I always loved Jeff Kramer and his character of Deputy Hendricks too. Hendricks is a well-meaning, lovable sort of buffoon. When Brody is fired, Hendricks is promoted to Chief of Police and says to Brody "Not only don't I want your job, but I came here to tell you that I think you're the greatest", it breaks my heart.

Most folks voice changes significantly in a 45-50 year window. When I listened to the audio only for a few minutes (just to focus on his voice) I didn't notice much of a difference in Jeffrey Kramer's voice in 2023 as it sounded in 1975 & 78.
I really love that you not only created this channel but also being able to locate some of the cast from part 2 and put together a series of interviews for us. So, so awesome. Many people, including myself, have been wondering what these once young actors have been up to all these years.
    Thank you so much

Deputy Hendrix is definitely one of the best costars of any film series. He is so relatable and likable that he is an indelible part of the Jaws saga. On a sidenote, my parents took me and my older brother to see Jaws at a drive-in, theater, 1975. They had never seen it but heard about it and we all went as a family. It is the first film I remember seeing and it is still my favorite film of all time. I was five years old.

He nailed it! Hendricks IS the common Everyman, the person who shows up everyday to work, does the best he can, and respects those around him. What a classy actor!

I really like how in the scene at Brody's house after he's fired, both of the Brody's call him "Jeff", not "Lenny" or "Hendricks"; until after he leaves and Brody says "poor Hendricks..."

There’s two ideas I have both prequels. The first one would be about really exploring Chief Brody’s fear of the water and what happened with Martin Brody before moving to Amity Island and becoming Police Chief. The other idea would be before Brody moves to Amity and it would be about the mayor trying to cover up people being attacked by a shark because I’ve always wondered if there has been previous shark attacks that the mayor was trying to hide in the jaws film.

My wife and I bumped into Jeff on Martha's Vineyard years ago when he was there for a book signing. 1. I got a cracking photo of myself with Jeff, taken by my wife. 2. Jeff went out of his way to give me a signed still from Jaws complete with a personal message.
I have to say hand on heart, Jeff Kramer is one hell of a nice bloke... Considering we only crossed paths a few times over a couple of days on the island, Jeff made me feel like I'd made a new friend. I asked my wife if I was a bit star struck or something, she said no, Jeff is just such a genuine person you actually feel like you've known him all your life. Much Love and Health to Jeff.

Jeff is such a wonderful guy. He is part of the Jaws mystique. Part of that chemistry that made the film so memorable. Even though his part was not huge he really stands out. You remember him. The famous wave when Brody tosses the rocks at the window. The memorable opening scene where he finds the remains of the first victim. That image has almost become like an Andy Warhol painting.

Hendricks was such a fun character and really made an impact on the first two films. My pitch for Jaws 5 > Hendricks, now chief of police, faces a similar terror that his predecessor dealt with. A few familiar faces return... Michael Brody, Ellen Brody and a few of the kids from Jaws 2. And you can't do it without Mrs. Taft. That wouldn't be funny at all.

I read somewhere it was because Len/Lenny was already the name of the Peterson the businessman on the select committee and they didn’t want to confuse things. Hendricks wasn’t initially cast so they just went with Jeff when he was brought in. Not sure if this was just a cover story for the error though. It would have just been simpler to refer to him as ‘Hendricks’ throughout.

This movie could be remade with the same story but much better if he produces the movie Jaws Remake. he could find somebody that could act the part of Chief Brody real good and find somebody that can act a part of Matt hopper. He could find actors that would act the same just put hard work in it like you did with the original one with a better animatronic shark that looks real

The problem with the second Jaws is that the shark folded its mouth in the part wen they pulled Michael out of the water back into the sailboat when his friends saved his life that part was not so realistic because the great white shark is not going to fold his mouth like that when it opens in a cense they ruined it for the first one the third one the part where the guy gets eaten by the great white shark almost at the end of the movie they show him holding the bomb out of the sharks mouth he was supposed to be in the shark stomach in all the 3 last jaws movies they make mistakes
