"Oh the weather outside is frightful, but your Volvo is so delightful and since you've no place to go, let it Burn, let it Burn, let it burn" ... Happy New Years Chris !
A little bit of a short teaser episode but any Letsdig18 episode is a make my day episode. Can't wait to see Chris really getting in on working this project. I always like his pond rescue projects.
The Pond Water to let off with the Siphon! A fine Idea, better as with the Pumping Station . The Burning from Thicket from this Pond Dam, for You a Routine. Thanks for all Your Fascinate Videos in this Year! I hope You make in the next Year farther. I wisch You and your family a happy New Year 2024 🎉🍀🍄🐞🥂
Watching you burn brush is loads of fun. Thanks for sharing, Chris. A very Happy New Year to you all. Glad you're gonna do something with Justin. You two always make me smile.
Chris, thanks for another year of great video content. Wishing you a safe holiday weekend and a blessed new year filled with peace, prosperity, happiness and good health. Stay safe out there, surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. Cheers.
Nice siphon work for us mob to see. Burning on cold, wet muddy days bit of a drag but work has to be done. Goose neck trailer on the way - great for business and a job with Justin - fun times ahead - looking forward to it.
Thanks for the update. Nice burn for as wet and green as it was. Nice to hear you are looking at more projects and keeping busy. Happy New Year young man, stay safe.
I don’t know why but siphons are just so satisfying. Used to have to rent a pump every few months to pump down this one pond, but I cut a siphon into the sod, set up a suction hand-pump and valve, worked like a charm.
We didn’t see Chris assembling the siphon: I’m assuming there is a check valve (foot valve) on the pond end of the pipe to hold the water in during filling?
Yup check valve in the pond and a hand valve on the downhill side. Fill it up, seal it, and open the downhill valve. Beautiful in its simplicity. My setup was only a 1.5 inch pipe so I could get away with a priming vacuum hand pump to pull enough water up and over the pond dam to start the flow. When the water was low enough it would break suction and automatically stop.
Nope !! Not going to check the pond out today !! lololol... Yep, hard to get moving when it's all funky outside but, it's Winter going to be nasty for a little while yet, before spring gets here !! Great as always Chris, Have a great Evening, And, On too the Next !!
Love watching brush piles get hot! At 1:36 in the video the 'puddle you're referencing' is technically called a "plunge basin". Basins can be any size as required by the pressure and size of the pipe needed for drainage.
Just love watching this man work never gets Boring nor do I feel like fast forwarding un like an other one i watch always fast forwarding that one think you all know the one I am on about Thanks for sharing another days work with us and the burn pile as I just have a thing for burn piles Cheers Chris
To answer the question about Justin, Chris said Justin was the first UA-cam friend Chris ever made. Justin runs his own excavation company and is working with Mr BealyGood (here on UA-cam and one of Chris’s clients) on some new home sites for development. Chris has mentioned in the past they have both been so busy they just can’t find time to get together. He also talked about doing a bridge project with Justin and the 330. For the question about John, Chris said he got so busy he needed to go full time on his own. I think John is still running his company as well, and Chris may help if John has something really big going on, but they are now 2 separate companies.
@@matthewstencel8298wow…why is this any of your business? Do you also make inquiries into what sexual desires that your mom and dad (or grandparents) are into? It seems so out of place and odd that you brought it up here. Regardless, there are many other places to address your need to be engaged in sexual discussions…
Oh yes!! Love the burn vids!!Happy New Year early, in case i get busy! You know, living in NC gives you distinct advantages, weather wise. Other than the occasional swipe from a hurricane, you dont get much really bad weather. No huge snows(deepest one I lived thru, was 1972/73- we got 8 inches in Greensboro and were out of school for a week! Ice storms could be tricky though- i think there was one in 2009 that took out a HUGE tower near Raleigh. So most of the year you can work, in one manner or another.
@@AW-yv9sq Nope. You have that backwards. If the outlet were 2' below it slows significantly as the water level drops. In this setup the outlet is way down there. I've set tens of thousands of tubes in my life.
Chris, I love your videos. A few years ago, an old tree fell across my daughter and her husband’s house, so they decided to demolish it and build a nicer and larger one. The brand new excavator arrived with an independent operator and he let me and my son-in-law operate it! I got perhaps 30 min at the controls and had a blast! Of course, I had to think through each movement, unlike you, who controls your equipment like you’re conducting an orchestra!
Very nice to hear Justin's name again. I thought you guys might have gone separate ways, It's been a few since he's been in your videos! I'm very happy you guys are still friends👈👍👌
Burning two piles that close together, you have no room to get your material to feed them. Or you would have to drive around the piles to feed them, so one bigger pile works good.

This to be far and away your best year in every way, work done, equipment inventory, you nameit. Congratulations!!
This piece of property is absolutely beautiful.
I can’t wait to see the progress on the pond repair.
Happy New Year Chris. Thanks for taking us with you throughout 2023. It's been fun to watch. Take care!
The work is truly a hobby and can be used to make money multiple times.
I like the pond fixes. Things progress quicker than the pond builds.
Love to see the siphon, if you want to go one more step in reducing erosion, put a sheet of plywood at the discharge end.

Interesting video hard to follow. Thanks for posting.
The mighty Volvo It’s effortless work is hypnotic I could just watch it over and over again Good luck in 2024 👍👍👍
Happy new year to all
Great video Happy new year Chris from wales🏴
I love to see your work. Thanks and keep the good job flow ! Happy new year.
Nothing better than a siphon working right. No pump or gas to deal with it’s really neat
Seen the siphon in another video went and got pipe. It sure did work good made my job a lot easier thanks.
Have a good one Chris!!!❤😊
You seem to be the most responsible dirt guy when it comes to burning. In Arkansas its a free for all with giant timber piles.
AR is among the most corrupt states... Maybe move if you don't approve?
It was nice to see Charlie in your last video, whatever happened to Justin? He hasn't made a Cameo in a while?
Just wondering if you still help John

Is Chris gay ?
I’ve never heard him speak of a girlfriend or wife all these years

Make life easier and put shut off valves on the fill port and discharge end of your siphon.
The real life pipe wrench with the nail holding the jaw 👍🏼🤣
It nice the big fire keep working happy New Year chris
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHRIS 😊
Thank you and have great new year. :)
Happy New Year Chris. Enjoy your videos.
Happy New Year
Bring a piece of hose to siphon from the bucket into the pvc. They use 2 or 3" rubber hoses to pull from irrigation ditches onto the fields down here.
Cuz what you doing a remodel on this pond have been laid up since Christmas with Covid
When Chris is asked what do you do - he replies "I pick things up, I put things down!"
Happy new year dig 18 keep up the great work and may you stay busy all year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
If you set the inlet of the siphon 2 feet below the surface of the pond, it would shut off at the needed pond depth automatically.
The flow slows the closer it gets so that’s not the fastest way.

There, there, there, there,there, there.
Sometimes you need 2 hands 🙌 ❤😊
Thanks for bothering to take us along when both hands would be easier. Happy New Year all!
Looks like you have a special automatic valve in the pond. I wonder what kind of

Job well done 👍🏻
Great job man
Why not throw stump in the pond for fish habitat,if its being a sob to burn. Happy New year to you all. May 2024 be lot better than 2023.😊🎉🎉
I love to see him film what he did and “spill a little” only for the shot, just to show what’s goin on

Leaf blower ...... Either hand held or back pack for about 5-10 minutes and she will be burning hot and smokeless
happy new year nice fire. cheers
Happy New Year .
Happy New Year buddy.
What ever happened to the really big excavator you used on the large pond dig. Enjoy watching pond building.
The 550 Volvo?
That was a demo, on loan from Volvo, just for that job.
Every time i was buring off like this the smoke would follow me around the job it was like annoying lol
couple more weeks before its burning season here.

Nice fire. Looks like Shanksville, Penn. after the crash.
👍
Ever played Giant Jenga with an excavator? Would be a trip to watch.
420, a cross and a pitchfork.
Evening all
Be fore you pile it dig a air trench under pile give her some air. It burn hot
Chris, was that cut over replanted or voluntary regrowth?
Cris ik wens je een heel goed en fijn gelukkig nieuwjaar toe.gr.van uit Nederland.
I was waiting for the phone to ring while you were pouring the bucket into the siphon. At least this one didn't give you a fit.
Chris,
Since you’ve been running both 220’s what thumb do you prefer? The longer or shorter tooth thumb.
On that siphon pipe the end in the pond you have a check valve right?
Chris haveing flashbacks in his editing. Lol
Have a good New Year...
good pond video
🙂
Happy New Year Chris
