Is it because of low contractility in ventricles? Because logically we should see a slightly increased EF in MR & AR at least in not severe cases if I'm not mistaken.
Slightly increased in EF in cases of MR and AR is correct as long as the left ventricle is healthy (not suffering from dilated cardiomyopathy). Does that make sense?
