I have been so inspired by your channel that i set up a way for my teens to react to videos. I posted their first one today and would love if you would check it out. ua-cam.com/video/q7xhcJKQJx8/v-deo.html
well, he couldn't be a living legend unless he was alive but that aside, Frank now sings for GOD. Can you say GOD is a lucky bastard? but he or she is.....
This song will always remind me of my grandfather. Whenever the song was on we had to stop and dance. It became a tradition to play at every wedding. He's been gone since 2016 but thanks for bringing a happy memory of him!
Just showed my 82 year old mum this video. She loved it!! and she loves you!! She would like me to congratulate you on your achievements and keep up the great work. I would like to suggest some Australian artists to react to - Horses by Daryl Braithwaite All Out of Love by Air Supply Mean to Me by Crowed House (they’re original from New Zealand, however, made it big in Australia) Take care and keep on bangin’
It's up to you all you NYers fleeing for the suburbs to get back here soon and help rebuild this great city. This time we need to be a better, more equitable city, and perhaps a calmer place where music has always been a regular presence in the subways, the parks, the street corners and the clubs -- giving relief to the quick paced life. Despite the stresses, NY inspires. This song, New York, New York was not written in a suburb -- it was written in the songwriters' nyc apt, where many a great song has been written. Ultimately it's the people who have given nyc it engine. Most of us are toughing it out, supporting the city in whatever ways we can to keep it afloat until there is a vaccine. Help us reimagine nyc in the a new light and be here to see it's transformation. Thank you.
My Mom is a huge Frankie Fan hence I know every one of his songs. And I'm proud to admit that I did a mean dance to this when I was much younger (never dance-trained).
When the Yankees win, they play Sinatra’s version of this at the end of the game. When they lose, they play Liza Minelli’s version. Both versions are spectacular, BTW.
Being a Yankees fan from California, I FINALLY got the opportunity to hear this version at Yankee stadium 😊 Cant wait to visit New York again! Much love from, California.
When I was a kid I felt like songs like this was sharing the world with how great my city is. There is no other place quite like New York City, absolutely nothing. ❤️🌃💪
I can still visualize the album covers, that my parents had, sitting next to the stereo. I used to study them and read all the info. So fascinating ,as a child!!🎶🎶🎶
This is SUCH a famous Song, used in New Years Eve in the City.. Firework Displays.. 9/11... It just has so much passion to it, wanting to be a part of it, the big city and he IS number one and he did make it BIG and he will FOREVER NOT BE FORGOTTEN. 💜💜💜
My grandfather was his favorite waiter at a hotel restaurant in Hollywood. He'd be shacked up with Elizabeth Taylor and he'd request my grandfather specifically to bring up his food when he wanted it in his room.
Since you are from near Chicago, Mr. Sinatra had another classic about the city called "My Kind of Town". I highly suggest it! Frank Sinatra is indeed a great!
Hey man, you should listen the same song (New York, New York) performed by Liza Minelli. She's another great voice from the same time of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. ❤️
So glad you reacted to this song! If it sounds familiar, it's because they play it in Times Square EVERY New Year's Eve, once the ball has dropped. It's the first thing you hear in the New Year, and it's always great. Full disclosure: My cousin Fred Ebb wrote the lyrics to this song, and I'm proud of him every time I hear it... taking nothing away from Frank, of course. He didn't originate the song (Liza Minnelli did, in the movie of the same name), but he put it on the map.
Irish parents, I grew up listening to Ray Conniff, Eddie Duchin, Herb Alpert and Prez Prado, I'll be on the lookout for your REACTION guys. Love your vibe, keep it strong!
When this song hit the radio, it seems everyone in Brooklyn, and in Manhattan, were blasting this song out from their cars. Including me, I loved it!!!
Frank Sinatra and others with his style are known as Crooners (primarily male singers of jazz standards usually accompanied by full orchestra, a big band, or piano"
Right after 9-11 my buddies and I were at our favorite little bar escaping the news and all that happened, this song was the closing time song, everybody in that bar was singing New York-New York in unison.
He was a black rights activist back in the day. He would refuse to play or stay in places that would discriminate against black people. He did so much more than that. One of the greats. It's good to see how much you enjoy his music. 😊
Your reactions are priceless. Your appreciation of music is a breath of fresh year. Frank Sinatra: Listen to The Lady’s a Tramp and I Get a Kick Out of You👍🏼
Thanks - this is one of my favorite Sinatra songs. The other is My Kind of Town which is about Chicago. I've seen Bears jerseys on your show. :) Hope that's on your list!
Frank is the man! Even in death. Jersey boy, too! Do you know 'I Thought About You,' or 'The Same Old Song & Dance?' Honestly, you could go on and on with Frank. He dominated decades with his music.
@TwinsthenewTrend - As a native NY'er who's been living in Seattle for almost 20 years, in light of our current "zombie apocalypse", I might have to move back and this video just made me cry for what my hometown has just been through this year. I saw the change in my city first hand after 9/11 but I can only imagine the broken spirit that I'm going back to. I'm so afraid my heart is going to be broken seeing it up close. This video gave me hope, so thank you. 🙏🏼 "If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere..." -Frank Sinatra

Man... life is worth putting up with just for the music.
They play this in Times Square on New Year's Eve after the ball drops. You should check out a video of it and here the crowd singing along.
After the Yankees win too
"Fly Me To The Moon" would make a cool encore, if you're interested.
Another vote for listening to "Flay Me to the Moon" please
He did Fly Me To The Moon last year. Check the older videos. He's done quite a few Sinatra songs.
He did that already
The orchestra arrangement is one of the best
I am a New Yorker born and raised in Brooklyn. Grew up in a glamorous time with excitement and lot's of heart and soul!!!!!!!
In a former lifetime, I think that you were part of the crowd of teenagers who packed the Paramount Theater in Brookline when he was live in concert.
Kid, I love you! Watching your reactions makes my days!

He's the king.. a number one.. he taught the singers how to sing..
He is old school to me also and I am 75 lol
Now when these younger people HEAR Ms. ALICIA KEYS perform New York New York they'll appreciate it EVEN MORE, SHE ABSOLUTELY KILLS THIS SONG😃😎😍
Check out Tony Bennett "Rags To Riches." He is a contemporary of Frank Sinatra and at the age of 93 is still performing.

You have to see Luciano Pavarotti (opera man) with Lisa Minelli sing this song, its different and awesome too !! @twinsthenewtrend
Sinatra blasts "Chicago" out of the park too; no one sings it better, or can sing it better--Powerhose Voice and Crystal Clear.
My pops favorite song. My DJ at my wedding 22 years ago had to play this for him.

My Kind of Town, Chicago Is.......you must listen to this Frank Sinatra classic!
Listen to some recordings he made in the 1930's with the Tommy Dorsey orchestra, when his voice was fresh and young. No one had a voice like his.
Tommy Dorsey is a pretty good standalone rec too
