It the rear drag Sedona 4000 is as good as the Sedona 4000F front drag then I will be looking at this reel. (I love my Mitchell tools!) well, I’ve watched the video and decided I don’t want one.I would have preferred to have a bearing on the main gear but it did not have one. Also the drag system was disappointing. My Shimano SSG7000 saltwater rear drag reels have 14 drag washers in them. This Sedona doesn’t seem to me to ever be useful for saltwater fishing. Glad you showed us this one Dennis! - Chris
Thank you so much for the video! I did not take that Shimano apart at all som1 else did,or that Korean Abu. My boy found that Abu. Very neat, I'm gonna send more in for ya. Better quality this time 😂
The only thing here is the rear drag setting does not have a screw in the middle to take remove it and I don't have a clue how to remove it do you have any idea?
If you do not have a rear cap screw, that usually means that you have to remove the side plate in order to remove the rear drag assembly - Try that. Take the handle off and then the side plate screws. Once you remove the side plate, you will probably find a groove where the cap sits and you should be able to take the assembly off after removing the axle shaft - If not, please send ma a note again with what you did find - Dennis
I’ve watched a video of a reel with the same anti-reverse issue. The fix was taking a q-tip, inserting it in the center hole of the anti-reverse clutch itself and running it around the outside of the center hole cleaning the rollers very thoroughly (repeat with a few q-tips). Just passing that along. I havent watched the rest of the video yet so we’ll see how it turns out. Your videos have been so helpful to me. Hopefully this tip is useful for you!
Great job 👍 Dennis . Another Reel Saved From the Trash. Rear Drag is OK With Me. I Have A Couple of Rear Drag Reels.
Thanks - I uses several rear drag reels for freshwater. I prefer the ones without the quick fire set ups - Dennis

Thanks. Lucky find on the Abu!
Hay Dennis great video it's a good reel but not a fan of rear drag reels thanks
Fair enough! The rear drag reels have a place, particularly in fresh water.
I need a video on the Shimano Sahara 2500 R full service if you have a video please
I don't have a video on that model, but this video on the sidestep may help ua-cam.com/video/C35POJZLqb8/v-deo.html Dennis

I can say for the 10 yrs I owned that reel it was never apart
Hmmm. Somewhere it lost that shield. All good now - Thanks
I've never been a fan of rear drag reels, to each their own
They have their place in the fishing world, but let's just say you don't see them on the pro tour
