I really love your reviews! I always come back and check if you've done a review for a certain book and you have never failed me!! And your reviews are consice yet hold all the valuable information for us to really get intrigued!!
Wow, thank you!
Thanks for your review. I'm a big re-reader, and I find that the first time I encounter King's foreshadowing I tend to be a bit surprised. The subsequent time(s) I encounter the same foreshadowing I tend to be annoyed by it lol. Currently re-reading The Dark Tower series at the mo. (for the millionth time )
I love The Dark Tower, a bit too much. I need to reread... (again)
Have it in my tbr pile. Wanted to read it sooner but then someone said it is a bit politics in it which is a well known thing that King often discuss politics but is it too much about it in it?
There's a bit but you can honestly ignore most of it.
Good review and I enjoyed the book. I thought the ending was strong too. Or without giving anything away in detail... Ending(s). Plus a neat reference to another very famous King novel.
Yes, it was definitely a stronger one!
I never thought a book would bring emotional attachment. This was the first book I have finished. I feel acomplished and saddened at the same time
@@AlexA-sb8iq I'm sure that Becky would agree with me that there are many books that can evoke emotional attachment, but of course it's just a question of finding the right ones.
@@theStranger666 sounds about right! On to my next novel 👌🏼
Next king purchase for me. Great review.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks. I enjoy your review and the book.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Interesting cover on your Summers book, didn't know that one existed. I really lke it.
Great review thanks. Without spoilers and I think you hit the nail on the head with SK. He does meander. I thought Later, his short story, was excellent and I’m about 100 pages in with Billy Summers and to be honest I’m struggling so far. I’ll finish it it, but I’m hoping it picks up shortly.
Thank you for a very good rewiev. I really enjoy your videos, especially Stephen King videos ♥️♥️👍👍 thank you!
Glad you like them!
Really awesome review
I enjoyed watching your review! Would definitely give this 4/5 stars. Caught some political stuff, but avoided it as best as I could. Out of all of his books I’ve read, Sleeping Beauties had way too much political topics in that one for me.
Thanks!
My new favourite King book during pandemic reading 😷
I've read one Stephen King book... The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon... and it was utter shit, pardon my French. I had gotten it because it was at a thrift shop for $1, and it was fewer than 300 pages. But there wasn't much point to the story, it was very repetitive, and it was just downright boring.
That being said, I would, in theory, be willing to give King another go, but I'm not sure where to start. I'm looking for something fewer than 500 pages (preferably fewer than 400... but I know he writes massive tomes) and also something that makes relative sense, IE: doesn't hinge on a paranormal context. Does such a King novel exist? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Yeah I mean.
..thats ur loss if u dont read him lol 😆....is that a serious question 🤣
Hey I heard that scorsesse and lennon guy can make movies and music too lololol
@@bkboy2384 It is a serious question... I don't understand your retort. Just looking for a recommendation here, if a King novel exists within the parameters I specified. Not looking for mocking replies.
@@rebekahmenn2118 I wasn't mocking....u have to learn to take some sarcasm in life Rebekah lol....loosen up...have a sense of humor....of course I can recommend some stuff from one of the greatest authors of our time...it would be my pleasure....and tom gordon I agree is boring...so maybe I can lead u into he right direction....but u gotta promise me u can't be offended by everything lol...and take a joke here n there....deal?
@@bkboy2384 Your two comments did not come off as funny at all. Just rude. I simply asked for recommendations.
It was a fun read. Of course no where near the best King I've read but also not among the worst either. I guess my biggest criticism is that this is terribly far fetched. Lots of things happening here that could not possible happen in real life. It did remind me a little of Straub when he decided to go into war stories. I did not mind the politics in the book. SK is a liberal and I'm glad the people on the alt right gets theirs. Finally, as is the case in many many King books, the story takes us through Boulder and Nederland.
*The novel was a 'good read' but that's all of it*
( *30-pages in I was thinking this was written by Owen, not 'Steve-o'* )
*The idea of some 'middle-age-ish professional assassin w/a rifle doing a staged 'hit' on some 'Mafia' guy is just stupid, especially for some outrageous fee when any sh!thead would do it for $20K *
*Someone with money wants you dead, then the guys 'inna' joint' will see to it long before any 'extradition' happens*
(btw...'Protective Custody' doesn't mean SH!T inside...just ask 'Whitey' Bulger if you could, or that 'Mr. Got Bucks' guy that was phucking teens that 'hanged!?!? himself RIGHT ON CAMERA in a cell with nothing in it but a sheet that is deliberately designed NOT to have enough strength to hold human weight...and people actually believe any of that sh!t?)
______________
*King wanted to find-out 'Can I write some 'Phillip Marlowe' type story, only doing it 'my way' and he did it*
Are you a teachers ? You look 100% like a teacher !
Fucking Marge... 😢
Yea that bitch was hard core and Billy F'd up twice with her .
