My best memory of food in the Đà Lạt was simple fresh salad. We were with the tour guides and they ordered fresh salad on every meals. We hesitated because they are raw and we are not quite adopted to raw vegetables and fruits. But we could not resist and take the risk. They were so good because of the super freshness. It just fresh lettuces with vinegar, salt, pepper and onion vinaigrette. We can taste the sweetness of the lettuce and the crunchiness. We definitely will have them on every meals if we visit Ðà Lạt again. We ate so many dishes in Đà Lạt but fresh lettuces with simple vinaigrette were the only things that imprinted on our mind.
Anywhere that lets you have what is basically Affogato for breakfast gets a tick from me. Eating our way round Vietnam is definitely on the bucket list!! Thanks for another cracking video guys!
Hi -Vietnam has a lot of “Italian-like” dishes stemming from the numerous French colonists from the Italianate cultures of Mediterranean France as well as Corsica. One example - the banh-mi mayonnaise is called “bơ” (butter) because originally it was a Provençal-style aïoli (with egg yolks), known as "le beurre de Provence" (Provencal butter). The reverse is also true, many of the French Provençale dishes substitute Vietnamese fish sauce (nước mắm) for their "pissalat" (a Niçoise version of Roman fish sauce). The French language exists no longer; many Western legacies now being assumed to be American in origin. The Italian affogato (a trendy new thing in the US) had already existed in Vietnam as "le café liégeois" in the old days.
@JordanandEmily. You eat it with vietnamese basil. Also has a side of salt, chilli. Squeeze some lemon into it and its a dip for you beef. Or u can put a little bit into ur broth. Its got a nice deep broth. You can eat it with bread or rice. Hopefully u try it and enjoy it. Its a popular vietnamese dish.
Sorry if i missed it, but can't see the location in the description of the da lat pizza. I was just there a month ago but didn't see this place. I miss it already.
The Vietnamese pizza lady is an instable person . Some days she is very kind to customers and some days she turns to be very nasty . Here in Dalat we call her " ba diên" which means the crazy woman . How was she when you were there ?
As much as you enjoyed the foods, I know you are not as impressed with the cleanliness. I was born there. Every time I go back there, i struggle with the bathrooms and culture. I dislike hand sanitizer, FYI. I'm far left with being germ free type, but VN is another level of different for me.
I know you are judging them based on on their skin color as they didn’t mention anything about cleanliness. My white American roommate never even heard about germs. He doesn’t wash his hands after using the toilet. Handling food, eating while petting his dog, let the dog licking his hands and eating food with his bare hands ( with dog saliva still on it yikes ) so just because they are white, doesn’t mean they are picky about cleanliness.

That's so funny! Crazy how all the cultures are intertwined, and had no idea the afogato was originally in Vietnam!
the foods look delicious😍
😋 it was next level!
Pls try "Sữa chua nếp cẩm" (black sticky rice yogurt) in Đà Lạt, hope it will be impressed!
Ohh thanks for the recommendation!! 😊
❤❤❤ chức hai bạn có những kỷ niệm thật đẹp ở Việt Nam
The best memories! 😊
If ur still in vn you should try a "Banh mi Bo kho". Its beef stew banh mi. Similar to the banh mi xiu mai u had
Omg that sounds so good! Thank you so much! 😊

Da Lat is home to many cafes with the best views and look for the clouds at 5am and you've missed them 💔
Oh nice! Good excuse to return!
This is my first time seeing you guys. But I think you're need to expand beyond the normal western taste food. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your comment! We do quote often but da lat had so many interesting variations we wanted to try 😄
@JordanandEmily thank you for the response. I'm subscribed to your UA-cam and follow. Looking forward to many videos to come.
Sorry if i missed it, but can't see the location in the description of the da lat pizza. I was just there a month ago but didn't see this place. I miss it already.
Oh, it might not be in there, I'll double check and make sure! 😊
I almost drowned on my own saliva!!! That vietnamese pizza looked so good 🤤🍕🇻🇳
Hahaha thats what we were like trying to edit this together hahah
it's great in Dalat but even better in Nha Trang. way better.
@thatevanguy1480 👀 that's our next stop, we liked it so much we didn't film haha we just enjoyed
You can do either ways with Bánh Mì Xíu Mại. Dunking is best if you are sitting. On the go as street food, it is best to stuff like normal bánh mì.
We need to try the stuffing it like a normal Banh Mi way!!
12:56 eat with green papaya will be better, don't waste the papaya 😅
Hahaha oh this is good to know! Thank you! 😊
I'm considering a solo trip to Dalat.
It's worth it! 😊 very cool place
Try BOT CHIEN, and PAPAYA SALAD WITH BEEF JERKY [ GOI KHO BO]
We missed all the salads but had heard such good things!!
Video tuyệt vời !🥰👍
Thank you and thanks for watching! 😊

Hahaha really!!?? She was great when we were there, she must have been having a good day!

We tend to not use public bathrooms if we can avoid it! Haha but the streets seemed okay!
