It is! By the way, you were spot on with the biscotti technique 🙌🏻 I could’ve let them go a bit longer on the second round to have that perfect crunch 🥰 Thanks for sharing 💖
We make these every year using baking powder and a pinch of salt. This year I used a dough hook, also used 1/2 Crisco and 1/2 butter. Added the dry mixture and dropped the Crisco and butter by tablespoon into the dry ingredients. Add a little milk after the eggs to make a dough. Refrigerate dough for about an hour. No need to dip in milk. Also toast my seeds in the oven.
I just made these cookies this evening. Makes about 80 cookies. The thing i did differently is, I refrigerated the cookie dough for an hour. When I made the cookies, I let them cool a bit, then I baked them again another 15 minutes. I wanted a crispier cookie. If you've ever made biscotti cookies, then you kow what I mean, and why I did it. Try a few cookies baked twice and see if that's more to your liking. I tried 5 at first, allowed them to cool, and I ate all five, they were crispy,, and to my liking. So bake 15 minutes, let cool, then bake 15 minutes a second time. THUMBS UP!!!
That was fun! I wish we had tastavision! I love sesame seeds, those cookies look soooo yummy! I'm really intrigued by the fact that you are making vanilla, what fun! Thanks for sharing!! :)
Thank you! Vanilla is easy to make, buy some beans, got mine on Amazon. You need about about 7 of them for each and split to expose the paste inside I put them in a 12 oz bottle and filled one with vodka and one with bourbon 😊
Hey fellow Brooklynite 🥰 Bensonhurst here ☺ We love these cookies, just made a batch for the holidays along with the seven-layer rainbows 😋 Thanks for stopping by 💝
One major question: I and most people don't bake convection. You did not give regular baking times for non convection and thought that you'd offer the bake time. You were so close. Any good recommendation on baking time? Thanks greatly, and THUMBS UP!!!
Sorry for not catching this sooner 😕 The time is for regular 😊 Because I bake at convection my cook time is shorter than 15 minutes 👍🏻 As I say in the video, convection is quicker so I start checking at 8 minutes 😊 Thanks so much for visiting and hope you try them 🥰
This is a very good reciupe. I can't wait to make a second time. THUMBS UP!!!
