- The MAC (Military Armament Corporation) 9 DS is the BEST 2011 that I’ve seen for the money. could it be better than Stacatto?? Better than the Springfield Prodigy in my opinion. I have a Gideon Optic Omega Red Dot on it. Might put the Holosun 507comp red dot on it later on. It is chambered in 9mm and might soon be my EDC (every day carry) for 2024

The mags are made by checkmate for Tisas. The grip is pretty blah, but you can change it. The Phoenix Trinity hero grip fits it, but I used a MJD Solutions villain grip. Any standard 2011 metal grip should work just fine, with some fitting.

Are you running yours with the stock recoil spring, or did you put a lighter one in? If so, what pound spring did you go with? I have one of these and absolutely love it. I went down to an 8lb spring, but that's too light, so I'll go back to a 9lb spring which I had before with no issues.

Being a Glock fan, the polymer grip module shouldn't bother you. I've been carrying a 23 since 2000ish, or my pimped out Taurus 38 Super, but i picked up a Mac 9 recently...annnnnd duuuuude does it feel sweet in the hand. Picked up a Girsan 2311 when i was shopping....felt like a prickly Lego. You wanna feel something BAD, go pick that shit up. ATM it's set up with 507c and a PL-Turbo...i know i know, we'll see if the light yeets down range. 😂😂 Great video.🇺🇸👍🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸

Just got one of these Mac 9’s but how do you adjust the trigger, i see a screw head in the trigger but i believe that’s just for travel not for trigger weight
Idk I believe it’s just changing the trigger and sear springs. But they did if for me
you have to tune the sear spring but you can also polish the trigger bar/shoe.. not hard to do, you can find a vid on youtube and walk thru it

yeah.... that factory stippling is as bad as the original Stacatto grips. Hoping they update that. In the mean time, I'll swap out the grip for a stippled one from Dark Side Precision.

As it comes, the sights are not spec’d correctly. It DOES NOT co-witness with a RMR or a HS507. Also, once broken in, the slide to frame fit is very sloppy (for a 2011). There is no way it comes with a 3.5 lb. trigger break weight. It is more like 5-6 lbs. Also, there is definitely over travel. On a 2011 you have to pinch the trigger and slowly push it back, stopping once it breaks, then you can clearly see there is a fair amount of over travel (again, for a 2011). Disconnector is a bit rough out of the box causing a little bit of snagging when racking the slide and benefits from a 1000 grit sanding followed by a polish. Safety is way oversprung. A $3 reduced power mag release spring fixes that. Other than that, it is a great starter 2011.

my mac never had any problems with snaging in the disconector and has the same slide to frame fit as when new 2k rounds new and my mac has no over travel its right at the wall no modifications other than the 10lb recoil an a buffer mad for it

So what plate adapter are you using to use RMR sights?
No, not better than a Staccato P. It's a good gun and good for carry. You should not have to carry a second magazine. Lube it and you are good to go. There is a learning curve if all you have are striker-fired pistols. I carry a Sig P226 and a Smith 10mm. I do not own a Glock and could not imagine using a Glock for competition. I use Tanfoglio.
No one makes holsters for it.
If it wasn’t so expensive I would love to get one. But that one is beautiful I like it.
Tisas 1911 DS 5 inch (Duty) 4.25 inch (Carry) and Night Stalker 5.5 inch threaded, are all cheaper and made in the same place.
