I watch because I love seeing your experience shine through. The way you can foresee what you're going to be up against, down to the steps you're going to have to take to do the job... It's just a sight to see a master of his trade at work. When it comes out the way you had been explaining it the whole time and I finally get to go "ahh, I see what you're talking about now" happens all too often.
The sheer beauty of the sky reflecting in the water in the opening shots contrasted with the silhouette of the trees in the back ground. Amazing, nature at its best.
It IS looking good. That makes so much difference and once you finish dredging the shoreline, wow. It's gonna be pretty. Thanks for sharing, Chris. A perfect start to the year.
Absolutely awesome finding a new Letsdig18 episode in my feed on New Years day. Always like watching Chris rescue a neglected pond. From junk to treasure for the property owner.
Perfect Idea, with the Dozer to cleared out You the last Roots from the Shrub. And with the new Earth make You the Dam broad. Excellent Idea from You by this Repair Work. The Video and Your to Explanation first Class. Thanks. 👌
Until I started watching all these videos of Chris it never crossed my mind that these modern machines all run off hydraulic force with a power plant just to run the pumps. So much was mechanical drives and cable drives back in my day that it just did not sink in. That little Kamatsu engine rattling along just does not fit my vision of power but with it being hydraulic it works.Just grew up with the Cat diesel growl and still expect it.
☘️🇮🇪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 afternoon Chris Congratulations on the 90 acres!! Very exciting & very wise advise!! - that comforting sound of reliable machinery chugging to life makes the 🌎ok. You Chris can conquer anything with your calm ability to find even small humor . The job is ( as always) looking well planned out , thank you for being patient enough to explain it all to us. Blessings upon you🌹🙏🏼
That Komatzu dozer is my favorite piece of equipment you have. It’s the perfect size for most jobs, is plenty powerful, looks pretty slick and the tracks sound frikken awesome 😎
I’m amazed how much you have accomplished on redoing this dam in really a short time,I’m sure your quite happy with the progress. I believe it is going to be a good looking area for the customer.just continue on.great video 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Avid watcher of your videos. Love your attention to every detail as you should. Your expertise in using all your equipment amazes me. What was your wildest/scariest ride in one of your pieces of equipment. Keep up the amazing work. Happy 2024
Chris, I want you to know that man that’s Does good work like you and has pride in what he does deserves to be successful like you are. I admire you. Thank. Wow fun fun fun
Oh Yeah, That's going to look and be 100% better !! Going to have a hell of a mud hole, once ya start filling the borrow pit back in !! lolol.... Looking good Man !! Great as always Chris, Have a Great Evening, And, On to the Next for the first time in 2024 !! lolol....
Hey Chris!!! Good to see that you are gona have plenty of projects for the 1st part of 2024 !! 😂🙂🙃 Geoff is eager to get his 90 acre pond going too !! 🤔🙄😬 ""HAPPY NEW YEAR "" & keep the videos going !! HAHA 👍👍👍👍👍
Make sure you give the farmer a heads up about the spot you're cutting out the clay of. Because I suspect that they'll forget that the hole was there and filled back with muddy topsoil. Then they'll drive a tractor or harvester across it and bury it up to the differential. At least until it dries out. I just got reminded of one job you surveyed a while back of a pond dam repair. That the overflow pipe failed at some point in the past and had washed out maybe a 1/10th or so of a mile channel some forty to sixty feet deep. Did you ever get to that one or did the task get passed on for logistics and such?
Chris creating a "combine trap" for the future. A hole full of mud is not great for driving heavy equipment over the top of. DP filled a few ponds for Farmer Chris up there in Indiana over the years and since then Farmer Chris has to be careful around them during wet seasons. DP has had to do a few wrecker trips to retrieve some stuff that was stuck and they have a running joke about it. It all works until someone forgets and drives off into it. Still it is an affordable way to do a job like this.
Those holes that Farmer Chris found where not caused by DP. Chris work is not doing anything to the original dam so there will not be a combine problem. The slopes where wide for the harvest head and maintainability. The combine will not be driving on them.
@@dennis2376 Thank you. And yes, DP and Farmer Chris wanted to fill some old ponds and make straight rows for field work in a few places. Those ended up being fine until rainy season then they got soft deeper than the surrounding ground. Farmer Chris stuck machines in them more than once but DP brought out the 160 to pull him out and get him back on solid ground. Those will eventually dry and harden but it takes time to compact the deep soil after filling in those holes. Now FC just works around them when they are soft, but he is still ahead of the game with more crops and less time working them.
I gotta tell ya- I shared the truck vid with my hubby, and the first words out of his mouth were- “ what a waste! That was a perfectly good truck” Boy didnt know the backstory- i remember when you BOuGHT that truck, I think! Lol
Hey Chris i know you like to have just have the camera with you, but would you consider getting a wireless mic. Its hard to hear you over the equipment when you're in the cab. Just a suggestion, love your videos.
You mentioned that the pins were being noisy, that’s what happens when you use your equipment, you didn’t buy that excavator to look at. Thank you Sir for all of your videos.
I really love what you do Chris but I am just disappointed not being able to see all the progress with you not using time lapse so that we can see the progress instead of jumping ahead and just seeing what has been done I think the use of more time lapse would really enhance your channel. Keep up the good work.
So lucky to have good clay on your projects! Al the best for 2024, everyone!
That is so beautiful the way the clouds are reflecting on the water before you went to start the truck to
I like the restoration projects. You make a ugly neglected pond look brand new. Chris is a master pond artist

Good to find plenty of nice dry clay and back slope is looking neat. Congrats on the Bealy Good venture.
Happy 2024 Chris. Love the reflection of all the clouds in the pond. Was so pretty. thus far with what you have done, looks good.
I love the way you make sure all of your customers get the same professional treatment. That's why you are your the BEST.
Always enjoy the pond repair projects that you do. Simple fixes are the best!! Quite the difference in dam heights between this and the last project!!
After watching the last build with the 330 and that bucket size you can really appreciate how much bigger it is.
It IS looking good. That makes so much difference and once you finish dredging the shoreline, wow. It's gonna be pretty. Thanks for sharing, Chris. A perfect start to the year.
