I have really enjoyed this series! I've taken a lot of your advice and have found some pretty good deals with Mage Knight probably being the best overall. Rebasing, some painting, dry-brushing, use of washes, and even some kitbashing has helped give me a pretty decent collection of minis for D&D. What I found kind of fun besides seeing the collection come together was making the deals and passing on overpriced "non-deals" of which there were/are many. Like you, I am a Matt Colville fan but also choked on whatever I was drinking when he talked about paying $80-ish to get a mini painted. Whew~! I also liked your other series where you gave yourself a little time to create something cool from whatever you could get. Take care!
Huh the comment that said I was "millennial high talking" is not here. I got notified but it's not here. Anyways I will always strive for better VO in these videos so I will attempt to avoid doing that. It's amazing that someone managed to point out something that I wasn't aware I doing. There are a ton of things wrong with my VO that I am already aware of.
I guess it's just the weird pitching my voice higher at the end of the sentence I was doing in this video. I didn't mean to do it. Similar to the Valley girl thing where they make every sentence sound like a question.
Man I am sorry, but I think most dollar stores have replaced that mold with a cheaper looking one. Best of luck finding those particular rats in the dollar stores! There are still a bunch of really nice glow in the dark minis randomly in stock at various stores.
Dollar Tree and Family Dollar are the ones near me now. I believe that Dollar Tree only has the WWE minis right now. If you have any off brand dollar stores they sometimes have these toys.
that pig
Were you talking about the farmer miniature? Or just my stubby fingers?
I was talking about the squealing pig the villager has lmao definitely not you ;)
I love that farmer miniature!
The snake skeleton is the stuff of nightmares.
The dollar store is fantastic resource. I use it for projects all the time.
That Chaotic miniature look really good. For 1 dollar it was such a good deal
Wow the snake skeleton is amazing. I bet if it was an official dnd mini they would sell it for like 10 bucks

I got a bunch of turtle figures like grandma would put on a shelf. I put on howdas, and the gnomes had tanks
Way cool got to look at our cheap shops. 😁 and kids toy departments
A great vid Blandco thanks for the advice
Some advice if you plan on painting this type of figure. Coat them in wood stain. It firms them up and gives a solid base for your paints.

I was curious and tried looking this up but I can't figure out what "millennial high talking" means. Would you mind explaining it?

I like your voice
I honestly can't recall any of these mini figures. But we do have similar spiders in my country for Halloween.
I never find good stuff like this.
You won me over with the glowing rats -- unlike your players, though, my players will freak out when they see those.

great ideas man, thanks for this
You are welcome. Thank you for watching the video!
Nice. Although, I'm wondering where you got the little stands for each of them?
Flight stands were clearance from Miniature market. Normal black bases were warhammer bases from ebay.
Blandco Oh, thanks.
What dollar store did u find them at..., the Dollar Tree?
Yes Dollar Tree and Family Dollar.
hey man where do you get the platforms for the miniatures that you found at the dollar store?
Mostly they are generic 28 MM war-gaming bases from ebay. Some of them are confrontation 30 MM bases I got on clearance from miniature market.
I LOVE HEROSCAPE!!!
Does anyone know where I could find that chaotic miniature or others like it
What dollar store did you go to to find these? I've never seen minis at my local dollar store.
Dollar Tree and Family Dollar are the ones near me now. I believe that Dollar Tree only has the WWE minis right now. If you have any off brand dollar stores they sometimes have these toys.
Thank you for the suggestion
Where do you get those LEDs? Nice vid 😀
They are LED lights for balloons. Most party supply stores have them and you can get them for cheap on ebay.
@@Blandco Thanks
What do you use for the circular bases?
Ghost Rodents Of Unusual Size
Man, I miss Chaotic
I bought some of those spiders. Check my video out on them.
Interesting! I never saw that ant before.
i work at a Dollar Tree Warehouse and haven't seen any of this shit in our iventory o.O
I know that they came out with a cheaper version of the clear rats, spiders and scorpions last Halloween.
i'm the first coment :D
**Miniatuuurrrrrrres** :P
