Any bass does, thats why most choir basses never truly sing at thier bottom, at our school the 2nd bass og the choir is the second smallest group (after 1st tenors) and we all go lower than we usually sing, but even as an entire group we often struggle to project to the entire room as our choir uses no mics.
I am proud of me that I can reach E1 and sometimes even C1 using INHALE BASS technique. I don't know if it's "legal", lots of people use subharmonics, growl or even vocal fry but I have never heard of anyone using INHALE BASS technique. I think it is only technique anyone can reach lower notes than trying to do subharmonics. I reckon that inhale bass is much easier to learn than subharmonics. I am not a musician or even singer. Yes, I graduated from music school and I have a perfect pitch (unfortunately, I don't use my "ability" in nowhere) but I sing for myself everyday and learning those techniques, but I can't do growl or even subharmonics though as I would like, but INHALE BASS is that I can really really do very good. P.s. Your slide from subharmonics to chest and and vice versa is just the cleanest I've ever heard. Good luck!
I'm pretty much the same. Lowest I can get a growl is a G1/G#1. Subharmonics are really hard for me. Can't do 'em consistently and I can't really fry so my chest is stuck at around an Eb2. Inhale phonation/bass is mainly how I do bass notes. It doesn't sound nearly as good as subharmonics, but it's good enough that I can get out a pretty nice E1. It's not even really dependent on good/bad days which I really like. I thought it was "illegal" too from how well it worked and how fast I learned it. I don't really know though. It definitely feels like cheating :D
I mean technically I can go as low as I want with inhaling, but below C1 it just doesn't feel like a note anymore. Btw that's what I think about all notes below A0 no matter the technique.

We can guess the B0 isn't real but they only talked about the A0; the B0 is a lot more real of the A0 though and they also liked comments which talked about the B0

Can someone explain how the bass singers go so low with their chest? It's not like they have a super low voice but I have no idea how they can chest anything below B1 (example: Tim Foust with a F1 chest). Is it just fry/fry-mix? They sound like full notes but it just doesn't make sense to me.
they have longer vocal cords. that’s all. some of the low notes are sung with techniques as well. you can practice singing high to open up & strengthen your lower range, but sadly you can’t expand it by a whole lot.
@@lordego414 also I'd recommend just doing warm ups in the higher part of your register and when your voice feels weak and you start to crack notes (usually about an hour or so in) then go to your lower stuff. Idk if its just me but It feels like my voice just falls on the notes after that. I'm a natural tenor but I've been able to get some pretty solid sub notes down to an E1 still a wip of course but the trick is to keep going

Thats something Dan is known for as well. He almost deepens the texture of his subs to make a very chesty sound and it’s so good

Geoff said that the 0th octave notes aren’t him.
C1-B0 are him, he did say with some warmup he could hit C1 in subharmonics so there is no reason to not think that on a good day he couldnt hit the B0

I did not know that hitting a B0 was humanly possible.
Later on in Warriors he hits an E1, C1, A0, and then a B0
A0 was confirmed to be a A1 in one of their live streams and the C1 and B0 are most likely pitch shifted
The lowest i can get is is a D2 in the morning it sucks so bad im so inconsistent
That’s not too different from me 😔 just work on your upper range to strengthen your lower range (that’s Tim Foust’s advice)
