NO! SEAN DIES! JTR SUX!!! “Jaws 3D” is better, Sean lives…
Maybe im being too dramatic but i sorta compare Han Solo’s death in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and Luke and Leah’s death in the other 2 to Sean’s death in JTR. But JTR thing was a little more a slap in the face because there was no need for it. If this is what plot called for then JTR should never have been made. But the MAIN thing is, the girl Marge gave her own life to save Sean’s in J2, then his dramatic rescue? Tell me you can watch that and then watch his death in JTR and not be pissed off 😡 That’s my 2 cents. ✌🏻❤️

@@derekroberts6654 You've put into words what my mind's been vaguely uncomfortable about for years. BTW I've always thought that Marge's bucket scene is the most impactful in the whole film. The character had no time to process her actions and the "I can't get up..." still gets me.

Critics are the last word-largely they always get it WRONG whenever they review a film or record. 'Jaws 2', along with all its copious high-points, showcases to ALL slasher makers-and many other horror subgenres, how to expertly put a bunch of charismatic and interesting teens which are all highly impressive to spend time with and don't showcase any of the disparaging wealth of shortcomings that virtually all slasher 'characters' display. No one was strutting about trying to be the alpha male in a tiresome and risible way, or an utter bitch, and they cared about each other. Top it all off you didn't know how would live or die, and unlike all slasher crap (and others), far more survive to the end than you'd expect. And this is fine because almost all are likeable. And Brooke (character) is cool, no unnecessary screaming and seemed really tough and caring also, and no unnecessary complaining about the situation. Great stuff.

The reunion idea for the fifth film would be so fun…only practical effects… bring everybody who is alive back…even the people who died in original just cast in different part…have Keith Gordan direct… keep budget in control…it would bank big….

What caught my attention during my recent watch of JAWS 2 was where Shawn actually tied what may had been a Sheepshank when he finally grabbed the rope from the cap-sided boat. 👍

I know I am in the minority but I completely agree with the interviewer about the beginning of Jaws the revenge. Obviously Jaws the revenge is a bad film we all know this and I'm not one of the people that rags on others for liking it. It has the nostalgia factor for me because it was one of the first Jaws movies I watched and it's one of those movies that's fun to watch even though it's bad. But I completely agree with the statement that the first 15 minutes or so of Jaws the revenge being quite good. It had an excellent opening sequence it had the cheerfulness of Christmas mixed with the absolute terror of Sean's death. Bouncing back and forth between him screaming in terror and the Christmas carols was awesome. They also had the cameos from characters from the original. Up until the point they go to the Bahamas I really really enjoyed Jaws the revenge personally what I would have liked to see if I could have made the film, is keep the beginning of the same, but instead of going to the Bahamas have Michael come to Amity and stay there with his family and have Hooper come back to help Michael and Ellen kill the shark. I think that story would have been one that people would have actually enjoyed.

Jaws 2 was by no means the first sequel, as True Grit and Godfather already had sequels (Rooster Cogburn and Godfather II) and Rocky and Star Wars were working on their second movies at this time, so it was a trend that would carry on to tidal wave proportions with Star Wars, Jaws, Indiana Jones, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elmstreet, Rocky, Back to the Future, and so many more titles getting multiple sequels. But it was certainly one of the first major movies to get one.

Movies back then were absolutely magical in storytelling and scope. The beautiful scores were final icing on the cake 🎂. There's no magic or inspiration anymore 😢, seems to be all political and personal agendas and corporate profit. I've noticed that most movie scores sound very generic with "NO" hearts or emotions. I really want to bringing the back those types of movies that I grew up with ever since I was toddler and younger ages in 2000s era with more "Absolutely Magical", "Storytelling" and "Scope". Even more "Heart and Emotion". There totally needs to be a time when humans really need to make a "True" animated movie that touched the soul and heart of the viewers of all ages. Somebody hand-drawn and computer animation, it's not just the movies, TV shows as well for all ages on Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, and the Walt Disney company needs to take there place in the circle of animations shows and movies for everyone. I hope sometimes in the future, My family would see the newspaper or different articles on the internet of their own cellphones 📱 about I finally got my dream job as "Ian Cassidy save the Walt Disney Company for bringing the 2-D animated style in order pay homage and tribute to past Disney's 2-D animated style movies were made in old glory days". "Ian Cassidy made his promise to have more Magic and/or Inspiration from 2-D animated movies from Disney."Walt Disney Company made an agreement with Ian Cassidy to have Disney's 2-D animated style movies to have music to be more Heart and Emotion with Absolutely Magical, Storytelling and Scope as well". "The Walt Disney Company celebrated Ian Cassidy's birthday party for being our Savior of bringing the old school Disney 2-D animated style movies." I'm thinking Disney stuff never meant always for kids, it's for everyone, mostly adults, back in the day, same with Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry, unlike nowadays. Everything is for kids and family. Movies back then taught us about the importance of friendship, loyalty, kindness, compassion, determination, etc. A lot of movies do that, but there are still some good ones. The main ones that are awful to me are intentionally bad just for money, a cash grab. 😒 Cause The old Disney movies were so awesome. I had a little dark things that you don't see now those days in Disney movies. Movies still have an important message, though, but the movies are too sweet. There's a video Looney Tunes that they are soft and not that dangerous silliness we know. Because it's saver for the kids? I mean I can understand kids now those days are misunderstanding and would do anything for likes and views but making the cartoons soft won't change the fact that they grow up to be misunderstood, they become uncaring anyways because of the internet. People became too soft, with real snowflakes. Wow, I really missed the good old days when Cartoons were good. Today, it's a quick cash grab, with the use of effects and big names in the movies. I love the storytelling part, the sending a message to the audience, that's what should be, the soul and heart needs to come back in films and Hollywood became too powerful, meaning they can get away with making bad movies. Back then, movies had individualist them. Today, it's about ideas like social justice and feminism. Those ideas take away from the true hero's journey and make it difficult to identify with the characters. This is the reason so many people nowadays just stick with the older movies, and the ones grew up with them because that's precisely what those kinds of movies did for them. They were heartfelt, funny, for all the ages, full of value, and are consistently good every time you watch them. While one of the purposes was the company to make money, they still wanted to deliver a quality product to the viewers, and it feels like they've lost that. We took for granted 💔 how well animated movies in the 1990s and 2000s were, outside the animation being revolutionary for its time, the writing was also well written that even being 30. I can still watch movies like Ice Age (2002) and actually enjoy them. Yes, and a lot have avoided those powerful, morally complex stories in favor of something safer. Sure, the effects look amazing, but the heart isn't there anymore, The Toy Story series is an exception because all fours are capable of rivaling each other. Who says that Disney movies are just for kids? Adults can watch it as well, They have some life lessons which apply to both kids and adults. For example, what do we learn from The Little Mermaid, from my perspective, that movie learned us that never sell yourself to an evil person, also if the deal is bad, don't take it. What about Cinderella? It taught us that dreams can come true and that no matter with circumstances, they are always good and kind. What about Pocahontas? Love conquer all, and one must find their own way, other movies that have powerful messages, and excellent music. Nowadays, everything must be political ,which is sad and heartbreaking 💔. I definitely want to bring it back for my dream job in the future. Movies today are made to appeal to as wide an audience as possible and make as much money as possible. Back in the day, while profit and marketability were important, producers and directors had more freedom to be creative and make movies that were original, innovative, and memorable. People think it's all nostalgia goggles and being unfair to modern movies, but no. It's all the value and quality of the movies back then, the delivery, lessons, everything all that is gone nowadays. Technology creates the story these days, not the soul of the writer. Like how back in the old good days, we didn't over-analyze anything. We just sat back and enjoyed stuff. 😉 Animated movies are not like what they once were. The effort, the details, and the passion just aren't there anymore in modern animated movies, really sad. Movies nowadays are made by algorithms, not people. Today's cartoons don't have as many good, fun, and exciting masterpieces as the old cartoons. Too political... everything has to have "a message"... and the sense of pure fun is missing. I also find alot of movies nowadays try to be comedy's with over the top cringey dialogue and try way to hard to be funny, Not everybody wants to be laughing throughout the entirety of the movie (Or so they expect us to be laughing). It seriously is heartbreaking to see all that hard work and time people put into a film only for it to be completely thrown out near the end because studio executives lost faith in it. I can't imagine how frustrating that is. We don't want or need a joke every two seconds. Just give us a movie where the serious scenes don't get ruined by an out of place joke. That's not how movies should be made. Technology is supposed to simplify our lives and should not mean taking responsibilities away from us altogether. Box Office movies nowadays wouldn't even hold a candle even to a classic cartoon like This (The Land Before Time) in terms of depth and feel. Those big hits feel like they are just watched because of their name brand, not because of the quality itself at all. Once you watch them, they make you feel like you just wasted your time leading up to it and the huge money of it, too. That's why I feel like a winner when I don't watch the movies of this decade or even the past decade.

I believe that the sequel Jaws II would've benefited from adding two up and coming performers of the late 1970's.
Wolfe Perry and as his opposite, Irene Cara.
This addition would coincide with the Benchley novel's storyline which described the history of a small but significant population on Amity Island who were the descendants of the "Freemen"
But mostly I think that their casting would've widened the interest as well as opened up the story of Amity's history that's in the novel.

I’d love to see Mark Gruner (Mike Brody) interviewed. He seems to have vanished from acting after “Jaws 2.” A fun bit of trivia for any Bradyphiles out there: in a Season 2 episode of “The Brady Bunch,” Mark plays the object of Jan’s affection, “dreamy” Clark Tyson, who goes ga-ga for Marcia instead, forcing Jan to invent an imaginary boyfriend named George Glass. 😂

However not to be overly critical, it would be the grandchildren of the Jaws II's cast.
(We're of the same generation, Gigi)
I think that would be better anyway because of the strong bond that I had with my own grandparents.

    I guess she’s a bit hard to get to…
I once had a fantasy about these kids but instead of partying on the oceans of Amity, they’d wonder off to Isla Nublar, where they meet up with a T. rex and raptors but also gentle giant brontosauruses and other dino-creatures…
I totally agree with her on the first 2 “Jaws” films. I always firmly and personally believed “Jaws” belongs in the 70s… NO OTHER DECADE! You put them in the 80s look what happened… it just did not work. “Jaws” is strictly a 70s thing!

He did a movie called SORCERER. He was going to be in The Deer Hunter, but backed out. He DID NOT want to make Jaws 2. But the studio wanted him back. So they agreed
if he did JAWS 2 they would count that One movie as TWO and that would fulfill his Contract.
