    Thank you so much, Jess, for this! I was wondering if you could video when using some of these on your clients? I just want to see the exact (or similar) "problems" you can help with, when using them, really! Thank you so much! 🤗🤗🤗

    Thanks Jess, very similar to me - I absolutely love ceramic burs and only use the diamond bur for finishing now. I sometimes use the small ball bur after I’ve enucleated an HD to finish off. I’ve just bought an umbrella bur so looking forward to using it 😊

      My friend uses the ball bur to enucl. HD's. Haven't tried it yet though as I have the small gouge blades to use up. There arenso many burs with different ways of using them x x

    Brilliant 👏 Thank you
    Can I just ask would you have to have done a course for fenestration, to use the 52 bur ? It wasn't covered at my training 😕 xx

      Fenestration was taught to us on our clinical training. There is the Lucuna method which is a course offered. X x

    Wow, I'm impressed by your preference for ceramic! I barely ever reach for my ceramic bits. I may have to try them out a bit more!

      I love a good bur/bit 😀 ceramics are good for really thick nails as it has reduced heat and less dust in comparison to a carbide or diamond bur/bit x x

    Thank you, Jess, I just passed my diploma Starting in April (I got to get all the equipment to go mobile.) Thinking of getting a melodySusie nail drill (Like the one you use) Please can you tell me where to buy nail burs from and do all burs fit the melodySusie? So much to think of Jess. So good to have found you here, Thank you x

      Hey lovely and congratulations of passing. There are a huge amount of Burr types so unable to say if they'll all fit. Sayingbyhat I've not had a bur that doesn't fit the melody suzie.
      Regarding where to purchase, I have a list of podiatry suppliers in the UK. They all sell them. Here is the link: notapod.co.uk/podiatry-suppliers

    Hi Jess, I'm shopping for new burs. Do you still love the umbrella bur? Also, do you still find the Hadewe Catch basin useful?

    • @notapod1
      @notapod1  Рік тому

      yes i reach for my umbrella bur every now and then depending on the foot. Do you mean the debris tray (as Ive never had a hadewe catch basin). I now only use puppy pads to catch everything which I place on the floor. easy to clean up after x x

    Hello Jess, how many of these Burs should you have. I mean, if you visit say, 6 clients a day, would you need to make sure you had 6 of each bur in case you need to use them with each client.

    • @notapod1
      @notapod1  Рік тому

      I have 3 burs in a pack, these are the ones I go for most of the time, so for me, a barrel bur, needle bur and a diamond bur. I don't use burs on all my clients btw. The rest I put in individual bags and use as and when I need it. I have extra needle burs, and diamond burs that are packed individually. I have 6+ of each (not the Tungsten or diamond taper as I prefer the ceramic burs) x

    Thanks Jess. What is the brand name of the umbrella bur you use? Couldn't find it at Chiropody Express.

      The umbrella bur is a PBS bur. Here is the link www.chiropody-express.com/premier/premier-p-b-s-diamond-burs/1222
