I love how you explained when extroverts are alone, they're still engaging with the oustide world. I used to think extroversion is about gaining energy from being with people and introversion gains energy from recharging by themselves. Learning more in depth about MBTI made me realize that extroversion is about engaging with the outside world whether you're alone or with others. Then for introversion, its about going inward to take time to process information regardless of whether you're with people or not.
This is a very good explanation of introversion and extraversion as not just the mainstream's idea of how you like to socialize and energize. It's true to Jung's descriptions of them, thanks for the video👍🏻
@lanalaclaire that's not what the person is implying. It's more that extroverts claim they are introverts I have some friends who do exactly this and when I ask they think they are introverts because they sometimes like doing things alone.
It’s because I love being social and high energy and like being around high energy people but after a while I get drained so I need to isolate myself to calm down
As an ENTJ with ADHD...this is oh to real. I had to realize that I was subconsciously telling myself I don't have permission to feel or express certain things because no has ever given it to me...until I got treatment for my ADHD. I am far more in touch with my own emotions and values. I am in that space where when I enter a room, I am aware of what people sense about me and I truly don't care lol.
Thank you for the info! Super interesting. One thing I’m thinking about is how hyper vigilance can affect your inward or outward focus. I’m apparently an introvert, I take time to process, I don’t jump into situations, I slow down before answering just about any question. And yet in public spaces I’m hyper aware of the surroundings and other people’s body language and their reactions, and I can often predict their response before they themselves fully understand their own feelings. I often mould myself into what the situation requires of me based on the data collected from observation. I’d argue it’s still a form of being outwardly focused, just a different one based on trauma rather than extroversion.
This was a very good analysis. Extraverts = outside perception. Introverts = internal perception I’m an ISFJ. I’m very internal and I hate trying new things. I also get anxious if I’m hopping into something that hasn’t been fully thought out or planned. Introverts tend to think things through. Like reflect more than just hopping into something. My mom and brother are HUGE extraverts because they’re so outside focused. I also related to Elizabeth Olsen too. Idk if other introverts do this….but I tend to have a delayed reaction. Because if something happened, I need to process what just happened in order to make sense of it. And then I’ll be like “….OH!” Haha. This was really good analysis. Loved this a lot! Thank you!
Whenever I have to explain my flavor of extroversion to people adamant about my being an introvert, it's that I seek external ideas and depth of conversation that promotes this possibility of abstraction. It gets bigger and bigger, and it's like a playground to experience these thoughts or exchanges outside of my body (conversation, seeing how others receive these ideas, what other people interpret, how I interpret the idea during and after the interaction with others). I do think sensitive extroverts become even keeled over time because there is a satiation of stimuli and thematic/pattern building over time. But the bursts and intention can be affected greatly by life. People are cruel. We can lose ourselves and be something we're not. I'm waiting for people to publish on diseases, neurotypes, and chronic conditions as the types age. Do you talk about culture affecting cognitive function expression/intensity/context?
Hii! I love your videos so much! They are so interesting to me and I know you put in a lot of work for them! Can you do a video on typing Ian Somerhalder please? Thank you! :))
Enfp 4w5 hsp also dyslexic, more paradoxical than most Enfps, can spend days alone, but in the right environments I'm totally extroverted. But burning my energy quickly
Enfj preferences here. I find that I do 'think about myself', but that's usually a lot about what others think or will think about me (and it's usually more difficult to trust my own view of myself, rather than outside feedback), and if I make a choice that might prioritize my needs more - is that fair to do? Am I justified in doing that? Or could/should I settle and prioritize their needs? When it comes to preparing, I would prepare to an extent for stuff, usually, but I might actively stop myself from going further, wanting to react in the moment and take in what is actually happening. Thanks for this cool video, I know from personal experience how difficult that I/E dichotomy can be 😅
Mm I dunno about that. Maybe you knew this stuff, but for many, the expectation is for extroverts to be loud, overly confident and hate any possible time alone.
@if3359 the thing is, they always set it up like it's going to turn out to be the opposite of what we though. I would put those things you mentioned in the same category as the things extroverts actually do.
Very relatable, I also get mistaken for introvert because of my calm appearance. But the truth is I am outside focused.

Thanks for watching :)
It's annoying how the most social and upbeat people say "I'm an introvert".
True 😂
And telling it to everybody
It's because I'm masking constantly outside of my house 🥰
So all introvert people are depressed and antisocial according to you?

Im loud but I’m not an extrovert. After a while of being loud I quickly get annoyed and stop lol.
Me too
Can be derived from insecurity
@@StephenHENDERSON1 what’s that mean? I’m not insecure just neurodivergent LOL

So extraverts prioritize the outside more than the introverts do with less hesitation. Got it.
This is soooo true. I'm an extrovert and everything that you said , I can relate to.
I'm definitelly inward focused, so I still think I'm an introvert. When it comes to my MBTI I only have a problem with sensing vs intuition.
Have you seen our video on Sensing vs Intuition?

Those are all super useful tips to recognize E vs I, loved this
:)
Thank God for this video ❤

Loved reading this! Thanks I, :)
How you think a lot about others may stem from the fact that you're a Fe dom.
So helpful! Could you do the same thing but with ExxP vs IxxP?
Video headline: extroverts aren't what you think!
Video content: extroverts are exactly what you thought!
Every single time...

I’ll say that I actually learned something from this video! I didn’t even know extroverts had a stereotype attached to them!
It seems like extroverts are usually the ones confused about this. Introverts don't usually have a hard time figuring out if they are an introvert.
@failedatmakingasandwich423 you may be correct
This was a really good video
So glad you enjoyed!!
Used to be 100% extrovert. Now I’m a 53/47 split!! Crazy what 10 years and narcissistic abuse does to you!
Y'all added music to the end of your videos? 😏🤘
Can your mbti change over the years?
I would love for you to analyse Stromae.
Did you try to copy Carisma on command thumbnail?
Are they dating?
Naturally, I've been curious about that, too! But I figure if a time comes when they think it's relevant, they'll tell us? 🤷♀️
Hey man can you analyse liam payne's mbti as a tribute. I know it sounds weird but it would mean a lot. Thanks
Yes
Si dom I think. That’s why he had a hard time moving on. His pdb page is a good resource I think
