- This is where I buy RG 45, a gas welding rod and brazing rod. Important to me is that they carry 5/32 & 3/16 RG45. In this video there are brief examples of how I use RG 45 in my work. Also covered is a selection of flux covered brazing rod and bare brazing rod.
those sculptures with the rg45 are beautiful
Thanks you so much. Will be showing more of that type of work I've been doing during the summer. Stay tuned.
I am looking for just 3/16" and 1/4" mild steal for my sculpture. Any cheap places for that. The local hardware store is about $1 a foot. That seems like a lot.
I don't know about 1/4. For 3/16 is buy RG 45 from weldingsupply.com weldingsupply.com/cgi-bin/einstein.pl?Next::1:UNDEF::::PF1
Hi George, do you make and weekly vids of what you doing in the workshop, you are great to watch and it would be cool to have a few hang out or vlog vids from you,
Lovely idea, but there are not enough hours in the day to do all that I want to do. At 81. I'm doing well to do everything I am doing.
Do you have a "vog vids" I'd like to how you are doing it.
81? Having a purpose and staying busy, ironically, keeps you young.
"The value of tools" is the first vid I watched...knew this George guy was a knowledgeable teacher!
Thank you for the inspiration . I'm going for a hydronic heating system leaf spray that moves with thermal changes. The trick to art work is to say " I meant to do that" :)
I hope you are not kidding, because I want to see that.
Not kidding at all because what is life without fun and failures.I use a hot water "hydronic heat system" for alot of uses and what I'll go for is just a fancy radiator . I'll play with some dissimilar metal lamination to try to get movement of copper leaves. Not much written about the subject so why not play with a few bits .
Keep in touch
THANKS.
Thanks for watching. Hope all is well.
Thanks
Thank you much. Appreciate you viewing and making a comment.
Beautiful work George and another great video. Gas welding is becoming a lost art...
For steel to steel, if it just a short weld I still use the torch. If it's a long weld or a bunch of welds, I'll turn to the MIG.
