for more dialogue. Not to mention could also be a fun way to add some freshness to the Paper series by seeing things from a nw perspective.

Waluigi isn't a villain. Straight out, he is just some guy that Wario knows who enjoys playing games.
The truth is, we still don't really know what Walu is; and that's the problem.
I think it would be a cool idea to add Wario and Waluigi to a Mario & Luigi title, utilizing a control scheme similar to Partners in Time.
We still need to see a game off of Luigi's adventures in the background of Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door, though.

i remember when i was a little kid, i was always having my aunt download and play flash games with me, and like i still do today, i loved me some mario. and we would always play flash mario games, and there would be these ones called: luigi's adventure, wario's kooky kwest, etc, and this one game, with waluigi, is what introduced me to him. he looked like the other plumber bros, as it was 2d, but years later, when i was reintroduced to the character, in 3d, i was scared shitless.
he looked weird, almost demonic to me. i was soooo creeped out that i played as this guy as a kid.
