I think that either: 1) Rush had units outside of his main, so he had to lift his barracks to let those units get back inside his base, or 2) the barracks wasn't initially part of a wall, so he had to move it to try to create a wall to prevent more DTs from entering his base.
First DT went in completely unchecked. Rush was in major trouble at that point microing SCVs to try to stay alive while the ebay builds. Needed his Vultures back to his base asap so he lifted the Barracks to get his Vultures in without having to micro around the bunker because he was too busy. I could be totally off on this but my guess as to the reason for Rush barracks positioning in g1 was that he was expecting a gas steal because of the map and was trying to make it look like he was going cc first. Had it not been scouted I think he would of thrown down a 2nd barracks to completely all in. That position also keeps him more safe if its a proxy gateway,(which as they mentioned not as popular these days but hey you never know, bo7, 2 player map) rather than the barracks being more far forward/middle of the map. Good to know about the plugins that hide the video length time, I'll have to look into that. In the past I generally just try to avoid looking at the video length as suggested, or if I do see it I just tell myself well you never know how long/short games can be, maybe a shorter video(especially now with bo7 format) you could have all 7 games but some are just really short.
Spoilers. I felt like the first two games it wasnt a Rain win but a Rush loss. Then the next two games rush just crumbled and Rain did run him over. In all honesty i think we are gonna have another zerg finals. Snow doesnt seem to be doing well at desition making right now and that is gonna be extreamly important if he wants to have any chance at beating Soulkey who is right now a beast devouring protoss and terrans. I dont see either sharp nor rain beating hero.
I just came up with a new idea. What if you send a zealot with speed legs forward and shoot him with your own reaver and dive him into the enemy. Could you damage a tank without taking damage on the reaver?
A question I always wish Artois or Tasteless would ask after 1 of these early game rushes to cancel a nexus first = "Would X player just have been better off NOT rushing?" Would help me understand the game state.
It's either to end Protoss in that vulnerable state or to destroy their economic advantage by forcing them to spend resources on production buildings and tier 1 units rather than allow them to tech quickly.
What I’ve heard artosis say on this matter is that rushing a nexus first *is* the Terran’s macro build against it. So yes I think they would consider it essential.
it's always better to not attack unless you can do real damage cos you invest in tech and units instead of workers and bases.. if they hold without losing a lot you are behind, usually fatally behind. later in the game this doesn't apply cos economy and production is massive, don't need more workers and can remake lost units.
The event vods website links to youtube videos but hides the time bar while still letting you pause or scrub forward and backward, maybe get in contact with them
The DBD community actually adds on (30-45 minutes) to hide the length or turn out of games if that's something you guys are into. If their matches are 2-0, they tack on an extra bit of time to make sure the actual results are half-hidden. I know its more work but that might help you guys out some too if you just add like... blank screen for an hour.

Robbed, it was so close, just needed one more game...
Fantastic games! GG
I just came up with a new idea. What if you send a zealot with speed legs forward and shoot him with your own reaver and dive him into the enemy. Could you damage a tank without taking damage on the reaver?
A question I always wish Artois or Tasteless would ask after 1 of these early game rushes to cancel a nexus first = "Would X player just have been better off NOT rushing?"
Would help me understand the game state.
If the Terran player loses, then yes they would have been better off focusing on economy and not rushing.
So yes I think they would consider it essential.
it's always better to not attack unless you can do real damage cos you invest in tech and units instead of workers and bases.. if they hold without losing a lot you are behind, usually fatally behind. later in the game this doesn't apply cos economy and production is massive, don't need more workers and can remake lost units.
another simple way to think about it is, greedy macro build>middle of the road build>hyper aggressive build>greedy macro build
So sweet seeing tasteless casting while sitting on artosis' lap
The Premiere Feature can help hide the length of the video
The event vods website links to youtube videos but hides the time bar while still letting you pause or scrub forward and backward, maybe get in contact with them
love it
You guys remember that one GSL season where Solar showed up to the semifinals/finals in pajama pants?
Lets have em chills ready!

Hype!
Great patient game 2 from Rain.
I GOT CHILLS!! I can see Rain winning this season if it's a PvP vs Snow at the end.
Rush just wasn't prepared.
