I've been in Singapore 3 days and 4 days in Thailand bankok. I prefer Thailand 100% over Singapore. Singapore is to expensive shop malls look like super quiet dead.. unlike Thailand always alive and fun. I did like the efficiency of Singapore. And the simcard for data but other than that I liked the food more in Thailand and way more to see and experience so Thailand wins for me.
When you have young kids, nothing beats Singapore. You need safety, service and medical help to perfection. But when your kids grow older, like older teens, you might want a place that is a bit more forgiving (just in case they make mistakes or hang out with bad company) and promote creativity (this requires less strict rules). Also, a bigger world if that makes sense. Singapore is so small that everybody knows everybody, including their mistakes. This probably does not apply much to ang moh, I can’t speak for them, but definitely can be nauseous for Asians. Then, like you say, people need to learn how to live in real world and Singapore is not really a real world. It is like a safety bubble, which is why it is good for young children. Of course this is just my personal opinion.
I used to visit Singapore in the past. But the last time was over twelve years ago. I moved to Thailand. Love it here. It is very affordable and it's safe enough for me...
as a southeast asian, it feels uncomfortable that foreign vloggers pit us against each other all the time. And when they do it, its apparent that there will always something bad to be said about one country. This part of the world isn't built for that. We are a friendly region that embraces our differences. I hope you can all allow us to live our own lives, carry our own culture and not cause division. Its sad that vloggers, social media and the outsiders are ruining it for us.
They come from Europe, and North America. The West has been into division and conflicts for over 2000 years. For all of the present century, the US government and its European vassals have promoted division and conflict.
I like Singapore cos it is very safe and medically well equipped if I get old and sick. It is also very centralised in South East Asia where I can retire a few weeks in Malaysia, then a few weeks in Thailand, then back to Singapore home again. 😄✌🏼
@@unclesin96 Great to hear your opinion. But (there’s always a ‘but’ insult there, LOL?) You’re a Sporean so you’re naturally biased. Nothing wrong with being biased but it is what it is.
Finished watching the whole video just now and as someone who used to live and run business in Phuket 10+ years ago and now living in Singapore, my take is Phuket is great if you're single or married with no kids, but as a family with kids, Singapore is much better (Though schooling can be a bit too competitive at time)
Haha… somehow I’m afraid you might leave us… but hey, it’s always ok to live life to the fullest… no matter where you are, we will be happy for you and your family… hehe… glad you already called Singapore your home.. welcome back Max. 😊
I love Phuket and the chill lifestyle. BUT when it is living there, there are so many things I would prefer Singapore in a heartbeat. 1) Public transport is very limited and 'flexible' timing. I once took their local 'bus' Song Taew. Oh man, it was a very slow ride. Of course they have bolt, grab and indrive, but it is not as cheap as we imagine. 2) If you need to engage any help for maintenance for Phuket apartment, my unlucky experience is they are also not very responsive. I called it 'Phuket' time. I have to remind I am not in Singapore so don't expect Singapore response time. 3) Water is not safe to drink from tap in Phuket. So just imagine how many plastic bottles have been accumulated in Thailand. 4) Electricity. I do find that electricity is cheaper(>10%) in Singapore compared to Phuket. And not to mention, it is not uncommon to experience blackout in Phuket as the cables are not built underground. Any accident or storm that damage cable lines can cause power failure easily. 5) Annual monsoon season. The flooding situation is not getting better in the annual monsoon season. Phuket drainage system is not built on effective flood control system. So whenever they experience massive rainfall, the flooding do get out of control. Recent flooding cases caused some landslides and houses to be washed away. I would definitely visit Phuket regularly but I don't think I would ever call it my home.
Every country has its downside. No country is perfect. You listed the downside of Thailand. Read the other comments on here the downside of Singapore for a complete picture. Instead of just cheering your own country. Especially by locals who wrote about their own country. These Singapore downsides will apply to foreigners who plan to live/retire in Singapore.
Water can be filtered by yourself. But having to pay 5x times to just own a same car - cannot be fixed. Same goes for medical bills. Even Phuket have plenty of hospitals within. 15 minutes drive. Not to mention they are much cheaper. Apples to oranges, in best case scenario
The comparison is irrelevant; don't understand why people still try to compare orange and apple 😅😅😅😅. One is a developed city while Thailand is an emerging country!. And SG is one city/country while Thailand is a whole country and one can't expect to have the same organised things that can be found in SG. Tout should compare SG with Dubai or Tokyo for instance, and compare Thailand with Malaysia or Vietnam. 😂 Don't compare Dubai and Manila for instance; completely irrelevant 😂😂😂😂😂
I lived in thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, and traveled a lot in asean, by far the most liveable place is Malaysia (KL and KK) the rest just good vacation or Singapore for work
If you like city life, Bangkok is modern and advanced. You can get pretty much everything here. Whereas, Singapore is great but the price is also great. If you are ultra rich, Singapore is the heaven
@@babibrain Singapore is actually even better when you are the average Joe/Jane on the street. You get clean air and clean water. Public toilets are a lot cleaner. The city is generally cleaner. Bangkok may be cheaper but you are breathing in polluted air, the streets are so dirty and there is a persistent bad smell in the air. Plus at night time, Singapore is safe and brightly lit-up EVERYWHERE. In Bangkok, most places are still dark and dimly lit, and is not safe. Guess who among the rich and the average have to be the ones to walk those dark streets at night?
@@Slla-th5vtBangkok is polluted i agree with that. But for the safety i may not agree with you, because Bangkok street is pretty safe, and for the "Most place are still dark" That's because you're talking about the "neighbourhood" that's light off after 4pm because the main street here is bright. And the main reason why Singapore is so bright that is because it's a small island that lights from a building can reach up to across the island.
@@Slla-th5vt But I'd say that Singapore is the best and most comfortable place to Build a family+get a dregrees, But I'll choose to living a life rather than a trueman show paradise
Grass is not always greener on the other side . But happy for you that you found a place. There will always be a better place somewhere that not being discovered.
Singapore is sooo advanced in almost all aspects, both the people and the country itself, though very expensive. Thailand, on the other hand, is still gradually developing and trying to learn things from other already developed countries. Personally, I think it's gonna be quite a few decades before Thailand could be comparable to Singapore. By the way, because these two countries are so close in distance it's best to live and work in Singapore, if you can afford it, and then spend nice long weekends and holidays in Thailand.
Singapore asian parents are different from the western parents, particularly SG parents. When something happens to their children, they start blaming the government ( why like this, why like that, why didn't the gov do something about it ) the blames are on the gov but not on their children carelessness or their responsibility.Singapore children are too protected and pampered. Its their parents responsibilty to mould their children and teach them to be responsible of themselves ( be independent )and show consequences of their action ( careless wrong decision ) but with a full guidance and advise from parents. That's how children learn
Fact is, a comparison such as this is not an apple-for-apple comparison. So, it boils down to at what stage of our lives are we at, and what are our current (including short and long-term) priorities are, and which country offers the best environment (assuming one has a choice). No country is perfect. As a Singaporean, I take advantage and enjoy all the “good” she offers, and learn to manage the “bad” or “not-so-good”including providing whatever necessary alternatives for my children (if they are critically lacking). Still, I did enjoy you sharing your perspectives. For those who are fortunate enough to have healthy financial stability, perhaps appreciating our homeland while enjoying the occasional/seasonal getaway either to our favourite getaway or some interesting alternative experience is probably the best way to enjoy the best of “both worlds” or “rich world”.
@@crosbyong how do you manage the highly pressurized rigid rote learning public school system that starts from 4yrs old? PSLE that condemns our children to neighborhood schools majority of whom end up in Singapore Poly.
@jjhenry3338 Its that your perception that those who schooled at neighborhood school only get to go to poly? What a shallow thought? My 3 sons were from neighbourhood school and they successfully graduated from Murdoch Uni/National University Of Ireland and Singapore NTU.Two of my sons are in IT and my youngest son is a teacher. Please don't look down on neigbourhood school.
@ To describe our current learning system as “rote learning” is not entirely accurate. It has evolved, and continues to do so. However, I understand what you are concerned about. First of all, unfortunately, one needs to recognise that quintessentially, the education system is primarily driven by what the Gov perceives is relevant for the current and future workforce. It’s another existential strategy. Actually, the source “pressure” and “stress” come from many players, not least and probably the most guilty are parents. All I try to inculcate in my children are habits, routine, and discipline. We discourage unnecessary tuition like the plague. And, I urged my children to just give their best effort. In the past (my time), the education system was very rigid but it is not anymore. Of course, like everywhere, those with greater financial resources, get to enjoy more options. My children benefited and survived the system.
@@kamariahabdrahim6963 First off congratulations to your success. My serious question is would you prefer your kid be schooled in RI/HwaChong or Jurong Secondary/YusoffIshak? There's a big difference with neighborhood schools whose students mostly end up in Singapore Poly or worse ITE. Fact. Foreigners with kids should know about the public schooling system in Singapore.
@@crosbyong I think you understand my concern. I think Singapore has the best education system in the sense the educators try to do the right thing. But the neighborhood schools and tuition from preschool issues is just too pressurized. And the highly competitive nature means much less chance to qualify for NUS/NTU. And the risk of wasting 2yrs for A-levels and not qualifying.
I just spent some time in both as an foreigner from a western country (but with East Asian heritage), so I have no bias towards or against either place. With that said, I would definitely choose Singapore as a place to live for myself.
In the end, its up to you which country you're comfortable living in. Both countries have its pros snd cons. So we can't really say this country is beyter thsn other. In the end, it what your heart feels like home.
I’m from Singapore….retired and financially secure….I have to say Singapore is way too expensive and too sterile to have a comfortable life as compared to some of the other South East Asian countries…..it’s just that constant rat race here. I feel sad for the younger generation who now have to compete for jobs with an over influx of foreigners, public housing and housing loans being really out of reach for young people starting out in life, medical cost that just keeps rising and not to mention the ridiculous prices of cars due to the COE (entitlement to drive a car for 10 years). I was born and bred here but not gonna retire here….I spend my retirement moving from one country to another in South East Asia to enjoy the good life that was once found in Singapore and is no longer a reality. Having lived in Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand….these places have the warmth and exhibit the true quality of life that I cannot find in Singapore…..I’m currently in Thailand and treasuring every moment here.
@@crisg5807 Thank you sir for writing the truth. Foreigners outside ASEAN region who are not familiar must read this accurate comment about the reality on the ground.
u are right in many ways. but if you think you should be allowed the freedom to move to other foreign countries to retire based on your own financial and personal needs to benefit yourself, foreigners should have the similar freedom to move to singapore for jobs based their own financial needs to benefit themselves.
Like your sharing. I m in Malaysia, mother Singaporean and a used to be Singapore PR dad with relatives from Singapore. I have people shared stress in Spore after retirement, that they plan to spend more away from Spore, and more coming over to shop in JB. Just try to learn if Spore is really costly for retirement.
agreed. the sterility, boredom, along with the high costs of Singapore is a major concern and of course a contributing factor to what's making people move out.
I love both Singapore and Thailand. Singapore is where my ❤ heart is-it’s home and I love it the most. While I also enjoy and love Thailand, it’s not somewhere I’d consider for long-term living.
Unfair comparison. I don’t like Phuket after going there 6 times. Phuket is not Thailand. It’s a tourist trap. Try somewhere else in Thailand for a better comparison. Thailand is actually quite lovely especially compared to SG

This was a nice and interesting vlog, as a new parent.. i'd love to hear from you about parenting and the differences you find between raising children in Singapore and Russia and also interview some people on this topic.
Thailand you get to enjoy driving all over the beautiful country. Whereas you're trapped on the tiny Singapore island. And if you don't drive there it's a big step down without the car. A playground for the ultra rich.
Flight from Singapore to Phuket is about the same as Bangkok to Phuket. Changi is more efficient and overall nicer to spend time at. So living in Singapore is hardly any different from living in Bangkok if you want to visit the islands.
Max, from what you said about payment in Thailand 🇹🇭, I think Singapore 🇸🇬 is more advanced in terms of how everyone uses credit cards 💳, or QR-code paying for food and other purchases . It’s just my opinion from what I see in Singapore from my recent visit to Singapore 🇸🇬.
Singapore have done a great job maintaining/rejuvenating their classic, historical buildings or districts. But it does come across a bit like Disneyland or a theme park.
I live in Thailand for over 10+ years with multiple visits to Singapore as a tourist. Personally, I would never live in Singapore. It's too boring. The entire country of Singapore is smaller than the smallest US state (Rhode Island). Thailand is more relaxed, better cost of living and value, better food (my personal opinion), and it's a bigger country so you have more options to travel within it's borders and explore everything Thailand has to offer. Even if you want Singaporean food, there are many Singaporean nationals that have relocated to Thailand and opened up Singaporean restaurants so you can get it no problem. Healthcare at the top private hospitals in Bangkok is excellent, public transport in Bangkok is very good, etc. Also, personally I'm a "car guy" / car enthusiast, and the ridiculous government restrictions in Singapore on modifying cars would really make this hobby unenjoyable. You have these crazy COE certificates and excise duty taxes making cars only affordable for the super wealthy. A big turnoff for me. Did I mention that Thailand is more relaxed yet? Thailand has decriminalized marijuana and it's now legal for recreational use. Personally, I do NOT smoke at all, but the fact that in Singapore, you can get the death penalty for posession of marijauna is absurd. But then again, I don't have kids. Singapore does have a better education system (i'll give you that), but this doesn't apply to me at this stage of my life.
@RUHappyATM which makes me question why he compared Phuket and Singapore. If he wanted to compare city life, he should of compared it to Bangkok. Bangkok alone is more populous and bigger in land mass than Singapore. Bangkok can pretty much compete with Singapore in every aspect (aside from the education system & street cleanliness).
@@DeanBKK I disagree about your assessment on better education system. Rote learning highly pressurized from 4yrs old is not good for children's upbringing. International school is the much better option for your kids if you're an expat.
Living in Singapore is like being in a safe zone, suitable for those who want to live a simple life. But living in Thailand is living a colorful life, depending on what kind of person you are.

For business progression, child education and exposure to different cultures which will help your kids excel, Singapore will be your choice. If you are earning the same income, regardless of location, Thailand will be a better place to enjoy without having to fork out high cost of living in Singapore and you be less stressed and more enjoyable. Its like paying half the cost of living in Singapore but sacrifice your children potential to learn different culture plus one of the best educational system in the world. You should discuss with your wife what you expect your children to grow up to be? Then you can decide where is the best location to stay. This is a good video to compare life in SG and Thailand. Well done!
I am Singaporean , I think if you are a digital nomad? Stay in Thailand. You can keep Singapore PR for business purposes. But Thailand is a place for you to rest :) Envy your mobility I wish you best of luck
As an Asian, Thailand is for the youngs and teens to explore and experience the freedom of life, Singapore is for those who want its wages to build their future, eventually Malaysia still maintains tourists and migrants friendly, one of the best country to raise family especially for those who have the young and nevertheless for those who want to retire in a luxuries affordable country! 👍
Wow!🤩 I really liked this video. I have been living in Phuket for over 12 years. I think this is the best video comparison of Singapore and Phuket. Waiting for you again in Phuket, my dear friend Maxim❤🫂
Hey Max, when I read the title of your video, my heart sank. I thought we will be losing you. What a relief. But seriously, as long as you are happy and producing great videos, we should be happy for you wherever you may be. Perhaps you may consider longer period of stay in another place whenever your children are having their school holidays. It would be a great holiday for them and a break from the monotony for you too. I can understand that international UA-camrs are very mobile, but I hope we can have you for a longer period of time. But I think if your kids can complete their education in Singapore, it would be good for them.
In ASEAN, honestly the best place to raise kids and work is Singapore. The dynamism there drives fast upward mobility, if you respond positively to it. Kids get the best education and you get top dollar for your work effort. The sociopolitical environment also help promote great efficiency, safety and productivity, driving towards excellence. These are great motivational factors when one is younger. Once you are of retirement age, your personal conditions change. If you need space to explore and travel, Sg is not the place for you as it's limited by it small island.
In SG when someone gets hurt from anything like a mishap, people start complaining and blaming the government/company, "why isnt there any security guard, why isn't there a fence".
Everyone needs to travel out of his/her home to experience and compare, be it self-planned exploration of countries or in packaged tours. For you, Max, I guess you love the safety and stability in Singapore. That's why you chose here to be your base. Not as if Singapore has nice sceneries or super-relaxing and slow-pace. It's because Singapore suits you and your family.
They don’t have MRT so come back let your little kids enjoy the community ❤❤❤ every kid in the world deserves to live in Singapore and study in Singapore
This is the thing, Singapore is truly for the elite. If you are wealthy, have a good job or run a successful business at a certain volume, Singapore is a pretty strategic location. Singapore too small ? With that kind of money, you can travel anywhere abroad living in singapore with better flight routes albeit higher flight ticket prices.
I’d have to agree with the Nomad Capitalist, Kuala Lumpur is a far better place to live and more value for money, greener better environment than either Thailand or even Singapore. His latest UA-cam upload re-confirmed that.
I’ve been living in Bangkok, Thailand, since 2016. Have been to Phuket many times. Phuket is not as safe as Bangkok. Leaving your car unlocked, with the keys in it, is far from a good idea. Secondly, Phuket is not as safe as Bangkok. Traditional Thai families do not even visit Phuket. Phuket and the south are influenced by the religion predominant in Malaysia, and it has local clans. It’s not rare to find elderlies in Bangkok who say Phuket is almost a different country within Thailand. The local clans make Phuket an environment way more challenging than Bangkok or other Thai cities. For example, they dominate the transportation system, preventing Grab (the local Uber) to operate there. On top of that, we find Westerners and Russians retired or party mads. It’s not a place for young, ambitious, workers or entrepreneurs, in my point of view. A more sensible comparison is between Singapore and Bangkok. But for this we need another video LOL
Really? With all that vices in Phuket, I thought they would be more conservative if you say they're influenced by Malaysian religions but they are far more 'liberal'?
I worked in Bangkok for 1 year. Honestly on an average, cost of living in Bangkok is still lower than Singapore. Subways are ok in Bangkok except that it is more crowded than Singapore especially during peak hours. Public buses are a little less convenient and some are pretty old and can be quiet confusing if you are not used to it and the traffic jams can be quite a nightmare. The good thing about Bangkok it the rich diversity and a more relax environment. I never considered Thailand a land of smile as outside the shopping malls, away from the shops, people can be pretty rude. One thing for sure is the air quality in Bangkok is terrible with all that traffic.
Thailand overall is a very dangerous country, the highest country with gun related crime is Thailand and most of the suspects are siam Buddhist including those thai lady boy
@@marvinfok65 How is the cost of living in Bangkok on a local salary though? I feel a lot of people don't compare things fairly and simply use their Singapore salary to determine costs of living in a different country and without hesitation throw around the word cheap. I'm keen to know whether the average Bangkok salary still allows for a cheap cost of living in Bangkok.
You were not living you were doing a tourism stay. For living, you have to compare utilities costs (electricity, water, gardening, etc etc), medical costs, including for major operations, gasoline prices, and so on and so on. And not hotels for rent. And this process should be done for at least a year to get a grip on situation. Singapore have plenty of downsides which is also forcing many successful businessmen to move to cheaper SEA countries. To own a car in Singapore you would be paying 5x prices, would you not? (Thinking license which is also have to be renewed every 10 years). So overall a shallow comparison with a clickbait title.
Me again,so I have been to 154 countries and territories and Bangkok is the best city in the world for what quality and for the cost,I could never afford to live in Singapore or Hong Kong and I have been married to a Thai for 38 year,
As an expat living in Malaysia, I would view Thailand as the place to relax for a weekend holiday especially for certain demographics who would need a relief from some restrictions here in Malaysia. Besides, Thailand is like our backdoor neighbour if we need to throw parties or ''get loose'' once in a while.
Singapore welcomes you for the duration of your stay when you can benefit us economically but once you've outlived your $$$$ to us, please leave. Don't be so sticky. You aren't part of us.
I absolutely love this video. It captures the reasons why i move out of Singapore to Thailand. I love living in Thailand. Singapore is so controlling its not enjoyable. The government is constantly telling you how to live your life.
If you have kids, I think Singapore is the best place in terms of safety, stability, efficiency and predictability. Comparing it like this is not really fair because you are comparing mundane day to day lifestyle to a holiday mode. Anyway, Singapore is so near to all these places, Phuket, Bali, Goa etc and with today's budget air prices, keeping holidays as holidays will be much more fun.
Super nice video, and honest to. What safety for the kids look out sometimes the fun (5 min. in the back or the car) can have enorm impact of the rest of her life. Same as the fun park, no helmet. Good take on raising children. I’m boomer generation and we were NOT coddled. You learned fast you could get hurt bad not paying attention and developing a good sense of your surroundings. We had rock fights, bicycled everywhere, climbed dangerous towers and rock faces, rode horses bareback, etc. Too many American kids today are weak and delusional from overprotection.
If u are working all the time your reality is not the city or Singapore. Your environment daily is just the office or in the room staring at the wall. You can do that in iceland or remote galapagos islands. Your prevalent reality experienced is not Singapore but office and wall. Then it doesn't matter where you live.

@@pannykwan8097 I agree with you. SG is good for our healthcare. My husband once wished to retire in his hometown but changed his mind. As a Singaporean, I say NO to your comment that Singapore is a good choice for retiring?!! Really?!! For work yes, as many foreigners esp from neighbouring countries come to SG to wotk and earn SG $$, but retire back home with a higher std of living using the S$ they have earned. Singaporeans can do the same too when they have retired, but not being locals in those countries there might present some challenges.
Quite surprised that you found Phuket safe. Maybe snatch thiefs/petty-theft incidents are not as common, but I know of two couples who were robbed at their hotel/resort, which is rather alarming.

Im singaporean and would like to comment on the current Phuket situation, have been there as tourists for 3 times. Recently, we have been thinking we will not go back to Phuket again for holiday. One, a total rip off during each and every 'songtaew' and Grab or tuk tuk ride. Two, No more good services, or smiley faces but more curt and rude faces at the hotel. Three, we have seen many times, the local police stopping all the foreigner motor bikes with road signs demanding for a proper International driving permit, otherwise you will be fined. Four, there are simply too many Russian long stayers at phuket which drives up the local food, tuk tuk rides, property prices. I have nothing against any Russian tourists , but there are really too many in Phuket that i though that i am in Russia and not in Phuket, thailand.

CLickbait title but I do agree with you. But yeah doesn't need a comparison since you've made up your mind already from simple reasons.

as a southeast asian, it feels uncomfortable that foreign vloggers pit us against each other all the time. And when they do it, its apparent that there will always something bad to be said about one country.

Fully agree! People should not confuse tourism with permanent living in the place.
How much do you pay for a unit (kw / h) in Singapore, by the way?
The comparison is irrelevant; don't understand why people still try to compare orange and apple 😅😅😅😅.
One is a developed city while Thailand is an emerging country!. And SG is one city/country while Thailand is a whole country and one can't expect to have the same organised things that can be found in SG. Tout should compare SG with Dubai or Tokyo for instance, and compare Thailand with Malaysia or Vietnam. 😂
Don't compare Dubai and Manila for instance; completely irrelevant 😂😂😂😂😂

@@Slla-th5vtBangkok is polluted i agree with that. i agree with you about letting kids learn about 'dangers' and being responsible for their own actions.

SIN is good for people who like city life and never venture out to the countryside.

Hey Max, when I read the title of your video, my heart sank. I thought we will be losing you. What a relief. But seriously, as long as you are happy and producing great videos, we should be happy for you wherever you may be. It would be a great holiday for them and a break from the monotony for you too. I can understand that international UA-camrs are very mobile, but I hope we can have you for a longer period of time. But I think if your kids can complete their education in Singapore, it would be good for them.
Its so kind of you 😌I'm staying!
Its not a bad thing for me. It regulates the system to make it more safe.
Well brother, you definitely won't find as many high quality interviewees as Singapore.
Grab actually works in Phuket.
I wouldn’t buy a car in either Singapore or Thailand. Leasing or long-term rental is better.
@MaxChernov that answer is not related to the one sided view shown in the video. Other people might want to have a personal car for various reasons
Thailand is for poor tourists to party,

If you have kids, I think Singapore is the best place in terms of safety, stability, efficiency and predictability. Comparing it like this is not really fair because you are comparing mundane day to day lifestyle to a holiday mode. Anyway, Singapore is so near to all these places, Phuket, Bali, Goa etc and with today's budget air prices, keeping holidays as holidays will be much more fun.

I found Singaporeans more friendly and smiley.
Work and live in Singapore But come to relax and travel in Thailand.
Thailand suits you better
why
Max, you seem lost in the world always drifting here and there not knowing where to settle? Or if I guess correctly, you're actually harboring a desire to get SG citizenship?
Because there are so many amazing places in the world, haha!
1- Singapore is a Racist country : CMIO give 85% of all visas to "Chinese race", mention Chinese owner on rental listing, "need to speak Chinese on job that doesn't require it
ua-cam.com/video/KM9aWtndszE/v-deo.htmlsi=6mvH5nx3nD8HWd8M
2- Real estate is a very overpriced money laundering scheme where money launderer from China park their dirty money and let the unit empty. Using the money to pay cheap construction worker paid 700 Sgd to build more hdb and condo to attract even more miney laundering.
Real estate cost 2M for a piece of concrete which cost 100k elsewhere, surrounded by noisy neighbours who put washing machine at 3am and get some KTV sex workers at 4 am where 0 noise pollution law will protect you. The condo have a 50 years lease meaning you pay millions for something you don't own (absolute meme). Same for the cars, 100k for a basic car which you need to throw in 10 years hahahaha.
3- Nature : Manmade macritchie a small east coast walk. End of story can see it all in 1 day with pulau ubin.
4- Peoples are manerless and greedy listning to full blast phone in restaurants and dodging queues.
Horrible... F- tier
@@MaxChernov Singapore is the most amazing..Just stay in Singapore..
drifting about here and there is his work. why do you think we watch his youtube channel here. most of us have to stay, work and live in one spot. max is doing the moving about and telling us about the experience of living in other places. SG is great in many many aspects but it's pretty darn boring and expensive. Just how many times do you want to visit Gardens or gamble in Marina. The really really 'fun' places are only accessible to the ultra rich.
You didn’t really explain why you didn’t choose Thailand as your new home .
Don't compare Thailand with Singapore. Singapore is the first world country while Thailand is the third world country. In terms of life, of course, it is different. It is up to each individual, which is more suitable for their culture
How about making Penang , Malaysia your other home like so many expats have...?
At least you are a foreigner.. You can move around..
As a local.. Singapore has become too expensive to survive
They call Thailand the land of smiles. I call it the land of fake smiles...Sure, they are all smiles when all are good and well and you allow them to take you for a ride without much of a fuss. I however, had the unfortunate experience of being hospitalised while holidaying there and I have to say the medical staff there was not the kindest and most patient.
Aiyah, it's the credit card fees lah. Most vendors don't want to pay that coz it can really add up.
Welcome to Thailand :)
This is how Asian works, OK. Work 365 days, if can 24 hours per day.
@@RichardLu-jw6pr Yeah money launderer earning 20 k from rent sleeping until 4pm. Nice joke
Money launderer earning 20K sgd from rents and waking up at 4 pm. Wow very hard...
U should leave Sg.. The fact u made a video to compare means u not happy being in SG. U stay in condo in sg, ur kids are in good school and is always safe and i beleive u and ur wife have good job in sg. U even have a helper. Not many singaporeans have what u have. Singapore is an expensive, small and strict place. Go to other country where have more freedom , cheaper and bigger . 👍
No, I’m actually pretty happy in Singapore
I agree, even for me it’s too many Russians 😂
Kap kun kap 😍
Truly depends on what you want from life.
100%
Kinda clickbait title stating the obvious that a first world country "Singapore " has better infrastructure , safer for kids, better education and better family life if you can afford it . CLickbait title but I do agree with you. But yeah doesn't need a comparison since you've made up your mind already from simple reasons.
Russians over the few years had been buying Phuket properties like crazy.
phuket just tiny district in Thailand you cannot judge whole country by a little tourist places, you should compare Singapore vs Phuket not vsThailand beacause its tiny area alike
but Phuket is similar size
150 euro for massage in Europe? Nah bro, in Vasa, Finland I pay 60 euro.
nice! When I lived in Ireland it was at least 100+ euro for 1 hour
Kindly change the title... It's misleading... It should have been "What works better? Living in Singapore or Thailand? Let's explore.."
Can I please keep my current title? Please 🙏
Kenot
Better if you change it or else your viewers will stop trusting you (like it was a click bait)
@@MaxChernov not going back is in bad taste.
@@MaxChernov I think you should keep the title and keep the suspense. I was wondering too which place you were not going back to.
